Goals from Mario Mandzukic and Cristiano Ronaldo prove the difference as Juventus extend their lead at the top of Serie A to six points with victory on a night to truly forget for Gonzalo Higuain.
Cancelo lifts a free-kick over the bar, but it will matter little.
There will be THREE minutes of additional time.
- Yellow cardFabio BoriniAC Milan
Borini was booked for a foul on Costa a moment ago.
Is there any stopping Juve? This will be their 11th win in 12 league games, with just one draw.
Apparently Higuain was in tears as he left the field. The pressure was too much for him.
What a nightmarish evening for Higuain. First the penalty miss, and now this.
- Red cardGonzalo HiguaínAC Milan
HIGUAIN IS SENT OFF! Oh dear! He is booked for a foul on Benatia, but then proceeds to shouting into the face of the referee. He has to be dragged away by his team mates and this is becoming embarrassing for the former Juve man.
- GoalCristiano RonaldoJuventus
GOAL! AC Milan 0-2 Juventus
Ronaldo seals the points for the Old Lady! Cancelo finds space on the flank, his vicious shot is parried by Donnarumma, but only into the path of Ronaldo who volleys home from eight yards out!
- OffPaulo DybalaJuventus
- OnDouglas CostaJuventus
JUVENTUS SUB: Douglas Costa replaces Dybala for the last 10 minutes or so.
Milan pressure, courtesy of Higuain who wins a corner. But the referee spots an infringement as the delivery is made.
HIGH AND WIDE! Selfish from Rodriguez. He has options in the middle but opts to shoot and it's never likely to trouble Szczney from there.
- OffHakan ÇalhanogluAC Milan
- OnDiego LaxaltAC Milan
DOUBLE MILAN SUB: Diego Laxalt and Fabio Borini replace Calhanoglu and Abate. Gattuso is going for it!
- OffMiralem PjanicJuventus
- OnSami KhediraJuventus
JUVENTUS SUB: Sami Khedira will provide fresh legs in midfield. He replaces Pjanic.
Almost 75,000 in the San Siro this evening. Will the home support get their reward with a late equaliser?
SAVE! This is vintage Ronaldo. It's magic from the Portuguese as he springs forward, eating up a lot of ground in midfield before shooting with his left-foot from the edge of the box, but it's comfortable for Donnarumma.
AC Milan break in numbers, Suso leading the charge. He has options, but opts to play it to Higuain coming in off the left. He shoots first time but sees his effort blocked.
GREAT DEFENSIVE HEADER! Dybala stands a teasing cross to the back post, but Abate, back-peddling, gets a crucial head on it to prevent Mandzukic knocking in his second.
- OffSamu CastillejoAC Milan
- OnPatrick CutroneAC Milan
AC MILAN SUB: Patrick Cutrone comes on for Castillejo.
- Yellow cardTiemoué BakayokoAC Milan
A cross from the right picks out Higuain but his touch lets him down. It just isn't happening for the AC Milan forward at the moment.
Moments later, Bakayoko gets done by Dybala in midfield and takes one for the team. He's booked for the foul.
Juve made a slow start to the second-half, they couldn't get out for periods, but they have settled into their groove once more and are taking control of proceedings.
OFF THE POST! Incredibly close to a Juve second. Dybala curls a sumptuous free-kick over the wall, it looks destined for the top corner but it cannons off the outside of the woodwork.
SHOT! Alex Sandro's cross is met by the first-time volley from Ronaldo but it's comfortable enough for Donnarumma.
As it stands, Juventus will move six points clear of second-placed Napoli, while AC Milan will drop to fifth, 10 points behind the Old Lady. But there is a long way to go in this contest yet.
Thankfully Zapata is OK to continue.
OUCH! For the second time this evening the ball is blasted into the face of Zapata! This time he blocks Ronaldo's left-footed shot. Old-school defending.
THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE! Ronaldo leaves Suso for dead with a couple of step-overs. He spreads it wide to Alex Sandro whose cross is over everyone.
It's all Milan, but do they have the quality to find a way past this stubborn Juve defence?
WIDE! Calhanoglu with an ambitious effort from a tight angle, but it's never troubling the goalkeeper.
AC Milan have started the half on the front foot and their loyal fans are responding, the noise is deafening at the San Siro. Can the hosts find an equaliser?
- 2nd Half
The second-half is underway. It is AC Milan 0-1 Juventus.
WATCH: The defining moment of the first-half.
- End of 1st Half
Well, what an opening 45 minutes that was. It's the fixture that rarely disappoints and there has been plenty of drama already. Mandzukic's header is the difference, but Higuain spurned a great chance to level against his former club, having his penalty saved by Szczesny.
Two minutes will be added on at the end of an action-filled first-half.
And if it was a deliberate handball, should Benatia been shown a second yellow card?
Should it have been a penalty? In real-time, it looked harsh but replays told a different story. Anyway, it was missed, but what a talking point at half-time.
