Is this tie over? Barcelona will take a 2-0 lead into Wednesday's Super Copa second leg at Camp Nou. Can Sevilla overturn that deficit? To stand any chance of doing that they will need to show more of a cutting edge in front of goal. They were toothless against the Catalans tonight.

FULL-TIME: Sevilla 0-2 Barcelona

Sevilla really haven't made the most of the possession they have had this evening. That will be of great concern to Sampaoli. They have never really looked like scoring here.

Just two minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.

Of course, this is a two legged affair, with the second leg taking place on Wednesday. That means that if Sevilla were to get a goal they would have a lifeline in this tie.

ANOTHER BIG CHALLENGE! Vazquez looks to be clean through on the Barcelona goal, but Mascherano comes striding over and makes the challenge to deny the striker the shot.

YELLOW CARD: Luis Suarez (Barcelona)

That's the issue for any team chasing the game against Barcelona. Sevilla left too much space in behind for the Catalans to exploit and they made the most of it. Clinical from them.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Sevilla 0 Barcelona 2 (82 mins - Munir El Haddadi). Was that his first touch of the game? Messi slots a pass through to Munir, who takes the shot early and converts to give Barcelona a 2-0 lead in Sevilla.

MASCHERANO MAKES THE BLOCK! The ball falls to Vazquez inside the box after a scramble, but the Barcelona defender throws himself of it to make the block to deny the shot.

Indeed, the home side are now having more of the ball and are attacking with more intent. The fresh legs from the subs seem to have done them a lot of good as they look for an equaliser.

Can Sevilla create an opportunity to level this match? They haven't had much joy in front of goal, but they tend to find their best form towards the end of big games.

YELLOW CARD: Franco Vazquez (Sevilla)

Barcelona sub: Arda Turan OFF, Munir El Haddadi ON.

Sevilla are often at their best towards the end of matches, but that hasn't been the case so far this evening. They have in fact faded as Barcelona have taken more of a grip of the contest.

Digne has been impressive for Barcelona at left-back. He will provide real competition for Alba in that position. How they must wish that he were a right back. That would be handy.

A freekick is whipped into the Sevilla box and Pique is unhappy with the referee. He believes that he was wrestled to the ground by one of the Sevilla defenders. Nothing given.

The Sevilla fans aren't happy with Messi at the moment. They feel the Barcelona playmaker is making the most of any contact with one of the home players. Accusing him of playacting.

YELLOW CARD: Stephen N'Zonzi (Sevilla)

Sevilla sub: Matias Kranevitter OFF, Ganso ON.

The problem for Sevilla is that while Barcelona have Suarez leading the line, they don't have anyone who looks like they could take a chance should it fall to them in the penalty area.

PENALTY SHOUT! Sevilla believe they should have been awarded a spot kick as Mascherano gets tight to Vitolo inside the box. Rakitic almost scores an own goal soon after!

ROBERTO SHOOTS AT GOAL! The right back turned midfielder strides into the final third and unleashes a powerful shot at the Sevilla goal, but Rico makes the save at his near post.

Sevilla need to make more of their set pieces. That's where Barcelona are vulnerable and the home side have the physical threats to cause them problems. Must improve.

This game has changed with Messi's dropping deep into the centre of midfield. With Iniesta off the pitch they needed someone to do that and the Argentine is as good a passer as anyone.

Vietto comes off for Sevilla and he will be disappointed with how he played tonight. He never once looked like scoring. He is clearly still adapting to his new team since moving from Atletico.

Sevilla sub: Luciano Vietto OFF, Wissam Ben Yedder ON.

The problem for Sevilla is that they now need to attack a bit more and commit a few more players forward. That will give Barcelona more space to expose on the counter attack.

Indeed, this has been an impressive match for Turan. He could yet become a key player at Barcelona, despite all the speculation linking him with a move away from the Camp Nou.

YELLOW CARD: Sergio Busquets (Barcelona)

Enrique will be delighted with that goal! Not just because it has given his Barcelona team the lead, but because it was created by two fringe players of his - Denis and Turan.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Sevilla 0 Barcelona 1 (55 mins - Luis Suarez). An excellent opener from Barcelona! Denis clips a pass into Turan, who chests the ball into the path of Suarez. The striker fires home a low finish past Rico.

Messi is dropping really deep to receive the ball and push the play forward. It's making a difference for the Spanish Liga champions. With Iniesta missing they need him to pick a pass.

Barcelona are really missing the influence of Alves down the right side. I think they could realise just how important the Brazilian was for them now that he has left to join Juventus.

The away side seem to have more control of the contest at the start of the second half. It was 50-50 in terms of possession in the first half. But Barcelona are looking to change that now.

Barcelona struggled to make much of an impression in the final third in the first half. Rather strangely for them, they were bypassing the midfield with long balls forward.

No changes made by either coach at the break. Of course, Barcelona only have one change left to make after two injuries to Mathieu and Iniesta in the first 45 minutes of play.

The second half is under way at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan! It's still 0-0 between Sevilla and Barcelona.

What did you make of the first half in the Spanish Super Copa? Should Sevilla be concerned that they haven't taken the lead? Are Barcelona lucky to be level? Tweet me!

HALF-TIME: Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona. The first half comes to a close at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. The hosts have been the better side, just, but the scoreline is still level.

