City boss Pep Guardiola named a strong team with the starting eleven featuring the likes of Ederson, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling.
It was De Bruyne who provided the first moment of precision as he carved open the Rotherham defence to allow Sterling to score.

In the second-half Gabriel Jesus, Mahrez, Nicolas Otamendi and substitute Leroy Sane completed the rout, with Ilkay Gundogan registering four assists.
