GOAL! West Brom 1 Liverpool 2 (Alisson 90+5)
Oh my word, can you believe it! Alexander-Arnold whips the corner in from the left, and who else but their goalkeeper Alisson glances the ball into the corner of the net! Unbelievable!
Mane wins a corner. Last chance, surely now...
Alexander-Arnold tries to poke a ball through to Salah, but Johnstone is out to claim. This is getting desperate for Liverpool now.
Liverpool win another corner. They need something, from someone, and quick.
There's just no way through for Liverpool. Finally a ball breaks to Salah in the area, he lays it off to Wijnaldum who blazes his shot over the bar from the edge of the box. We'll have four more minutes, minimum.
GOOD SAVE! Thiago has a lash from the edge again, which Johnstone has covered and turns behind for a corner.
- OffRhys WilliamsLiverpool
- OnGeorginio WijnaldumLiverpool
Georginio Wijnaldum replaces Williams for Liverpool.
CHANCE! Firmino drops deep to try and get himself and Liverpool going. He releases Alexander-Arnold with a glorious diagonal ball; from there Alexander-Arnold cuts inside from the right but blazes over with his left foot from 15 yards out.
West Brom make their final change as Robson-Kanu is replaced by Karlan Grant.
CLOSE! Thiago is controlling this second half. He strolls up to the edge of the area, jinks to the right and curls a shot a yard wide of the far post.
CHANCE! A long ball over the top, and through the inside right channel again, catches Liverpool out. Robson-Kanu is in, but his close range shot is well saved by Alisson and it goes behind for a corner.
- OffOkay YokusluWest Bromwich Albion
- OnJake LivermoreWest Bromwich Albion
Another change for West Brom as Jake Livermore replaces Yokuslu. At their own end, a superb stretching block by Ajayi cuts out a cross just as Liverpool threatened down the left.
Firmino at lasts bursts into life, but after jinking into a shooting position he lashes his shot wide from 5 yards.
- OffGrady DianganaWest Bromwich Albion
- OnAinsley Maitland-NilesWest Bromwich Albion
West Brom make a change, bringing on Maitland-Niles for the anonymous Diangana.
DISALLOWED GOAL! This could be controversial. The corner comes in, is glanced on by Ajayi and it hits Bartley and goes in. It's pulled after a VAR review though, because a West Brom player was stood in from of Alisson even though it didn't seem to affect the line of vision on the final touch of the ball.
Gallagher works the ball out to Matt Phillips on the right, and more progressive work from him wins another corner.
Salah does get Mane away down the left this time with a lovely pass, but Mane is tackled as he cuts inside to shoot. We're approaching the last quarter of the match, and Liverpool need to find a way through somehow. Mane is coming into it more, but the captain for the day Firmino has been very quiet.
Salah tries to slide Mane in behind the West Brom defence, but Mane goes too early and he's offside.
Mane and Salah play a quick one-two into the West Brom area on the left. Mane goes over, but Mike Dean isn't interested.
West Brom win a free kick in a useful position, just to the right of Liverpool's area. Pereira whips it in and Thiago glances it wide for a corner.
- OffCurtis JonesLiverpool
- OnXherdan ShaqiriLiverpool
Liverpool make a change, with Xherdan Shaqiri replacing Jones.
Now it's Liverpool that break quickly, with Salah getting in behind the defence, but he can only shoot straight at Johnstone from 12 yards out. As it happens, he was offside.
A quick break by West Brom, with two passes from their own box, exploits the vast space left by Alexander-Arnold. Pereira's cross is cleared behind by Williams for a corner.
Liverpool hog the ball for a few minutes, setting up camp 30 yards from West Brom's goal. They can't find a way through, but if this is a pattern forming it's worrying for the home side.
CHANCE! Liverpool get caught high up the pitch again, and Pereira gets a run through on goal. He's progressively pushed over to the left though, and his shot from the edge of the area deflects softly into the hands of Alisson. Pereira had options to his right then, and West Brom might rue that.
