Besiktas president Fikret Orman has revealed that Mario Balotelli has expressed an interest in completing a move to the club.
The Liverpool striker spent last season on loan with Milan, but the Rossoneri decided not to make the move permanent.
Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that the Italian international isn’t wanted at Anfield, and now it appears he could replace Mario Gomez in Turkey.
“I’d love to see him in my team,” Orman admitted in an interview with Fanatik.
“Balotelli is the kind of player our fans could really identify with. I’m sure he’d be a big attraction for the club like [Daniel] Amokachi and Pascal [Nouma].
“To be honest, if that wasn’t the case we wouldn’t even have thought about taking him. We can find solutions to the lad’s problems, I think he can change with the attention he’d receive in Turkey.
“In short, we want Balotelli and he wants us.”
Fanatik believes that Besiktas will look to take Balotelli on loan for the season, with an option to buy at the end of it.
