Steven Gerrard won out in the battle of the Liverpool legends in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox on Saturday, as Rangers cemented their status as a genuine big-time club again with a deserved victory over neighbours Celtic.

Victory for Rangers puts them level on points with Celtic at the top of the table, but there was much more significance to the result than just league positioning

The win underlines Steven Gerrard's impressive impact at the Gers and confirms their return to the very top table of Scottish football.
