Brighton's big issue has been scoring goals. They have lost their last three by a margin of one, and were particularly unlucky against West Brom recently. The last time the Seagulls scored more than once in a Premier League game was January 2nd.

Since beating Liverpool on 4th January, Southampton have lost nine and won just one of their last 11 league games. Defeat here could thrust them into the deeper end of a relegation battle. Perhaps their earlier form may just calm those fears, but they are struggling.
