Davide Frattesi scored in stoppage-time to give Inter a 2-1 win against struggling Hellas Verona who missed a penalty in the dying seconds.
The first half produced few chances with the visitors having two good opportunities including Milan Djuric's header which was well saved by Yann Sommer.
The Nerazzurri broke the deadlock with their only shot on target of the half when Henrikh Mkhitaryan's through ball found Lautaro Martinez who stabbed the ball home inside the box.
It was a similar story in the second half although Simone Inzaghi's side did put the ball in the back of the net courtesy of Martinez but it was ruled out for offside.
Both sides made some substitutions in the final 20 minutes and it was Verona's that paid off first with Thomas Henry diverting Duda's cross into the net at the near post less than a minute after coming on.
But in the 93rd minute, Alessandro Bastoni's volley hit the bar following a corner and Frattesi eventually tapped in the rebound to equalise.
After Darko Lazovic was sent off for the visitors they had the chance to equalise when they were awarded a penalty deep into added-time after a foul by Matteo Darmian. Henry stepped up but he hit the post.
The result sees Inter increase their lead over Juventus at the top of the table to five points while Verona are only clear of the relegation zone on goal difference.

Talking Point - Chaotic final few minutes

It was a subdued 75 minutes with both sides creating few chances on target.
But the game exploded into life when Henry equalised 45 seconds after coming off the bench.
Frattesi then scored in stoppage-time, then there was a red card and a missed penalty by Henry in the 100th-minute as Inter somehow clung on for the three points despite being far from their best.

Player of the Match - Yann Sommer (Inter Milan):

In a game with few standout performers, the Swiss international produced two good saves and also rode his luck as Henry's stoppage time penalty hit the upright.
