FT Hull City 1-2 Chelsea - The Premier League side are through after a nervy-jangling finish that saw Hull throw everything forward for a winner, but it proved elusive in the end. Chelsea do just enough to squeak through.

Chelsea sub: Lamptey on, Pedro off.

Grosicki goes through on goal, but closes the angle by going further to the left and ends up slicing his shot wide. Hull won't get too many more chances like that to force a replay.

Alonso has a go with a sweetly hit shot that flicks off a Hull leg for a Chelsea corner, a corner Hull get clear.

Gilmour has a go from distance and it's a decent effort, but Long has been good today and deals with it.

GOAL! Hull 1-2 Chelsea - Grosicki scores! The comeback is on as substitute Grosicki thumps a free-kick at goal and the ball takes a massive deflection off Kovacic and wrongfoots Caballero. Game on.

Lovely move by Chelsea almost results in a third, but Pedro's shot ends up the wrong side of the side netting. Chelsea's fans thought that was in, much to the amusement of the home supporters.

Double chance for Tomori from a Chelsea corner that Hull fail to clear properly, but both of Tomori's shots are blocked with some desperate defending.

Batshuayi has a hopeful go from distance, but it was so wide it's barely worth talking about.

Willian immediately involved with a clever reverse pass that finds Pedro, who bursts into the box but drags his shot just wide of the far post.

Double Hull change: Samuelsen & Magennis on, Honeyman & Eaves off.

Billy Gilmour is on for his FA Cup debut.

Double Chelsea change: Willian & Gilmour on, Mount & Hudson-Odoi off

The goal has really taken the wind out of Hull's sails at a time when they were looking threatening. But that's football, and now Chelsea looking likely to grab at least one more.

Tomori haunts the club he played for on loan a couple of seasons ago.

GOAL! Hull 0-2 Chelsea - Tomori makes it two! Hull are undone by the simplest of goals. Barkley whips a free-kick towards the back post and Tomori motors in at the far post to nod past Long.

Lichaj goes into the book for a cynical chop on Mount. That wasn't nice.

Hull sub: Grosicki on, Wilks off.

Bowen chance! Almost the equalizer as Bowen receives the ball in midfield and drives forward and fires narrowly over the top. The closest Hull have come so far and the chance falls to their most dangerous player.

Hull are a team transformed since the break. They're pressuring Chelsea in midfield and seeing plenty of the ball in midfield now.

STAT: Chelsea have not lost any of the last 27 games that they've led at half-time (W21, D6). That record stretches back to December 2018 when they lost 2-1 to Wolves.

Hull have started the second half like they started first. It's as if they've been told that they're lucky not to have been put to bed by Chelsea already.

Bowen the danger man again for Hull as his cross is turned out by Zouma for a corner.

Kane bends the resulting free-kick over the Chelsea wall but it drifts wide of the post, and Caballero was never really troubled by that.

Kovacic picks up a yellow for a late and cynical chop on Bowen, who was driving forward from midfield for Hull.

SECOND HALF. We're back under way.

HT - Hull City 0-1 Chelsea: Batshuayi's sixth minute strike gives an utterly dominant Chelsea a slender lead at the break. Chelsea a cut above but wasteful, and Hull are lucky to still be in this.

Another half chance for Hull, who are ending the half on a high. The ball breaks to Eaves in the box but he fails to get hold of the ball, and it trickles harmlessly wide.

A rare foray forward for Hull as Bowen goes for glory with a quite ridiculous shot from miles out that is charged down. But Hull keep the move alive and Bowen gets another chance which is a better one, but he can't keep the shot on target.

Kovacic, having been in cruise control so far, has suddenly started misplacing passes and booting the ball out of play.

This is one way traffic, Hull can barely get a look-in. But crucially it remains only 1-0 and Hull are aching for half time. Chelsea just not ruthless enough, a theme of their season.

Azpilicueta is proving one of Chelsea's key attackers, given his lack of defensive work. This time he gets into a fine position on the right and drills in a low cross, but it's stabbed out for a Chelsea corner.

