In towards McTominay, but nothing doing... and Liverpool looking to make it six with Jones cutting inside... but blocked by Maguire.
Corner, United. Won by Wan-Bissaka.
Three additional minutes.
- Yellow cardAaron Wan-BissakaManchester United
Booking for Wan-Bissaka on Jota.
Oxlade-Chamberlain goes from distance! High and wide.
Free kick, in towards McTominay... Cavani! He's hit the bar.
Liverpool are playing with United here. They're enjoying themselves.
- OffRoberto FirminoLiverpool
- OnSadio ManéLiverpool
Mane comes on to join in the fun.
More Liverpool pressure. United sit back as Henderson ponders, but overhits the ball for Salah.
The ball comes for Alexander-Arnold! de Gea makes a fingertip save to deny number six.
"Attack, attack, attack" is what the Liverpool fans cry.
A poked ball with the outside of his boot from Salah is just miscontrolled by Jota.
There's one from Diogo Jota as well.
Diogo Dalot overhits a cross from the left.
"Ole's at the wheel" ironically jeered at the under-fire United boss from the Liverpool fans.
Liverpool are having their fun now. United fans are streaming out of the exits, the Scousers are in full voice in the away corner.

Keita is receiving treatment and there's a stretcher on the field.
- Red cardPaul PogbaManchester United
It's red. United down to 10, and it just gets bad to worse. Pogba is sent off.
Anthony Taylor is going to have a look at the monitor.
It's being checked. Could be red here.
Corner, United. Won by Wan-Bissaka, taken quickly, and Pogba is late with a challenge and is booked.
Fernandes' cross towards Ronaldo well cleared by Konate.
Away by Ronaldo.
Salah... drills it into the wall, but wins the corner.
Henderson's set up for a powerful strike here as well.
Who's over it? Alexander-Arnold and Salah the likely takers.
- Yellow cardHarry MaguireManchester United
Free kick, Liverpool. Maguire fells Jota chasing after the ball from Jones, a cynical foul and the referee checking a possible red? Just a yellow and a dangerous free kick here.
Being checked... disallowed. He's offside.
GOAL! Ronaldo! A fantastic finish, and the Portuguese cuts inside Trent Alexander-Arnold, and arrows a shot into the far corner for 5-1.
Good covering from Robertson to halt Wan-Bissaka in his overlapping tracks.
- GoalMohamed SalahLiverpool
GOALLLL!!!! Salah gets his hat-trick! Sloppy from Fred and Pogba in the midfield, they lose possession all too easily, and Henderson bends a beautiful outside-of-the-boot pass into Salah's path, and he dinks over de Gea for five.
Keita fouls Fernandes, free kick.
A pass just evades Jones up against the left touchline.
Alexander-Arnold's delivery... United goal kick.
- Yellow cardBruno FernandesManchester United
It's a diamond now for United, with Fernandes behind a strike partnership of Rashford and Ronaldo. Fernandes is booked straight away for a late challenge on Salah.
- 2nd Half
We're back underway.
- OffMason GreenwoodManchester United
- OnPaul PogbaManchester United
Pogba is on for Greenwood. McFred still on.
- End of 1st Half
There's half time. Oh. My. Word. Boos ring around Old Trafford. United are in the mud here. We'll be back in 15 minutes. Wow.
- GoalMohamed SalahLiverpool
GOALLL!!! It's four. Mo Salah yet again. Catastrophic for United at the back. Maguire is pulled across, turned, Shaw is hung out to dry by Fred who is lured in by Firmino, and he feeds the Egyptian, who can't believe his luck.
- Yellow cardFredManchester United
Fred is booked now for a late and high challenge on Naby Keita.
VAR checking it, but the check is over and no red card, they deem.
- Yellow cardCristiano RonaldoManchester United
The referee wants to talk to Ronaldo after a frustrated reaction, and the Portuguese is booked for kicking the ball at Jones on the floor.
Three added minutes, as Ronaldo is foiled by Alisson, and the former gives away a free kick against Jones.
Rashford speeds past Alexander-Arnold tight down to the left byline, but his shot is blocked well.
