- OffEdinson CavaniManchester United
- OnDonny van de BeekManchester United
SUB! Cavani, who has been ineffectual tonight, is off for Van de Beek. Alzate looked set to come on for Lallana but he has been sent to warm up with Lallana, who was carrying a knock, looking fine to play on.
SHOT! Fernandes drills a shot on goal after jinking past Gross but it bounces into the arms of Sanchez.
Just over ten minutes of normal time left to play and Van de Beek is set to come onto the pitch. United look the more likely to score a late winner here but Brighton have looked a threat on the break all evening.
SO CLOSE! Mason Greenwood fires a shot on goal which Sanchez spills. It comes back to an off-balance Greenwood who loops a shot onto the roof of the net! That looked destined for the net!
Pogba finds space in behind and he tries to pick out Cavani, who has had a very quiet game, but Brighton clear their lines.

SUB! Rashford comes off for James.
JUST WIDE!!! VAR... NO PENALTY! Welbeck fires just wide from close-range and there's strong appeals for a penalty as there is contact between him and Maguire. Referee Mike Dean is going to consult the VAR monitor. A penalty would be harsh... Dean did not feel there was enough there to merit a spot-kick. Play on.
The corner swung in is easily caught by Sanchez.
United are applying heavy pressure now. Fred's deflected shot goes out for a United corner.
YELLOW! For White for holding the ball too long ahead of a United free-kick.

Brighton are outnumbering United in the middle and the hosts seemingly have no answer to it. But here we go... CHANCE! Pogba lofts a lovely ball into the path of Fernandes but Sanchez does well to get his body in the way of it. United corner which Dunk heads 40-yards clear!
Fernandes wins United another corner off White. He did remarkably well to keep that in! The cross by the Portugal international is poor and is headed away by Bissouma at the near post.
Rashford glides past two Brighton defenders before winning a corner off White. Shaw's cross is met by Maguire and it deflects into the air. Pogba tries an audacious overhead kick but Brighton are awarded a free-kick for his high boot.
SHOT! Rashford registers United their first shot on target from the edge of the box, but Sanchez can comfortably claim it as it is right at him.
McTominay and James are warming up on the touchline and it may not be too long before Solskjaer makes some changes. United have been poor so far this evening and perhaps a shake-up is required to break down this resolute Brighton defence.
Shaw's threatening cross looking for Cavani is cooly cleared away by Dunk under pressure. A win for Brighton tonight and they will go up to 14th, virtually assuring their Premier League safety. They will be desperate to hold onto this lead.

Wan-Bissaka drills in a cross but Bissouma makes a timely block. United are beginning to keep the ball better and are forcing Brighton deeper. The visitors' shape is still causing them plenty of problems, though, at both ends of the pitch. Pogba's lofted pass looking for Rashford lands into the arms of Sanchez.
Fernandes looks for Shaw, but it is a sloppy pass and the ball rolls out for a goal-kick. He has looked far from his best tonight. Brighton deserve their lead. They have looked more alert and up for this.
Brighton counter but expose themselves at the back in the process. Cavani tries to loft a ball into Rashford to get his strike partner into a one-on-one, but he overhits it and Brighton can clear the danger.
Pogba's slightly aimless cross hits Welbeck and Brighton clear. United have struggled to fashion out any real opportunities since Greenwood struck the post in the eighth minute. Brighton boss Graham Potter will be delighted with how this has gone so far.

- GoalDanny WelbeckBrighton & Hove Albion
GOAL!!! Welbeck scores against his old club!! Maupay's excellent cross into the box from the right is nodded from point-blank range on goal by the ex-United striker. Henderson saves it with his feet before Welbeck quickly nods in the rebound! Brighton lead!
Welbeck nods the ball in the box into the path of Trossard, but his touch is heavy and Maguire shepherds it out of play for a goal-kick. That was the first time Brighton have shown any sign of threatening United at the back.
Pogba attempts to slip a ball through to Rashford but they do not appear to be on the same wavelength as it harmlessly rolls into the arms of Sanchez.
Maupay fouls Shaw and United have a free-kick on the left flank which will be swung into the penalty box. United send their tallest players forward. Fernandes plays it short to Rashford before he gives it back. The clearance comes out to Greenwood.... and he SMASHES IT AGAINST THE POST! That was a fine effort from the 19-year-old.
Play has stopped for the moment as Bissouma is down on the ground in some pain. He appears to have damaged his left elbow after falling to the floor following an aerial challenge with Cavani. He is back up on his feet now, though, and he is set to continue.
SHOT! Bruno Fernandes attempts to drive one on goal from outside the box but he whacks it over the bar. United are already getting joy fdown the left flank with shaw and Rashford combining well.
