Well, what a game that was eh! Many thanks for keeping me company throughout. I have been Hayden Gribble and you have a good weekend!

FULL TIME - NEWCASTLE 3-3 CRYSTAL PALACE. The whistle blows and we have an early contender for game of the season here at St James' Park! a topsy turvy game finally ends as both side share the spoils. Dwight Gayle's goal after 30 seconds was cancelled out by Daryl Janmaat's toe poke on 37 minutes but after the break Jason Puncheon was given too much space to shoot and put the Eagles ahead. Enter Rolando Aarons, the 18-year-old scored his first goal on his debut and then set up Mike Williamson on 88 minutes after his curling shot hit the woodwork. Just as Alan Pardew's men thought they had all three pooints, Wilfried Zaha - making his second debut for Palace, smashed a low shot into Tim Krul's net to deny the toon army a win.

Alan Pardew is looking incensed as that late goals has cost his side all three points.

WHAT A GAME! ZAHA HAS EQUALISED FOR PALACE! The winger meets a nod down in the box and smashes a low shot past Krul to secure a point for the visitors! Amazing scenes at St James' Park!

The hosts are content just to hold the play up in the corner but the Eagles are looking to swoop and break instantly. Coloccini is standing strong at the back and will have to keep his defence organised in the dying moments of this game.

There will be SEVEN (yes, SEVEN!) minutes of added on time!

GOAL FOR NEWCASTLE! What a difference Rolando Aarons has made! The winger cuts inside, chips a lovely shot onto the post but his team mate Williamson is on hand to tap it home on the rebound!

Neil Warnock is encouraging his charges on as this game draws to a close. Will there be late drama here at St James' Park?

Despite drawing level, this has not been a good performance from Alan Pardew's men. The gaffer will look to owner Mike Ashley to do some business before the transfer window shuts as he looks to improve this side.

AARONS GOES FOR IT! The midfielder goes for goal again with a curling right footed effort that drifts marginally off target! What a strike that would have been!

SO CLOSE! Zaha brings a lovely save from Krul from close range and then drags his shot across goal on hte second attempt. It's just not going for him this afternoon.

DISALLOWED! Zaha goes straight up the other end and puts Palace level! But wait...the linesman has his flag up having adjudged the winger to be offside. He looked level from my viewpoint...

AARONS ON HIS DEBUT! Rolando Aarons, the teenager making his debut today, heads his side level at the back post form a corner and with a goal from nowhere the Magpies are back in it! Campbell came off the line far too early and should have been in place to clear that off the line but it's the 18 year old who makes it 2-2!

ZAHA GOES CLOSE! The winger tricks his way past two defenders and takes a low shot across Krul's goal, but the Dutchman saves well and pounces on the rebound.

OUCH! Dwight Gayle, who opened the scoring within 30 seconds today, takes a swipe down his achilles and looks to be in trouble here. The goalscorer could be going off as Zaha makes his bow.

18-year-old winger Aarons is on for Gouffran. Will the youngster trouble Mariappa and help pull his side level?

Riviere wears a wry smile on his face after connecting with Cabella's deep cross but Dann is equal to it and clears for a throw.

GOUFFRAN WITH THE CHANCE! The Frenchman turns well and strikes early but Speroni is equal to it. There is a distinct lack of inspiration in the Newcastle midfield at the moment.

With half an hour to go, the toon army are imploring their side forward but Sissoko is crowded out on the edge of the box and he cannot find Colback. Just as things couldn't get worse, Warnock turns to Zaha on the bench as it looks like the loanee from Manchester United is going to make his second debut for the club.

SO CLOSE TO A THIRD! Gayle makes a darting run and drags the Magpies' defence with him, allowing Kelly to cut inside and angle a low shot towards goal, but Krul makes a fingertip save to push it just wide.

CABELLA GOES CLOSE! The hoem side get in behind the Palace back four as the French winger sends a cross/shot to the back post but Mariappa is alert to the danger and deflects the ball over the crossbar for a corner.

The Eagles are happy to soak up pressure and try and grab a third on the counter attack as the Magpies are struggling to find a way through.

Chamakh is really struggling here and has thrown his shin pad to the ground in frustration as he is replaced by former Sunderland striker, Campbell. Judging by the boos from the home fans, his stint as a Black Cat is certainly not forgotten!

The goalscorer was famed to have fallen out with his current boss when they engaged in a social media spat over Puncheon's penalty miss last season against Tottenham but there will be smiles all around after that strike!

WHAT A GOAL! Jason Puncheon picks the ball up on the left hand side of the box and has time to bring it down and strike a half volley into the bottom left hand corner.. The Newcastle defence stood off and admired the midfielder's control, Pardew will be furious with the lack of closing down!

The Magpies get us back underway, kicking from right to left...

HALF TIME - NEWCASTLE 1-1 CRYSTAL PALACE. The honours are even at the break here as Daryl Janmaat toe poke cancels out Dwight Gayle's 30 second opener. It hasn't been a bad start for Neil Warnock's return to the Palace hotseat but for Alan Pardew, his side have toiled despite a glut of dead ball chances that they have failed to take.

There will be TWO minutes of added on time.

OVER! Cabella stands over the free-kick and sees Colback unmarked on the edge of the area. The midfielder leans back far too much and smacks it right into the stands.

