IT'S ALL OVER! Manchester City are through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, coming from two goals down to win 3-2 in controversial fashion.

The use of VAR has been hugely controversial in recent weeks, making headlines most notably in Manchester United's Champions League victory over PSG, but it was the absence of the technology tonight that has cost Swansea dear in the FA Cup.

90'

FOUR minutes will be added on - is there time for another late twist in this tie?

89'

Swansea have every right to feel aggrieved. A debatable penalty and now an offside goal appears to have won the game for City.

  • Sergio Agüero

Aguero is the hero as City complete a remarkable second-half comeback! Bernardo Silva curls in a beautiful cross and Aguero finishes with a stooping header. But is he offside? Goal stands, as there is no VAR here to check.

87'

JUST WIDE! Swansea scramble the corner away from trouble. Walker then tries to find the corner with a low drive from 25 yards, but it drifts just a yard wide.

86'

Pep is hugely animated on the touchline as City force another corner. Is this the moment they complete their comeback?

85'

Asoro with the chance to win the game for Swansea... but he shoots wide from 10 yards.

83'

HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN?!

Astonishing! Jesus' header cannons off the post! And then Aguero can't scramble the follow-up in from just three yards out as Nordfeldt makes an incredible save!

80'

Brilliant defending from Carter-Vickers as he throws himself in front of a goal-bound shot! City's pressure is relentless now. Remember, there has to be a winner tonight. The game will go to extra-time if it's level after 90 minutes.

PENALTY TO MAN CITY! Sterling goes down inside the box after Carter-Vickers' challenge and the referee Andre Marriner points to the spot. Swansea rage. It looked soft but the decision has been made... Remember, no VAR in operation.

75'

Oh my, you don't see that often! Walker crosses for Aguero who would have a great chance if he can get the ball under control, but he takes a heavy touch and the opportunity is gone.

OVER! A nice ball from Zinchenko picks out Sterling on the edge of the box... but he leans back and scoops his shot over the bar.

71'

City, playing with a spring in their step now, spread the ball wide to Bernardo Silva. He stands up a cross to the back post but the impressive Van der Hoorn rises highest to head clear.

70'

Fulton took the ball flush in the face in the build-up to City's goal and he comes back onto the pitch after some treatment. This is a real test of Swansea's spirit now. They have 20 minutes to hang on.

A misplaced pass from the visitors hands Swansea back possession. City still aren't moving the ball quickly enough. It has been a bad day at the office. Is the pressure finally getting to them?

65'

SWANSEA CHANCE! James' blistering pace has caused City problems tonight. He races forward and goes down inside the Swansea penalty area... the referee is unmoved and play continues... and Ederson is off his line quickly before Routledge can pounce on the loose ball.

GOOD PLAY BY EDERSON! A ball over the top for James almost catches the visiting defence out cold. The Man City goalkeeper takes a risk by racing off his line, he needs to get there and he does.

Pep has had enough, he is preparing a change...

54'

Swansea are sitting deep and inviting pressure, though. Home come City... there's at least three blocks inside the home side's penalty area before they manage to scramble it clear.

53'

City are too pedestrian-link in possession at the moment. There's no real sense of urgency.

-

Swansea's second was, dare I say it, Man City-esque...

51'

With blistering pace and spurred on by the raucous home supporters, James drives at the City defence. Laporte, on a yellow card, makes an inch-perfect tackle to prevent Swansea's counter.

50'

Sane tries to create an opening for a shot on the left side of the penalty area but cuts it back into a packed penalty area and Swansea clear.

49'

Celina is having the game of his life against his former employers. Racing forward with pace and intent, the midfielder has a crack from 30 yards, but the shot is always rising.

48'

Swansea haven't made the FA Cup since 1955. This would be a huge day in the history of the club IF they can hold on to their lead.

47'

CITY CHANCE! Swansea continue to ride their luck. Walker rolls in a dangerous cross, the Swansea clearance hits Jesus and ricochets out for a goal-kick.

There's the half-time whistle and it's the outstanding Swansea 2-0 Man City. Pep Guardiola's side have a LOT of work to do to keep their ambitious quadruple dream alive...

45'

There will be two minutes added on at the end of a dramatic first-half.

42'

Grimes bends in a free-kick from the right and it's just over the head of Carter-Vickers at the back post. Is there one last chance for either side before the half-time whistle?

40'

The noise levels at the Liberty Stadium is deafening. Are the Championship side capable of holding on to this two-goal lead?

