Hernandez fouls Zaniolo, and has got to be careful because of his yellow card.
Decent position here for the free kick, although maybe a tad too central. Kjaer and Tomori forward for Bennacer's delivery, but Karsdorp is fouled in the melee and the set piece comes to nothing.
Free kick, Milan. Pellegrini fouls Bennacer in midfield.
Pellegrini with a neat half-turn, feeding Vina to his left, but the Milan 'keeper can gather the hurried cross.

GOALLL!!! Now they double their cushion; Franck Kessie makes no mistake from 12 yards, Patricio was unsighted. 2-0.
He's given it.
PENALTY! What a counter from Milan after the initial shot from Abraham was so well blocked! Hernandez drove forwards, fed Ibrahimovic, who is felled by Ibanez, but the replay shows that the centre-back got a touch on the ball! VAR checking, the referee is going to have a look at it.

Hernandez fouls Zaniolo, and it's a promising free kick from deep on the right for the hosts. Pellegrini's delivery.. it's gone all the way through... but no one gets the touch. Corner.
Free kick, Milan. Won by Hernandez, fouled by Cristante.
No goal! Leao is offside after an incredible chest flick from Ibrahimovic, and the Portuguese does all the right things, flicking it over Patricio and nodding it into the unguarded net, but it won't count.
Potential penalty claim for the visitors... Leao bustled his way through the middle into the area and was felled, but the referee waved play on and Milan come again!
Free kick, Milan. Bennacer over it from deep, but he plays it short for Kjaer instead.
It's been a frustrating game thus far for Zaniolo. He's getting limited service, and when he has had the ball, Theo Hernandez has been lightning quick when getting tight to him.
Bennacer has really shone here for Milan. Ibrahimovic will take the limelight for the goal so far, but the Algerian is really pulling the strings behind the curtain.
Lovely play from Milan again, they're knocking it around beautifully with Ibrahimovic at the heart of it. He lays one off for Bennacer to have a go, but the Algerian fires over.

Pellegrini follows up a lovely pass into the channel from Karsdorp with another beauty towards Abraham, but the striker shows too much of it to Kjaer and loses possession.
Abraham is caught offside trying to run onto Mkhitaryan's through ball.
More lovely interplay from Milan. Calabria skips beyond Mkhitaryan and finds Bennacer, and the Algerian looks for Hernandez via an Ibrahimovic dummy. The Swede gets the ball back and clips a nicely shaped ball to the back post, but Calabria can't keep it in.
Ibrahimovic links up well with Krunic, pinning Ibanez, and a left-footed strike makes its way wide.
Bennacer with a lovey ball to Hernandez, and his cross is really well defended by Mancini, with Ibrahimovic lurking!

Nice move from Milan. Calabria wins the ball too easily off Veretout, feeding Ibrahimovic, bounces the ball off Saelemaekers, who finds Kessie... and he drags it wide.
Milan lose the ball high, and it's a four on three here... Pellegrini drives forwards, and looks for Mkhitaryan, but the pass is overhit and the chance is gone.
Interesting to see the positioning of the Milan midfielders here. Bennacer is much deeper than the more advanced Kessie, dropping in between the centre-halves, with the Ivorian with more licence to roam forwards.
Vina... lovely switch of play from the hosts, he's past Saelemaekers, and he's pulled it back for Pellegrini! Just wide.
A fast-paced start here. Lorenzo Pellegrini is active early, driving with the ball through the middle with purpose.
The players are out, the stage is set.
Five minutes. Who's excited?
Ten minutes to go.
15 minutes to kick off.
For those that missed them, here are the teams...
Half an hour to kick off.
Big game for both sides tonight. A win for Roma would pull them clear of 5th placed Atalanta in the race for the top four, whilst Milan would go level on points at the summit with league leaders Napoli should they steal the three points.
The visitors are also in a 4-2-3-1 shape, but it's Theo Hernandez who returns to the side at left-back despite the good form of deputy Fode Ballo-Toure. Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer and Fikayo Tomori complete a back four filled with key defensive attributes, feeding into a wonderful complexion of pace, strength, aerial ability and aggression. In the middle of the park, Ismael Bennacer will orchestrate from deep with Franck Kessie more all-action, winning the ball, progressing play from the pass or through a line-breaking dribble, with the Bosnian Rade Krunic as the number ten to support him. Out wide, it'll be the jobs of Alexis Saelemaekers and Rafael Leao to feed the veteran hitman Zlatan Ibrahimovic up top.
For the home side, Jose Mourinho has gone for a 4-2-3-1 shape, solidified by the presence of Bryan Cristante and Jordan Veretout in the engine room, with the Italian the more deep-lying, looking to break up attacks and play progressive passes from a more recluded position. Veretout will be more advanced, with licence to support the number ten Lorenzo Pellegrini, who is flanked by Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Zaniolo, with the Italian right-winger offering a threat at the far post from crosses into the box. Tammy Abraham leads the line, offering further evidence that deliveries into the area could be the best strategy for Roma to adopt. At the back, Gianluca Mancini is partnered with Brazilian Ibanez, flanked by Urguayan Matias Vina on the left, and Rick Karsdorp off the right. Both will have some licence to get forward, although they'll be more reserved when taking their direct opponents into consideration.
Let's delve deep into the dissection of these line-ups then, shall we?
Here they are...
Roma: Patricio, Karsdorp, Mancini, Ibanez, Vina, Cristante, Veretout, Zaniolo, Pellegrini, Mkhitaryan, Abraham.
Milan: Tatarusanu, Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez, Kessie, Bennacer, Saelemaekers, Krunic, Leao, Ibrahimovic.
