- End of 2nd Half
Full-time! It's all over! Maxi Lopez's goal five minutes into stoppage-time means Sassuolo inflict a first defeat on Juventus in 10 as Massimiliano Allegri's 200th game in charge of the Old Lady ends in bitter disappointment.
- GoalMaxime LopezSassuolo
GOAL! Juventus 1-2 Sassuolo (Maxime Lopez): Oh my word! Sassuolo have won it right at the death! With Juventus committing so many players forward, they're caught on the counter-attack, and Lopez punishes them with a composed finish, lifting the ball over Perin! What a finale!
Juventus have FIVE minutes of added time to try to find a winner.
- OffMert MüldürSassuolo
- OnAbdou HarrouiSassuolo
Another Sassuolo switch.
- OffHamed TraorèSassuolo
- OnVlad ChirichesSassuolo
Juventus tempers are frayed - they clearly believe Sassuolo are time wasting. The referee agrees and books Muldur for taking an age to leave the pitch as he's replaced by Vlad Chiriches.
Henrique requires treatment for a facial injury after a collision with Arthur and he's being patched up.
- OffManuel LocatelliJuventus
Arthur comes on for Danilo.
- OnDejan KulusevskiJuventus
Dejan Kulusevski is on for Locatelli.
Juventus now have just over 10 minutes to find an equaliser - but they've struggled to get a hold of the ball since scoring!
- GoalWeston McKennieJuventus
GOAL! Juventus 1-1 Sassuolo (Weston McKennie): Juve are level! It's a terrific free-kick delivery from Dybala, McKennie climbs highest and arrows a header into the corner of Sassuolo's net for his first goal of the season! It couldn't have come at a better time!
Traore, who is already on a yellow card, fouls Traore but escapes further punishment.
Frattesi celebrates his opener with team mates - but will it prove decisive? Fifteen minutes remain.
Locatelli's weak shot from the edge of the box is blocked. He hasn't exactly excelled against his former club tonight.
Cuadrado dinks a ball to the back post. It's out of reach for Kaio Jorge, but the Brazilian tries to improvise with a bicycle-kick, which sails wide of the far post. It wouldn't have counted had he executed it - the offside flag is raised!
There's a concern for Sassuolo here as their goalscorer, Frattessi, has picked up a knock and must leave the field for treatment.
Still plenty of time for Juve to rescue this, but it's worth remembering that Allegri described this as a must-win game yesterday...
- Yellow cardJuan CuadradoJuventus
Cuadrado is booked for a foul from behind on Traore.
- OffÁlvaro MorataJuventus
- OnKaio JorgeJuventus
Morata hasn't had the best of nights and is replaced by Kaoi Jorge in Juventus's second change.
- OffGiacomo RaspadoriSassuolo
- OnGianluca ScamaccaSassuolo
Gianluca Scamacca comes on for Raspadori.
Double chance for Juve! Consigli does well to keep out Dybala's effort but can only parry it into the path of Chiesa. He should really score but fires the rebound over the bar!
Off the line! Cuadrado connects sweetly with a half-volley, the goalkeeper is beaten but Kaan is on the line to make a crucial block! So close to an equaliser!
Close to a second! Raspadori has a clear sight of goal but bends his shot agonisingly wide of the far post. That could be a costly miss for Sassuolo!
Alex Sandro climbs highest to meet the resulting free-kick delivery but heads over the bar.
Chiesa is the target of a late and hefty challenge from Lopez, and although he wins the free-kick, the yellow card is not forthcoming.
Danilo reacts quickest to Berardi's cross to make an important headed clearance for Juventus. A second goal from the visitors would give the Old Lady a real mountain to climb.
Chiesa gets in behind the Sassuolo defence after a promising attack, but it ends in disappointment as his cross is too close to the goalkeeper, who gathers.
- OffAdrien RabiotJuventus
- OnJuan CuadradoJuventus
It should be noted that Juan Cuadrao replaced Rabiot at the break.
- 2nd Half
Kick-off! Juventus get the second half underway, determined for improvement after a largely lacklustre performance so far.
- End of 1st Half
Half-time: Juventus are trailing at the break thanks to Davide Frattesi's 44th-minute goal. The Old Lady started brightly but the injury to De Sciglio took the wind out of their sails. Dybala striking the post was as close as the hosts came to an opener, but the visitors stunned them just before the break!
Just one minute will be added on, which seems rather odd considering the length of time De Sciglio was down.
- GoalDavide FrattesiSassuolo
GOAL! Juventus 0-1 Sassuolo (Davide Frattesi): The hosts are stunned; Sassuolo lead! They hadn't created much - until now! Defrel's through ball is pounced upon by Frattesi and he makes no mistake with his finish!
Chaos ensues as Sassuolo try - and fail - to clear their lines. It drops to Chiesa but he can't keep his shot down and it's a let off for the visitors.
Off the post! Dybala pounces after Locatelli takes a heavy touch and only the post denies the Juventus forward from netting the opener with a fierce shot from the edge of the box!
