March 16 (Reuters) - Edinson Cavani has been ruled out of Paris St Germain's Ligue 1 clash against bitter rivals Olympique de Marseille, coach Thomas Tuchel said on Saturday.

The Uruguay striker made a brief return from a hip injury during PSG's 3-1 home defeat by Manchester United in the Champions League this month but has not played since and was not named in the squad for Sunday's game at Parc des Princes.

Brazilian forward Neymar, who is nursing a foot injury, will also miss the game.

"He is continuing his recovery programme with the physiologist and the doctor," Tuchel told a news conference on Saturday.

PSG will also be without German midfielder Julian Draxler, who has been suffering from a muscle injury.

"Cavani and Draxler are not available," added Tuchel.

The French champions lead the standings with 74 points from 27 games with fourth-placed Marseille on 47 points from 28 matches. (Reporting by Julien Pretot; Editing by Christian Radnedge)
