Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of the Serie A clash between Inter and Sassuolo. This contest was initially due to be played last month but was delayed after a Covid-19 outbreak in the Inter camp. If Antonio Conte's side can win this evening, it would be their 10th consecutive league victory and would move them 11 points clear at the top of the table with just nine games remaining. Let's grab the team news ahead of this 17:45 kick-off.

Goal chalked off! Inter break from the corner, Lukaku has the ball in the back of the net but he's adjudged to be offside and it won't count.

Inter have a chance to secure the win as Lukaku plays a reverse pass into the path of Hakimi on the right side of the penalty area, he tries to roll it across to give Sanchez a tap-in... but it's intercepted. At the other end, Sassuolo win a corner...

De Vrij makes a crucial last-ditch and perfectly-timed tackle inside the box, Srkiniar celebrates it like a goal, but the offside flag was up in any case. There will be THREE minutes of added time to play, can the visitors conjure up one last chance?

Inter chance! Lukaku puts it on a plate for Sanchez, who has just the goalkeeper to beat to seal the point... but his audacious lob is sent well over the bar!

There's no way out for Inter at the moment as Sassuolo throw the kitchen sink at the hosts. Can Conte's side hold on or will the visitors snatch an unlikely point?

GOAL! Inter 2-1 Sassuolo (Hakim Traore): It's all a bit of a mess at the back from an Inter point-of-view and their clean sheet is gone. Hakim overplays it and loses the ball, Young makes a questionable challenge but play is allowed to continue and it falls to Traore who curls an impressive shot into the top corner. Game on?!

Sassuolo win a free-kick in a threatening area, 25 yards out in a central position. Raspadori smashes it straight at the wall and actually straight at the face of Skriniar.

So, Inter will move 11 points clear of the chasing pack with this victory with just nine games remaining. It would take an almighty collapse to lose the title from here.

Traore hits the side-netting as another Sassuolo chance goes begging. It's not their night in front of goal.

Sassuolo, to their credit, aren't prepared to give up without a fight, and once again they are denied a penalty after their appeals for a De Vrij handball go ignored.

All eyes are on the referee as VAR has a look at the incident inside Inter's penalty area... but the goal is going to stand! It's Inter 2-0 Sassuolo and surely now Conte's men have one hand on the title. Meanwhile, Vecino replaces Gagliardini here.

GOAL! Inter 2-0 Sassuolo (Lautaro Martinez): The advantage is doubled with a textbook counter-attack goal! De Vrij grabs the shirt of Raspadori inside the Inter penalty area but Sassuolo's penalty appeals fall on deaf ears. And here come the hosts on the counter, Lukaku feeding Martinez who punishes them with a clinical finish!

Conte's blueprint on this squad is very clear now - Inter have conceded just three goals in their last 10 matches - and it's becoming increasingly difficult to see Sassuolo breaching it this evening.

It's still all Sassuolo and yet they have to create a clear cut opportunity with an hour on the clock.

Chance for Sassuolo! The visitors work a nice and patient attacking move, the ball is worked into the path of Djuricic, who finds a pocket of space to run into. He should do better with the shot, however, as he drags it well wide of goal.