38'

Apologies, I've recovered from some technical trouble there. Anyway, back to the football and what is going at the Liberty Stadium? City almost responded immediately through David Silva's effort from six yards out but Roberts cleared off the line. Something freakish is developing here...

24'

Grimes passes straight to a City player, putting his side into huge trouble. The ball is worked to Mahrez who cuts it back across the face of goal but slightly behind Sane. Swansea get away with one.

22'

Swansea won't be getting ahead of themselves, however - City have only failed to score in three games this season.

21'

Who could have predicted this? There's a long way to go but that goal will have given Swansea an incredible boost of confidence - and something to hold on for. City unsettled.

19'

PENALTY TO SWANSEA! Roberts is fouled by Delph inside the box! A naive tackle from the England international and City can have no complaints.

18'

Swansea are showing little signs of promise. Celina and Routledge play a nice little one-two on the edge of the City penalty box before the latter leaves the ball behind.

17'

Jesus tries a difficult reverse pass to Sane to his left but Swansea's defence intercepts.

-
15'

Now, is Sane going to be able to continue here? He is limping and Raheem Sterling is warming up on the touchline.

14'

SAVE! Sane is struggling with a hip problem but he centres it for Bernardo Silva whose volley is straight down the middle for Nordfeldt to save.

12'

Brilliant defensive work from the talented winger James, there. Mahrez releases Walker on the overlap but back races James to get in front of the full-back, shield the ball and allow Nordfeldt to gather.

10'

Swansea on the front-foot here. The ball is spread wide to James who skips past Walker and centres it for Celina. He tries to squeeze his way into a packed penalty area rather than take on the shot but loses out.

7'

Mahrez is left unmarked at the back post to meet David Silva's cross. The Algerian teases one back in, it takes a nick off James and goes behind but the referee didn't spot the deflection and gives Swansea a goal-kick.

5'

CITY CHANCE! Brilliant football from Sane. With a drop of the shoulder, he leaves his marker for dead to create an angle for a shot. Nordfeldt makes the save but pushes it into the path of Mahrez whose header from 10 yards out is wide.

3'

City are knocking the ball around with some confidence, as expected, and now Bernardo Silva releases Walker on the right. His cross is deflected behind for their second corner of the match.

2'

After barely 30 seconds on the clock, City force their first corner. There is a handball as the set-piece is delivered, however, and Swansea win a free-kick inside their own box.

KICK-OFF!

Manchester City, in their slightly unusual away kit, get the ball rolling on a cold, miserable evening in south Wales.

17:18

John Hartson's head has won over his Swansea heart and the BT Sport pundit is predicting a 3-0 victory for City - what is your prediction?

17:15

FIVE MINUTE WARNING

A reminder of the line-ups as we approach the big kick-off...

Swansea: Nordfeldt, Roberts, Van der Hoorn, Carter-Vickers, Grimes, Fulton, Celina, Byers, Dyer, James, Routledge.

Man City: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Delph, Gundogan, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Sane, Mahrez, Jesus.

17:11

Guardiola has been giving his pre-match thoughts...

"Swansea have experience of playing in the Premier League. They play really good, it's a cup game, away, anything can happen."

17:10

Potter has been speaking to BT Sport...

"It's a great challenge. We hope we can have a bit of magic and pull a miracle off. We are playing the best team you can play. We will try. This is a wonderful opportunity. It's a game we should enjoy, but no one is expecting us to win."

17:00

CITY'S KEY MAN

Gabriel Jesus has been involved in 10 goals in six domestic cup starts this season (seven goals, three assists).

Gabriel Jesus of Manchester City celebrates after scoring his team's first goal during the Premier League match between Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Etihad Stadium on January 14, 2019
16:55

Swansea were thrashed 5-0 and 4-0 by City in the Premier League last season but manager Graham Potter believes his side can pull off a shock this afternoon.

"We face a huge challenge, a brilliant challenge for the players because you get to test yourself against the best, and we have to try," he said.

"That's how it is, it is a one-off game. Over a two-legged tie or more than that, you've got no chance pretty much, because the quality is so high.

"But in a one-off match anything can happen and we will try to manufacture something from that."

Graham Potter has made a name for himself
16:50

Guardiola has taken the FA Cup seriously this season and it's no surprise that he has named another strong line-up containing both David and Bernardo Silva, Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus. The only surprise is the inclusion of Fabian Delph.

16:45

ONE CHANGE FOR SWANSEA

Jay Fulton replaces the injured Kyle Naughton, as The Swans target to extend their seven-game unbeaten home run.

Bersant Celina, the man who slipped while taking a penalty in midweek, starts against his former club.

16:40