Mariappa needs to be careful here. The defender upends Riviere outside the box and the home fans are baying for blood. He is lucky not to pick up a second yellow card.

WIDE! Palace break on the counter attack with intent but Bolasie skews his shot well off target from 25 yards.

NEWCASTLE EQUALISE! Janmaat does just enough to latch onto a bobbling ball roughly ten yards from goal and pokes it past Speroni after good work on the right from Cabella. It's the defender's first goal for the toon army and don't they just love it!

STAT ATTACK: The Eagles lost to Newcastle home and away last season without scoring a goal.

SO CLOSE! A sweeping move from one end of the pitch to the other culminates in Sissoko lashing a furious strike just wide from 20 yards!

WELL WIDE! Haidara goes for glory after latching onto a clearance form a Cabella free-kick but his strike from 40 yards almost leaves the ground it is so high and wide. The toon army are shaking their heads in the stands.

Alan Pardew stands cross armed in the dugout as his side continue to labour. The lack of inspiration from the midfield is hugely apparent. What the home fans would give to have Yohan Cabaye still in the black and white shirt, eh?

Despite having the lionshare of possession and having numerous chances from corner kicks, the Magpies are really struggling to create any decent chances so far this half.

DEFLECTED WIDE! Sissoko controls the ball well at the back post and sends a snap shot towards goal but Dann blocks it for yet another Newcastle corner.

The home side win yet another corner as Colback swings it into the danger zone left footed but Speroni is sharply off his line to collect it.

There does seem to be a lack of creativity in the Magpie's defence as they continue to seek an equaliser in this game. Still no way through yet!

SPERONI IS SPRAWLING! Yet another corner givesway to pressure in the Eagles' six yard box and the goalkeeper is on the floor. Luckily for him, Janmaat cannot make any meaningful contact and it goes behind for a goal kick.

STAT ATTACK: Crystal Palace have earned just two points from their last five Premier League games (D2, L3), after winning 15 out of 15 from their previous five.

Kelly is doing his best to keep Cabella at bay as the tricky Frenchman has had a quiet start to this game so far. There is a resilience surrounding the away side here and they are proving stubborn to break down .

It's only early!

HALF CHANCE! The hosts are fighting back here with a succession of corners. Riviere needs to be played into the game a little more as he fires low but sees Speroni tip it wide.

PUNCHEON HIGH AND WIDE! The visitors are looking imperious on the ball so far as Puncheon goes alone and fires his shot high over Krul's bar.

CHANCE! De Jong gets free from his marker in the box and is met by on on rushing Speroni, who back peddles after seeing the striker's effort deflected wide for another corner for the Magpies.

Neil Warnock is cutting an uncharacteristic calm pose on the touchline as the Eagles keep their shape.

That goal clocked it at 30 seconds - the quickest in the top flight so far this season! Newcastle are hitting back as Colback wins a corner for the home side, whose fans have been well and truly silenced.

WHAT A START! Palace have roared in front! Chamakh chests the ball down from the edge of the box and sends a low shot towards the bottom corner. Krul tips it onto the post but Gayle is there to thrash it into the roof of the net from close range! 30 seconds on the clock and the Eagles are soaring!

KICK OFF! The Eagles get us underway, kicking from right to left...

Neil Warnock strolls to the dugout as the teams await the referee's whistle...

Mike Jones, today's match referee, leads the teams out onto the pitch as they are greeted by a loud roar from the capacity crowd within St James' Park.

STAT ATTACK: Newcastle have won their last four league games against Crystal Palace without conceding a goal. Ominous.

TEN MINUTES TO GO! The sun is shining at St James' Park and both sides are jogging back down the tunnel as we wait with baited breath for kick-off.

The visiting fans will be delighted to see Wilifred Zaha back with the London club. Will he make a difference from the bench? Can Warnock get the best out of him. Meanwhile, Hatem Ben Arfa is left out of the squad and has become the subject of a transfer rumour regarding a loan move to Birmingham. Would you Newcastle fans be happy with that? Does the Frenchman really have to drop down a league to regain his form?

With both sides desperate to give their Premier League start a kick start, I'm predicting many goals today. Here's hoping I have not jinxed it for you Toon and Eagles fans out there!

I sincerely hope not, Gareth!

The London side are much changed from the team that thrashed Walsall in midweek as Neil Warnock begins his second term in charge at Selhurst Park by making eight changes. Dwight Gayle, whose hat-trick saw off the League One side and retains his place as Damien Delaney and Adrian Mariappa also retain their places in the first eleven.

Alan Pardew makes four changes to the side that saw off Gillingham 1-0 in the midweek Capital One Cup tie. Jack Colback - who was called up to the England squad for the first time by Roy Hodgson - is restored to the side alongside Mike Williamson Yoan Gouffran and Remy Cabella.

Crystal Palace: Speroni, Mariappa, Dann, Delaney, Kelly, Puncheon, Jedinak, Ward, Bolasie, Chamakh, Gayle.

Subs: Hangeland, Zaha, Hennessey, Murray, Williams, Bannan, Campbell

Newcastle: Krul, Janmaat, Coloccini, Williamson, Haidara, Colback, Sissoko, Cabella, De Jong, Gouffran, Riviere.