Sassuolo have grown into the contest as the half has worn on. Danilo is needed to block Traore's shot following a misplaced pass from Bonucci.
Sassuolo midfielder Traore can't resist the temptation of having a shot after the ball rolls kindly into his path. But the result is high, wide and not at all pretty.
- Yellow cardGrégoire DefrelSassuolo
Sassuolo forward Defrel is into the book for catching the right leg of Alex Sandro, which looks a harsh decision from the referee having watched it back on replay.
Defrel receives the ball inside the Juve penalty area following a sweeping attack. De Ligt has to get his tackle just right and he executes it superbly, winning the ball back for the hosts.
Consigli is forced into action, saving Rabiot's straightforward header, but the offside flag is raised in any case.
Dybala and Chiesa combine, the former laying a nice pass into the latter but he runs into trouble inside the Sassuolo penalty area.
Dybala heads the ball into the path of Morata, who collides with Consigli, and although the Sassuolo goalkeeper comes out the worst, he'll be fine to continue.
Appeals for handball! The ball is cut back to Rabiot from the by-line and his first-time is blocked inside the Sassuolo penalty. The referee, however, is unmoved.
Dybala appears to be fouled as he receives the ball on the right channel, but the referee doesn't give Juventus the free-kick!
Chance for Sassuolo! Juventus possession cheaply again; this time McKennie is the guilty party. Berardi checks inside and whips a shot towards goal, searching for the far post, and Perin has to be at full stretch to keep it out!
Berardi nicks the ball from Alex Sandro down Juventus's left flank but Sassuolo fail to make the most of the opportunity on the break.
Chiesa is surrounded by visiting defenders but almost picks out a through pass to Morata. Not this time, though.
The injury to De Sciglio appears to have halted Juventus's momentum - for now, at least.
- OffMattia De SciglioJuventus
- OnAlex SandroJuventus
De Sciglio limps off the pitch and appears to be in considerable pain. Alex Sandro takes his place.
De Sciglio goes down holding his knee and this doesn't look good for the Juventus defender. Alex Sandro is warming up.
Muldur receives the ball on the overlap as Sassuolo build an attack but his cross is over the head of everyone.
Consigli has to be alert as De Sciglio mishits a cross and forces the Sassuolo goalkeeper into action, tipping the ball over the bar. The resulting corner delivery drops at the feet of Danilo but he can't control his volley and sends it wide.
Morata appears to be onside as he controls a long ball out of defence on the left flank. He fires a teasing cross into the middle - but no one is there. And then the offside flag goes up!
A mightily positive start from Juventus; Sassuolo are struggling to keep a hold of the ball for more than a few seconds.
Important block! Sassuolo make a mess while trying to play out from the back as Ferrari plays a loose pass which is pounced on by the hosts. Morata lays it off to Chiesa but Ferrari makes amends by blocking his shot.
Morata is played behind the Sassuolo defence but just as he's about to shoot the offside flag does up.
Great chance! Juventus should be ahead with barely two minutes on the clock! Chiesa whips in a free-kick delivery, there's a suspicion about offside but the flag stays down as Bonucci swipes wide with a first-time shot from point blank range!
Kick-off! Allegri is taking charge of his 200th game in charge of Juventus tonight! Can the Old Lady mark the occasion with victory?
The players have emerged; kick-off is next!
Manuel Locatelli plays against his former club this evening.
Juventus's last defeat came against Napoli on September 11, but The Emilians aren't in bad form either, losing just only one of their last four league outings.
15 minutes until kick-off!
Did you know? Juventus have only lost one of their 16 Serie A matches against Sassuolo (12W, 3D): 0-1, in October 2015, thanks to a goal from Nicola Sansone, in a midweek round. In fact, the Bianconeri have won seven of their eight Serie A matches against Sassuolo at the Stadium, with the Bianconeri having scored 23 goals.
Maxi Allegri (speaking to press on Tuesday): "Tomorrow is an important match for us, the boys know that we have to win. The points that we lost at the beginning of the season don't allow us to have large margins of error. Tomorrow, we will have to take to the field to play a balanced match, both from a technical and physical point of view."
Leonardo Bonucci is making his 400th Serie A appearance this evening.
Juventus come into this evening's off the back of a scarcely deserved 1-1 draw with rivals Inter...
For the visitors, Hamad Toure comes in for the injured Filip Djuricic, with Gregoire Defrel leading the attack.
Federico Chiesa is restored to the Juventus fold after starting on the bench in the 1-1 draw with Inter in which Maxi Allegri's side looked lacklustre for large parts. The newly-fit Paulo Dybala, who was also a substitute but rescued a point with his late penalty, also starts. Mattia Perin comes in for Wojciech Szczesny in goal and Matthijs de Ligt replaces Giorgio Chiellini in defence.
TEAMS - Juventus XI: Perin, Danilo, Bonucci, De Ligt, De Sciglio, Chiesa, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Dybala, Morata /// Sassuolo XI: Consigli, Muldur, Kaan, Ferrari, Rogerio, Maxime Lopez, Frattesi, Berardi, Raspadori, Traore, Defrel.