Hudson-Odoi is very difficult to stop when he's in full flow, and he skips past the tormented Lichaj again and rolls a low cross into the box, but no Chelsea player can make a decent contact.

Mount chance! It's another big chance for Chelsea to double their lead, but that man Long keeps Hull in it. Mount goes through and picks out the bottom corner, but Long makes a vital stop from point blank range.

Chance for Barkley, who gets a shot away but in the end he drags it quite far wide.

Mount is starting to exert his influence out there. Seeing plenty of the ball and at the heart of everything that Chelsea are creating.

Mount drives forward and, in the absence of any kind of Hull challenge, has a go from the edge of the box - but Burke makes a timely block.

Mount whips in a free-kick after some frankly abysmal defending by Lichaj, but Hull get it clear. It's been 18 minutes of backs to the wall for Hull.

Barkley chance! Huge chance for Chelsea as Mount sends Barkley clean through, but Barkley's finish is unconvincing, as Long comes out to make a key stop. Good save, but bigger miss.

Another sighter for Batshuayi, who hammers a shot at goal and gets a corner after Burke made sure the shot stayed off target - Hull get the corner out.

Chelsea dictating things in Hull, who are struggling to lay a glove on their opponents.

Chance for Hull as Caballero flaps at Wilks' cross from the left. It falls to Eaves, but the ball gets stuck under his feet and Chelsea get it clear.

Crucial moments for Hull, here. They can't afford to concede another one - Chelsea full of confidence.

Almost an opening for Hudson-Odoi at the far post, but Pedro's cross is flicked away at the last moment.

Well, that came out of absolutely nothing.

GOAL! Hull 0-1 Chelsea - Batshuayi scores! One chance, one goal for Chelsea. Azpilicueta's cross towards Hudson-Odoi is overhit but finds Mount, whose shot is blocked, but Batshuayi follows up and forces the ball in via a deflection.

Chelsea yet to really get into the game. Eight changes will do that.

Hull striker, Eaves, is proving a handful in the early stages. He wins a corner off Zouma, but an infringement gives Chelsea some respite.

It's a big night for Caballero to impress given Kepa's patchy form of late.

It's a full house at the KCOM tonight. It's the first time they've filled it in six years, I'm reliably informed. Hull have started well and win a corner, but Bowen's shot fails to trouble Caballero in the Chelsea goal.

KICK OFF. We're underway!

Chelsea coach Frank Lampard: “We need to get ourselves right, our mindset, how we approach the game. Giant killing, I understand that, I know the Championship very well. We must get it right."

Hull manager Grant McCann: “It’s going to be a tough challenge, but a good opportunity to test ourselves. Our boys are looking forward to the game, the stadium is full, and we’re going to try to entertain.”

Frank Lampard makes a whopping eight changes from the side that were held to a 2-2 draw by Arsenal in midweek. Willy Caballero, Kurt Zouma, Fikayo Tomori, Marcos Alonso, Ross Barkley, Mason Mount, Pedro and Michy Batshuayi all come in. Some key players including Kante and Jorginho haven't even travelled, while striker Tammy Abraham sits thi one out through injury.

Hull City make four changes from the side that lost 1-0 to Derby last time out, with Tom Eaves, Robbie McKenzie, George Honeyman and Mallik Wilks all coming in.

HULL CITY: Long, McKenzie, Burke, Tafazolli, Lichaj, Da Silva, Kane, Honeyman, Bowen, Wilks, Eaves. Subs: Grosicki, Ingram, McLoughlin, Kingsley, Magennis, Irvine, Samuelsen.

CHELSEA: Caballero, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Tomori, Alonso, Barkley, Kovacic, Mount, Pedro, Batshuayi, Hudson-Odoi. Subs: Christensen, Willian, Cumming, Emerson, Gilmour, Lamptey, Maatsen.

Hello everyone! Can Hull City spring a surprise against Premier League opposition in the FA Cup? Chelsea are in town, and the team news is on the way...
