FULL TIME

Breathe. Everton steal a draw with the final kick of the game to deny United all three points and, potentially, hand the title to Manchester City.

Are they out of the race now? It doesn't look great.

However...

What. A. Game.

90+5'

GOAL! MANCHESTER UNITED 3 EVERTON 3 (Calvert-Lewin 90+5')

EXTRAORDINARY

Everton have every man up including Olsen. Digne's free-kick is into Calvert-Lewin who chests the ball down before nudging the ball past De Gea.

We're all level!

90+3'

United have played really well today but for a ten minute spell that has almost cost them dearly - and still could.

Cavani has been sensational. Everton are lacking a little energy at the end here and United have the ball deep in their half.

90+1'

FOUR ADDED MINUTES

89'

Oh dear.

United almost throw it away as Calvert-Lewin pushes Maguire off the ball.

Maguire wants a free-kick but Everton play on and Richarlison almost finds space for an equaliser.

Margins.

87'

CLOSE!

Digne has a goal on the angle this time but his rifled effort pings off the outside of the post.

Nervy stuff for United. Just a few minutes of normal time remain.

85'

United going in search of a fourth with attack as the best form of defence.

Cavani is doing all the running - man of the match for me.

81'

United win a free-kick in perfect Fernandes territory but the midfielder's effort flies over.

Doucoure is off for Josh King. Final throw of the dice.

79'

CLOSE!

How has he missed!?

United combine with their front four brilliantly but Rashford dawdles in front of goal before lashing an effort one or two yards wide.

They'e had 13 attempts to Everton's three, but there's just one goal in it!

77'

CLOSE!

Fernandes tries to bend one in from outside the box but the ball lands on the roof of the net. It's end-to-end stuff now.

75'

Davies makes way for Iwobi. Attacking change from Everton!

74'

Right up the other end, Sigurdsson whips a dangerous free-kick into the box but Cavani gets the header out.

Everton are pushing for a leveller though, they know what it feels like...

Rodriguez is off. Sigurdsson is on. The Icelandic midfielder has scored in four of his last five appearances at Old Trafford...

66'

United break again as Fernandes tries to drive his side back into the lead.

He picks out Cavani who plays it back in to the midfielder but the Portuguese attempts an audacious bicycle kick to no avail.

63'

SAVE!

United almost have their lead back!

Cavani plays Rashford in behind but his shot from close range is well stopped by Olsen in the Everton goal.

He should've whacked that a little harder for my money.

60'

This game has just got very interesting.

Ancelotti has simply told Everton to get the ball up top down the flanks quicker, and they've done just that. It's causing United all sorts of trouble.

56'

United are struggling with quick balls into the channel now and suddenly Everton look very comfy.

The hosts are shellshocked.

  • James Rodríguez
GoalJames RodríguezEvertonGOAL! MANCHESTER UNITED 2 EVERTON 2 (James, 52) Everton are level! Unbelievable. Luke Shaw surges into the Everton half and plays a great one-two with Cavani before rifling an effort from 23 yards but Olsen is a match for it with a good diving save.

HALF TIME

Just before the final whistle Everton almost have one back through Calvert-Lewin who wastes a one on one.

Encouraging perhaps, but Everton are 2-0 down and Ancelotti will be furious.

They have 15 minutes to get much, much better.

44'

Fred has an effort from 23 yards with a load of space but drags his effort wide. Pogba probably would have scored that...

Sliding doors moment!

42'

CLOSE!

Lindelof gets tied up at the back and Richarlison steals in! De Gea is well off his line and Richarlison turns to shoot on the angle but his effort is just a yard wide of the left-hand post.

Could have been 1-1 from nowhere then after a real shakey moment at the back.

  • Fred
OffPaul PogbaManchester UnitedPogba is hurt and it looks as though Fred will take his place. No real dramas for United there because Fred knows that role alongside McTominay so well. Hopefully that's nothing too severe for Pogba but he didn't look happy with his thigh at all.

38'

Fernandes tries to catch Olsen off guard by swing a free-kick in low and on target, Everton's number two gathers with ease.

United will want another one while Everton are looking ragged. Seven minutes until half-time.

36'

Cavani mishits an effort from eight yards out, then Fernandes shanks an effort just wide. United are finding space and lining for chances right now.

Ancelotti is prowling on the touchline...he ain't happy.

AERIAL

33'

Everton have not had the ball in United's final third in the last five minutes.

The hosts are a joy to watch right now, with everyone putting a shift in. They lose the ball up top but Cavani is straight back helping out in defence - what a signing he's been.

30'

United are dominating now. It feels as though, in the pastmonth, the full-backs have really learned how they can help out up top and it's turned United into a much more threatening side.

27'

Everton had done so well to stop exactly that thing happening for the first quarter of this match. Cavani had barely been involved but like all the best number nines he only needs a moment - except he's a number seven. You know what I mean.

  • Edinson Cavani

GOAL! MANCHESTER UNITED 1 EVERTON 0 (Cavani, 24)

The Uruguayan has done it against Everton again!

It's just so simple from United.

Rashford picks out Cavani at the back post, and he just pulls off the back of Holgate to head in from three yards. It's really, really good.

23'

It's just not quite working for United right now...that final pass always feels a little astray.

Greenwood weaves his way into space now after hopping past Digne, but his shot is on his unfavoured right food and he drags it wide. Should've hit the target really...

21'

CLOSE!

Best opening so far. Greenwood plays a geat ball into the middle that is just a few inches over the head of Cavani. Holgate has to stretch for it to clear for a corner. Then...

CLOSE AGAIN!

Pogba gets a head to the corner but his effort flashes across goal and Doucoure clears before McTominay can poke it in.

17'

Maguire and Lindelof looking dangerously exposed when the full-backs go marauding forward.

Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin will beat those two for pace any day and they need support.

Still no real openings in this one yet...

14'

Digne charging up and down the right flank for Everton who are just growing into this one now.

United do counter now after some fine work from Cavani, and they get all the way to the final third before running out of ideas. Poor decision making.

12'

Wan-Bissaka guilty this time as he plays Calvert-Lewin onside and then heads the ball straight towards James.

Everton win a corner but James floats it out of play before it reaches the box. Dud.

10'

Plenty going through Shaw and Wan-Bissaka at the moment.

United putting on some good early pressure here as they did in the opening stages against Southampton. Everton still have ten men though...

7'

Rashford nearly finds Greenwood with a searching 50-yard pass but Keane heads away.

Then, of all people, Lindelof surges 30 yards into the Everton half and is about to pull the trigger before a blue wall puts his run to a halt on the edge of the box.

4'

Shaw fails to clear the first man as Davies heads clear.

Everton now enjoy a little time on the ball themselves but Maguire cuts out a potential counter-attack.

3'

McTominay drops deep into defence as the Everton frontline harry the United backline.

But eventually the hosts do work their way into the Toffees final third through and Cavani gets a shot away after Holgate makes a real mess of a header.

Corner...