This has been an entertaining match so far, but both sides have struggled to create much in the attacking third of the pitch. Suarez has had the game's only great opportunity.

A fair chunk of stoppage time at the end of the first half. That'll be down to the two subs that have been made by Barcelona due to injuries. Still time for a goal in the first half.

Three minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.

Sevilla's Matias Kranevitter (L), Hiroshi Kiyotake, Luciano Vietto (R) and Barcelona's Lionel Messi in action.

Can Sevilla find a breakthrough before the half-time interval? Sampaoli will be pleased with what he has seen, but they have still to bother Bravo much in the Barcelona goal.

For all that Sevilla have been the better team in this first half, they have yet to create a real chance in front of goal. Barcelona haven't really been troubled in that way so far.

Enrique said earlier in the week that his team weren't ready for top flight competitive action and on the basis of this showing he was right. Barcelona have been second best.

Denis has impressed in pre-season and should be a decent replacement for Iniesta. However, Iniesta is Iniesta. Denis doesn't have the same kind of creative edge as the veteran.

There's another change for Barcelona, with Enrique taking no risks. Iniesta picked up a knock which didn't look too serious, but the playmaker has now been withdrawn just to make sure.

Barcelona sub: Andres Iniesta OFF, Denis Suarez ON.

This has been quite a nippy game in the first half. Both teams have put in a number of tough challenges on each other. There's the first booking of the match though. It goes to Mercado.

YELLOW CARD: Gabriel Mercado (Sevilla)

Barcelona can be rather weak when defending set pieces and Sevilla are looking to expose that. Although they don't make the most of this corner kick and Barcelona survive.

Sevilla are doing a good job of getting in behind the Barcelona defence on both wings. Enrique will surely make tweaks at the break to help combat that threat from the home side.

That was a sore one for Iniesta. The attacking midfielder was clattered by Mariano, although the Sevilla full-back won the ball cleanly. Nonetheless, there was a clash of knees.

Indeed, there's the change for Barcelona, with Mathieu hobbling off after picking up a hamstring strain. On in his place comes Digne for his debut since joining from PSG this summer.

Barcelona sub: Jeremy Mathieu OFF, Lucas Digne ON.

INJURY FOR BARCA! This could be a problem for the away team. Mathieu has just dropped to the ground and now appears to be holding his hamstring. He will be coming off.

After a difficult 10 minutes or so Barcelona are now starting to take a grip of the contest. Busquets has taken it upon himself to spray the passes around the centre of the pitch.

It's somewhat surprising that Turan has struggled so badly to make an impression at Barcelona, but there are reports that his fitness and commitment aren't really up to much.

Interesting that Turan is starting once again for Barcelona this evening. By all accounts he is on the transfer list at Camp Nou. They want to get rid of him this summer.

Sevilla have started this match well but Sampaoli will be concerned that for all that they have impressed they have yet to create anything of any note in the final third of the pitch.

Having said that, reports this weekend speculate that Bravo could actually be on his way to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. He is on the look out for a new keeper, after all.

Bravo has had to make a number of challenging gathers in the last 10 minutes or so. The Chilean goalkeeper is expected to be the first choice at Barcelona again this season.

Sevilla are unsettling Barcelona here and the home crowd inside the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan are picking up on that! The home side are on top of the Catalans at every possible chance.

That's something that you don't see from many teams in the Spanish Liga. Sevilla are looking to launch long throws into the Barcelona penalty area. Could cause problems!

Sevilla have started this match well. They aren't afraid to go toe-to-toe with Barcelona. They are right on top of the Catalans whenever they get the ball. Impressive from them, so far.

The biggest chance at Barcelona has been in the right-back position. Dani Alves left to join Juventus, which means Aleix Vidal or Sergi Roberto are now the first choice there.

Of course, Messi has Suarez alongside him to pick up the slack. The former Liverpool striker was Barcelona's top goalscorer last season. Can he repeat the feat this season?

Messi hasn't made much of an impression in these opening 10 minutes, although it is still early for the Argentine. He sometimes takes time to reach top form season on season.

Of course, Barcelona started last season slowly. There were real questions against them as they lost to Athletic Bilbao in the Super Copa. They'll be looking to avoid that this season.

Barcelona have endured a difficult pre-season at times. They lost to Liverpool 4-0 in a friendly just a couple weeks ago. They must raise their game quickly to get up to speed.

BIG CHANCE FOR SUAREZ! The Barcelona strikers latches on to a mistake by a Sevilla defender and fires off a low shot at goal. However, Rico gets down well to make the stop.

Although Sampaoli almost didn't take the job at Sevilla. He was lined up by the Spanish club, then had his head turned by the vacancy at Argentina. In the end, he took charge at Sevilla.

There has been a change of manager at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan over the summer. Unai Emery has left to go take over at PSG, with Jorge Sampaoli taking his place. Good appointment.

Sevilla were seconds away from winning the European Super Cup on Tuesday night. They eventually lost out to Real Madrid, but they showed signs of how good they can be.

Both managers have picked the strongest line-ups available. Enrique has gone with the front two of Messi and Suarez, with Neymar still at the Olympics with the Brazilian team.

So here we go. The competitive season kicks off in Spain. Both these sides will be looking to start their campaigns with some silverware. Of course, this is just the first leg.

The match is under way! It's Sevilla against Barcelona in the first leg of the Super Copa!