Foul by Henderson on McTominay, free kick United.
Alexander-Arnold takes the resulting free kick short, and it's wasted as Konate can't hold onto a diagonal tightly against the touchline.
- Yellow cardLuke ShawManchester United
Shaw is booked.
Old Trafford is stunned into silence. The home side are being well and truly punished, and deservedly so. They've been woeful, as Liverpool fans sing Mo Salah's name and jeer at Ronaldo being caught offside.
- GoalMohamed SalahLiverpool
GOALLL!!! It's three! Mohamed Salah!! Kamikaze defending from United. The Reds slice the Devils apart, Firmino, Jota, to Keita, and Salah beats Lindelof at the near post and flicks it past de Gea. 3-0, game over, surely.
Good play from United as Fernandes dinks one in behind for Rashford, who uses unorthodox technique to strike a tame effort into the gloves of Alisson.
Great tracking back from Robertson who flicks an inswinging cross from Fernandes just away from the onrushing Ronaldo at the far post.
Rashford is offside upon receiving a lofted diagonal.
McTominay is felled by Keita and wins the free kick.
Rashford with a shocking backpass into his own left channel and Salah is in here! He bears down on goal, and de Gea pulls out an important save!
Alexander-Arnold over it, away by Lindelof, fired back in by Keita, could fall to Firmino at the far post! Just evades him.
Corner, Liverpool, won by Henderson after his shot was blocked.
CLOSE!! Greenwood works some space to get it onto his left to curl one, and Alisson makes an acrobatic save!
Rashford drives at Alexander-Arnold, Shaw busting a lung to overlap, but the England winger chooses the wrong option, instead trying to find Ronaldo in the pocket.
Jones caught out straight away... Ronaldo... Greenwood.. Rashford's inswinger is blocked, and here come United again.
- OffJames MilnerLiverpool
- OnCurtis JonesLiverpool
Curtis Jones comes on for the departing Milner.
Milner is down and injured, receiving treatment.
Mistake from Milner, and Ronaldo's off and running down the right, but he's isolated, and a speculative cross is dealt with comfortably by Konate.
Fred tries to slide a through ball into Rashford, but Alexander-Arnold does really well to block it on ground.
Better from United. They build play going back and forth across the Liverpool area, but the unwillingness to cross is harming them. They've worked it nicely to Shaw here, and he works it onto his left and strikes! Just wide. Better from the hosts.
Konate's header is poor after an initial Fernandes cross... it falls for Ronaldo, and he's sliced it high and wide.
Lovely interplay again from the visitors in the right half-space, with Salah at the heart of it, but it ends quickly as Trent's pass for Keita is overhit.
Shaw's delivery... Maguire... it falls for McTominay... offside.
Corner, United. Conceded by Konate after a decent clipped ball into the left channel by Shaw for Fernandes.
Animosity coming from the home fans now. They're disgruntled, and even more so as Rashford stutters when faced off by van Dijk, and he loses the ball too easily.
- GoalDiogo JotaLiverpool
GOAL!!!! It's Jota this time, all stemming from a defensive misunderstanding between Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire. Keita exploits it, he feeds Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Klopp's plan works; Jota slides in at the back stick. 2-0. Shambles for Solskjaer.
Robertson tries to fizz a pass beyond Wan-Bissaka into Jota's feet down the left, but the United right-back stands strong, conceding the throw.
No real urgency in the press from United since being caught out in the transitional phase for the goal. They don't know whether to stay or go, and that's a real issue in a game of this magnitude.
A poor, desperate cross-field punt from Greenwood finds its way into Alisson's gloves, but the poor kick falls to Fred, feeding Rashford, who darts inside and fires wide.
Fred loses possession cheaply again and Salah darts forwards, but McTominay recovers well. Liverpool come forwards again, as Keita finds Salah in the right channel, flag stays down, and the Egyptian cuts inside and fires a weak shot wide of the near post.
Fred fouls Salah. Free kick, Liverpool.
