Kanoute eyes Portsmouth move
Sevilla striker Fredi Kanoute would consider a move to Portsmouth and former boss Harry Redknapp. The 29-year-old Mali international is set to return to England this summer after falling out with his club over representing his country, despite hitting 21 Liga goals this season.
"Would Fredi want to link up again with Harry? Sure, why not?" his agent Christophe Magoui told the BBC. "The cost to sign Fredi will be £6.7m, but so far it is just interest."
And Magoui is adamant that the former Lyon, West Ham and Tottenham hit-man is only looking at the Premiership.
"No clubs in Spain have registered any interest in Fredi but he has made up his mind that he wants to return to England anyway," he continued.
"We have interest from the three Premiership clubs but have not had a firm bid from any as of yet.
"But Fredi wants to leave Sevilla and his first choice destination is England and the Premiership."
Kanoute was born in France but angered Spurs after deciding to play for Mali, depriving them of his services for a month during the African Cup of Nations in 2004. He then moved to Sevilla for £4.4 m in 2005.
