Southampton only managed one win in pre-season, however, that did come against AS Monaco. It should be an interesting one today, as Tottenham have struggled to deal with Southampton's high press in the past.

As for Saints, the fans will certainly be looking to kick on this season, with much pressure on Ralph Hasenhuttl to deliver.

After a 15th place finish last term - a campaign which saw them win just nine league games in total - progress is expected. And with some exciting new signings through the door such as Joe Aribo, Romeo Lavia and Armel Bella-Kotchap, there is optimism in the air.

For Tottenham, they did not have it all their own way against Southampton last season in the Premier League.

They failed to record a win over the Saints last term, drawing 1-1 at St. Mary's in December, and losing 3-2 at home in February.