United caught by the counterpress again high in their own half; Fred losing out to Keita, who feeds Firmino, but the Brazilian can only muster a tame effort into the gloves of de Gea being forced wide.
- GoalNaby KeïtaLiverpool
GOALLLL!!!!! Liverpool! With their first chance of the game! Naby Keita with the finish; and United are carved open, Salah is found with a penetrative pass through the lines by Firmino, and the Egyptian slides the Guinean in, who calmly slots home. The Reds of Merseyside lead.
Slick, pacy move from United; Rashford does well and finds Fred, with a good ball to find Ronaldo, who, via Greenwood, finds Fernandes in space! And the Portguese hashes the shot high and wide with plenty of time and space. What a chance!
A good interception by Greenwood from Milner in midfield, but he can't find Rashford who's drifted centrally.
Early throw for Liverpool as van Dijk's early long ball is dealt with well by Wan-Bissaka ahead of Jota.
The stage is set, we're ready to go.
Here come the two teams.
The two teams are in the tunnel. Here we go.
Five minutes to go. Can't contain my excitement. Give me a second, doing some breathing exercises.
10 minutes to kick off.
15 minutes to go. Excitement building?
The reasoning for Liverpool's changes are "having to use the squad", according to Klopp. Konate has trained "unbelievably", whilst Jota "was in incredible goalscoring form before the international break".
Goldbridge has his say...

Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer wants to "start on the front foot, dominating the game". Let's see what the United game-plan is, especially with the personnel out on the pitch.
Diogo Jota is in on the left to try and catch Wan-Bissaka out at the far post from a Trent cross off the right, but otherwise, expect an encounter down that side where the England right-back marks his Portuguese counterpart tightly, but holds off at times trying to lure him into a pace race down the line, allowing 'the Spider' to slide in as he loves to do.
Mohamed Salah - in this purple patch of form - will most probably be hounded by either Fred and/or McTominay in the half space when he tries to cut in, and Luke Shaw will have his hands full watching the Egyptian magician in tandem with covering for Harry Maguire's lack of recovery pace. That could be where United come unstuck in particular, with no Raphael Varane to drop behind the defensive line and sweep up through balls.
No Thiago nor Fabinho for Liverpool today, so in the middle of the park, it's a battle of the dogs. Henderson, Milner and Keita, against Fred and McTominay. Bruno Fernandes will, as usual, want to pick up those pockets in the half-spaces, and it'll be up to the Liverpool captain to keep him quiet as the stand-in six.
Cristiano Ronaldo against Virgil van Dijk. A mouth-watering battle, with Ibrahima Konate brought in to deal with the pace of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood, who will want to exploit the space between centre-back and full-back in the channels.
Let's get into the key battles on the pitch today...
To feed into your debate.
Roberto Firimino is rewarded for his fine form in recent weeks, with his alternative Jota on the left, replacing the Senegalese Mane instead, with the former Southampton winger on the bench for the Reds. Paul Pogba and Jadon Sancho sit amongst the home substitutes, as too Edinson Cavani and a certain invisible man by the name of Donny van de Beek.
Jurgen Klopp has sprung a surprise in the front three, replacing Sadio Mane on the left with Diogo Jota, perhaps wary of Aaron Wan-Bissaka's defensive qualities on the United right. Ibrahina Konate replaces Joel Matip alongside Virgil van Dijk in a baptism of fire, whilst Jordan Henderson holds the midfield as the single pivot in place of Fabinho, who misses out due to a knee knock. James Milner and Naby Keita complete the engine room, with the flying full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson given full licence to bomb forwards and pin their opposite numbers back; with Alexander-Arnold in particular keen to stop Luke Shaw's trademark marauding runs down the flank for the hosts.
Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer has plumped very much for a last season look - Victor Lindelof is again next to captain Harry Maguire, with Fred and Scott McTominay - the trusty steeds - in front as the protective screen. Inside forwards Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford support the dynamic Portuguese duo of Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Right. After that stunning analysis of the hosts, onto the visitors...
McFred. All I have to say.
I say it's about time we dissect these teams, don't you?
And here are your visitors...
Here's the Manchester United line-up...