THE PENALTY IS SAVED! That was the moment for Higuain to make himself a hero and exact revenge on his former employers, but he sees his spot-kick saved by Szczesny who guesses the right way and tips it onto the post!
PENALTY TO MILAN! After a quick look at the replay the referee Paolo Mazzoleni points to the spot. Drama!
PENALTY APPEAL! Benatia uses his hand inside the box to stop Higuain's run and the referee is going to having a look at the replay. VAR could prove significant here.
- Yellow cardMedhi BenatiaJuventus
Benatia goes into the book for a late and nasty tackle on Bakayoko who is down and in some distress.
SAVE! Szczensny makes his first save of the night, but it's comfortable for him. Suso lines up a left-footed shot from distance, but it's going to take something special to beat the Juve shot-stopper from there.
Cancelo is looking for Ronaldo at the far post with an arching cross but he over-cooks his delivery.
Milan are playing with some fear. They are gifting the ball to Juventus too many times in midfield, inviting needless pressure.
OUCH! Ronaldo and Pjanic are over it. The latter wins the argument and he smashes the ball straight into the face of Zapata who may need a moment or two.
Ronaldo is going nowhere but is bundled over by Kessie and Milan concede a needless free-kick on the edge of the box.
MANDZUKIC HEADER! The Croatian, again, wriggles away from his marker to meet a cross from Cancelo, but this time he can only head straight at Donnarumma.
Juventus continue to enjoy the lion's share of possession and win another corner. Pjanic delivers but Higuain is back to fulfil his defensive duties and clears with his head.
WHAT WAS THAT?! Chiellini, of all people, curls in a cross with the outside of his left-foot! Benatia heads over, but that would have been special.
Ronaldo has now moved to the right flank, with Dybala going left. The Portuguese is outnumbered on the flank and does well to force a corner.
The early signs suggested that Bakayoko is lacking confidence, but he produces a lovely tackle in midfield just now to win the ball back for Milan.
Ronaldo is hogging the touchline on that left-side, looking dangerous every time he gets a hold of the ball.
Ronaldo gallops to the by-line and drills in a low cross, but Milan hack it clear at the near post.
That was Mandzukic's SIXTH goal of the season. The Croatian is really enjoying himself of late.
That would have been a carbon-copy of the opening goal.
GREAT DEFENDING! Another dangerous cross is fizzed in searching for Mandzukic but this time Romagnoli does well to make the interception.
Here come Milan on the attack, led by the summer signing Higuain who has a point to prove against his former employers. He races forward on the left, but can't quite pick out a team mate with his pull-back.
- GoalMario MandzukicJuventus
GOAL! AC Milan 0-1 Juventus
A trademark header by Mandzukic, but it's dreadful defending from the hosts. Alex Sandro floats in a lovely cross to the back post, the Croatian leaps like a salmon above Rodriguez, and heads it powerfully past the helpless Donnarumma.
OVER! A first glimpse of Ronaldo but he rifles a volley over the top from 25 yards. The Milan fans enjoyed that!
Milan win a free-kick but it's wasted as Calhanoglu curls his delivery over everyone and it's catching practice for Szczesny.
Bakayoko has already misplaced two passes in the Milan midfield. Gattuso will be concerned with how his side have started.
WHOOPS! Abate puts his team into all sorts of trouble with a short back-pass but Donnarumma is off his line quickly to bail his defender out.
AC Milan are in a good run of form having won three on the bounce, but their recent record against Juve isn't pretty reading: they have lost 10 of their 11 meetings with the Old Lady.
- 1st Half
KICK-OFF! Is there any better sight in world football than a packed-out San Siro stadium under the lights? A massive 90 minutes lie ahead!
Right then, we are only five minutes away from an old rivalry renewed between Italy's two most successful clubs. Hold on tight, this could be tense!
DID YOU KNOW? Allegri has recorded seven victories in eight Serie A games at the helm of Juventus against Milan.
He has faced Gennaro Gattuso only twice as coaches, with Allegri coming out on top in a 3-1 win in Turin last season, and in a 4-0 victory for Bianconeri in the 2018 Coppa Italia final.
Juventus may have made their best ever start to a Serie A campaign, but the Old Lady tasted defeat for the first time this season on Wednesday night when they were beaten on home soil by Manchester United in the Champions League.
If they can bounce back with a victory this evening, Allegri's side will open up a six-point gap at the top of the table going into the international break.
BUT LEONARDO BONUCCI MISSES OUT
It's disappointing but the defender has been benched against his former employers. Instead, Medhi Benatia plays at centre-back.
In attack, Cristiano Ronaldo is partnered with Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic.
GONZALO HIGUAIN STARTS
The 31-year-old has recovered from a back injury and features against his former club Juventus. He partners Samu Castillejo in the AC Milan attack, who comes in for the injured Patrick Cutrone.
In defence, Ignazio Abate is given the nod, with Davide Calabria still nursing an injury.