Salah whips a cross into the back post where Mane half-volleys it into the net from six yards out, but he's offside. Moments earlier Alexander-Arnold was advanced again, crossing dangerously into the area, and he looks the most likely source for Liverpool.
Matt Phillips has had a good game down the right for West Brom. Another prolonged gallop down that side eventually sees his cross deflected behind for a corner, from which nothing comes.
We're off again, no changes.
Half-time chat: in the build-up to the Liverpool goal, Mike Dean awarded a free kick to Liverpool after he got in the way of Fabinho and Gallagher moving towards a loose ball. That should have been a drop ball, and I imagine Allardyce will have a bit to say if it goes on to determine a result against his side. A good 10 seconds of play followed though, in which West Brom should've cleared the ball before Salah scored.
- End of 1st Half
Peep! That's half-time.
West Brom are clearly targeting the Liverpool centre backs and goalkeeper, as another couple of crosses are whipped into the Liverpool box. From the second of them ALisson is fouled though, giving Liverpool the chance to clear.
Pereira eventually takes the free kick, but curls it high and wide of goal.
Fabinho brings down Yoksulo, 25 yards from goal and central, and it's a free kick to West Brom. There's a delay here as Bartley has had a bang above the eye which is bleeding heavily.
Thiago is having fun in the middle, pulling the West Brom players out of position with some adroit passing. He finds Mane, who cuts onto his right and sees his 20-yard curler deflected over hte bar by the head of Bartley.
Fabinho plays a one-two with Salah to get into the West Brom area on the right, but can only hit a tame shot straight at Johnstone.
More good work from Matt Phillips on the right for West Brom. He leads the break, but his cross into the area is just too far ahead of his colleagues.
Crikey, this is popping! Robson-Kanu gets through again behind Liverpool's centre backs, only for Alexander-Arnold to get across and deflect the shot behind for a corner.
OFF THE POST! The ball ricochet's in Liverpool's favour from a blind back heel by Mane. It lands at the feet of Firmino, who smacks a shot off the angle of post and bar!
- GoalMohamed SalahLiverpool
GOAL! West Brom 1 Liverpool 1 (Salah 33)
Liverpool are level! Mane nicks the ball away from Bartley on the edge of the area. It drops perfectly into the stride of Salah, who places a left-footed shot in off the far post.
Alexander-Arnold, whose permanent shift further forward in a positional sense can't be far off, is right up the pitch here. He jinks into a shooting position on the right edge of the area, but balloons it over.
Liverpool are slowly taking this over. They've got plenty of time, a full hour and change yet, and West Brom are steadily being pinned back.
Alexander-Arnold's effort from 20 yards out is deflected over, and his resultant corner is also cleared. He then picks out Salah in the box with a raking 50-yard pass, but Salah can only jab a weak shot at Johnstone from a tight angle.
We've got a live one, here. West Brom win the ball deep in Liverpool's half and almost break through their high line through Robson-Kanu. The play quickly returns to the other end, where Firmino is fouled just outside the area.
CHANCE! This is a lovely move from Liverpool, as Salah and Fabinho combine quickly to release Thiago into the area. He cuts it back to the penalty spot, where Mane drives a low shot wide of the post.
More nice stuff from West Brom, as Pereira beats a couple and glides into the Liverpool half, before Robson-Kanu's cross is punched clear by Alisson.
Liverpool are playing with more menace now, popping it around near the West Brom area, and that goal seems to have jolted them into life here. Fabinho gives away a free kick on the edge though, allowing West Brom to clear.
Klopp doesn't look overly chuffed with that. Nat Phillips ran out to the ball, abandoning Robson-Kanu who was still onside. Poor defending.
- GoalHal Robson-KanuWest Bromwich Albion
GOAL! West Brom 1 (Robson-Kanu 15) Liverpool 0
West Brom have been coming into this in the last few minutes, and now they're ahead! Pereira picks the ball up from a flick in around 30 yards out, and hooks a ball in behind the Liverpool defence. Robson-Kanu is clean through, and opens his body out to slot a left-footed finish into the bottom corner!
