Rangers right-back James Tavernier knows they cannot take anything but their A game to Hamilton.
The Light Blues were made to pay for a series of missed chances when clinical Accies secured their first win at Ibrox in 30 years in November.
Martin Canning’s side are battling to get out of the Ladbrokes Premiership bottom two and Tavernier is well aware they will battle for everything in Sunday’s clash at the SuperSeal Stadium.
Tavernier said: “Getting beat was disappointing, especially at home and the manner we got beat.
“We have looked at it and we know what we have to do. We have to take a high-level performance into the game to beat them. We can’t have an off day and expect to win.
“They are going to work extremely hard against us and be organised. We have to go and really apply our game plan and hope get the benefits of that.”
Rangers won 4-1 at Hamilton in September but Accies were guilty of squandering a number of chances that night, especially after visiting midfielder Ryan Jack received one of his four red cards this season.
And Tavernier appreciates that the SuperSeal surface presents unique challenges.
Tavernier said: “It’s obviously an artificial pitch. You would like to see grass pitches throughout the league.
“It can be difficult sometimes, the last time I was there I slipped a few times but it’s something you have just got to overcome.
“We have to overcome the elements like we did at Ayr with the pitch there. We just have to play football and play our game. You just have to play your normal game.
“You will always take the pitch into account in the back of your head but you can’t let it dictate what you do.”
