Raheem Sterling thought he had hit an FA Cup hat-trick on Saturday at Wembley in the 6-1 rout of Watford.

However, match officials would retrospectively give City's second goal to his team-mate Gabriel Jesus.

The news was communicated to Sterling via social media and the England man’s reaction was priceless.

The reference being that Sterling had - after he was incorrectly told he had been credited with three goals - celebrated the fact on social media.

Anyway, the tweet from Sterling received plenty of plaudits from other users on the platform.
