Sept 12 (Reuters) - Southampton are still counting the cost of last month's League Cup win over Fulham, with manager Ralph Hasenhuettl confirming that influential midfielder Nathan Redmond would miss Saturday's Premier League trip to promoted Sheffield United.

Redmond, who has scored one goal in four games in all competitions this season, injured his ankle at Craven Cottage on Aug. 27 and missed the Saints' 1-1 draw against Manchester United four days later.
Winger Moussa Djenepo sustained a muscle injury during the Fulham match and Hasenhuettl said the Malian was touch-and-go for the coming weekend.
"The bad news is that Nathan is still not available but he is making progress," the Austrian told a news conference. "With Moussa it looks better. We aren't sure whether it's enough to play this weekend. We'll have to look.
"He can bring us something special, he showed it in the few minutes he's played so far that he can make a difference. The chances are not that big, but let's see. I don't want to take too much risk because it's a very busy September."
Defender Kevin Danso, who is on loan from Augsburg, is suspended for the trip to Sheffield after picking up a red card against Manchester United but full back Ryan Bertrand is back in contention after missing three games.
Southampton are 13th in the table while Sheffield United are one point higher in 10th place ahead of the first top-flight meeting between the teams in 25 years. (Reporting by Simon Jennings in Bengaluru, editing by Pritha Sarkar)
