Parma have appoint Domenico Di Carlo as their new coach following the recent resignation of Claudio Ranieri.
The Gialloblu recently retained their Serie A status after a late-season surge helped them to move clear of the relegation zone.
Di Carlo moves from Montova after four seasons at the club, establishing them as a solid Serie B side after taking them to two successive promotions.
The former UEFA Cup winners have declined since the turn of the millennium, when they boasted such stars as Lilian Thuram, Hernan Crespo and Fabio Cannavaro.
They have suffered severe financial problems, and only hit their stride last season following the arrival of Ranieri and loan signing Giuseppe Rossi in January.
Ranieri has now taken up the Juventus hot seat, while Rossi has returned to Manchester United.