Matt Phillips finds a bit of room down the right for West Brom, but can only whip his cross into the hands of Alisson.
Almost a chance for West Brom; a free kick is whipped in low from the left, Liverpool half clear and from the second ball Yokuslu glances a header wide from eight yards out. As it transpires, he was offside.
Salah finds room on the right again, but plugs his cross straight into the hands of Johnstone. It's a bright if slightly directionless start from Liverpool.
Firmino, Liverpool's captain for the day, tries to lob one over the top for Salah to run on to. West Brom put the ball behind, and it's Liverpool's third corner of the day already.
From Liverpool's second corner, the ball breaks to Salah and his cross is nodded over by Nathaniel Phillips.
Early danger for West Brom, as Robertson gets behind them on the left. His cross eventually finds Thiago, whose shot is deflected behind for a corner.

Peep! Off we go!
Before kick-off, the players take the knee. There is no room for racism in our lives.
We’re almost ready to go at the Hawthorns, with the players brooding around in the tunnel. Your referee for today’s chucklefest is Mike Dean.
A quick word on the weather - there's lots of it, and it's all wet. It is utterly tipping it down in the West Midlands.
West Brom are looking for their first home win over Liverpool since April 2011, when two Chris Brunt penalties sealed a 2-1 victory at The Hawthorns.
More injury woes for Liverpool, as Klopp confirms that Jota will be unavailable for the rest of the season. Klopp also says his frosty recent relations with Mane have thawed, which is just as well as he'll need him in the coming week.
When Liverpool were pegged back by West Brom at Anfield in December, everything on the face of it seemed fine; they were still top, and looking in good shape to mount a strong defence of their title. The alarming drop-off thereafter has baffled Jurgen Klopp and most observers from a distance; Liverpool lost six games in a row at the previously impregnable Anfield and slid so far that they were in danger of failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Things are a little better now though; they’ve won three on the spin, inclusive of a 4-2 thumping of Manchester United on Thursday. Their closest rivals for the Champions League places, Chelsea and Leicester City have to play each other on Wednesday night, and if Liverpool can win all three of their remaining games they will nose ahead of one of them. Any slip-ups though and it’s all in peril.
It’s been a grim old season for West Brom, with only five Premier League victories. Four of those were provided by Allardyce, whose first positive result with the club was to snatch an unlikely 1-1 draw at Anfield in December, but he has been unable to wrench the club out of the relegation zone at any point since he took over. Allardyce is in bullish mood ahead of this match though, and has demanded ‘ultimate professionalism’ from his team today even though they’re already down.
No Diogo Jota today for Liverpool, he’s out of contention with an aching foot, so Sadio Mane returns to the starting line-up. In the only other change from their 4-2 win at Old Trafford on Thursday, Curtis Jones replaces Wijnaldum in midfield.
It’s a lonely shift up front today for Belgium-flummoxing Hal Robson-Kanu, who takes the sole striking role from Mbaye Diagne. In the only other change from the 3-1 defeat at Arsenal last weekend, Grady Diangana returns to replace Callum Robinson on the right of midfield.
And your visitors, Liverpool:
Here are today's hosts, West Brom:
Good afternoon! Welcome to live coverage of this Premier League clash between West Bromwich Albion versus Liverpool at the Hawthorns.
The hosts have already plummeted through the trapdoor to the Championship and they’re just waiting for someone to close it behind them, so there’s little to play for other than pride for Sam Allardyce’s men. For the visitors, this is huge; Liverpool need the full three points, otherwise their hopes of being in the Champions League next season will suffer a notable and perhaps definitive blow.
Would the spiky Allardyce relish landing such a haymaker on Jurgen Klopp as a parting shot to the Premier League? You’d get short odds on ‘YES!’ if you ask me, so we could be in for a lively one. Team news coming shortly, the match gets popping at 4.30pm.
