HALF TIME! Very entertaining game. Southampton probably shading it in the main, but Brighton ended the half strongly.

CHANCE! Brighton should be 2-1 up. Dan Burn drives inside and finds Gross, but his shot lacks conviction. He is slipping as he takes it and Forster deflects away for a corner.

Leandro Trossard has been on the periphery since the early stages. Brighton are lacking a real cutting edge as a result.

Ward-Prowse's excellent free kick is whipped in and just about dealt with by Sanchez. It could have gone anywhere.

It has been a theme for Brighton, searching for Maupay and Welbeck with direct passes. It nearly comes off, but Welbeck can't control.

Really good ball by Pascal Gross, right into the corridor of uncertainty. Nobody on the end of it, though. That is frustrating.

Free kick to Brighton in a decent position. Bednarek fouled Maupay.

Walker-Peters is causing trouble for Dan Burn with his pace. Really looks like he is enjoying himself.

There has been a ferocity to this game, as Minamino cuts inside and shoots. Southampton deserve their leveller.

GOOOOOAAAAALLLL! Che Adams levels it up with a neat volley after Brighton fail to clear Ward-Prowse's corner.

Southampton have responded well, Walker-Peters and Minamino are still linking up well. But it was a bitter blow to go behind when they did.

GOOOOOOAAAALLL! Lewis Dunk heads home from the resulting corner. Big goal for Brighton.

SHOT! Lovely link up between Lallana and Welbeck before Maupay lets fly. Forster claws clear.

Saints look to break with Minamino going through, but Sanchez is alert and deals with the threat.

Quite a good game to watch, this. As expected. Minamino is floating around from the left, causing Brighton a few problems.

CHANCE! Sloppy clearance by Dan Baurn allows Kyle Walker-Peters to find Stuart Armstrong in the area, but he shoots straight at Robert Sanchez.

Brighton have settled and created a good chance, only for Trossard to be called offside. It was started by Lallana; good work by Maupay to find the Belgian.

Decent ball in from Ryan Bertrand, but Adams heads wide. Poor defending by Brighton/
