FT: CHELSEA ARE IN THE FINAL AGAIN! City's quadruple dream is over, as Chelsea reach the FA Cup final for the fourth time in five seasons. City never really got going, and one Hakim Ziyech finish was all it took. Thanks for joining us. Goodbye.

SAVE! Rodri with the header at the back post, but Kepa is down to palm the ball away. Easy save really.

NO GOAL! Pulisic does brilliantly to take the ball past Mendy before firing home, but the flag is up. Correct decision.

Laporte goes into the book for leaving his foot in on Azpilicueta. Time running out for City.

Zouma does eventually replace Thiago Silva.

Change for Chelsea, and it is Thiago Silva, who will depart. When he does eventually go off...

OFFSIDE! Jesus drifts just offside as he lays it off for Sterling,. The finish from Sterling was dreadful.

Rodri with a shot from distance, that Kepa can get everything behind.

NO PENALTY! Azpilicueta tries to head clear and there are claims this brushes his arm. There's a brief check as Mike Dean consults VAR but no penalty is awarded.

Double change for Chelsea, with Kai Havertz and Emerson replacing Werner and Ziyech.

On the break, Werner races down the field with the ball, takes it round Mendy, but he stab for goal is poor and easy for Steffen to gather.

He has been terrible today.

Foden dances past several Chelsea players before being fouled. Free-kick to City in a dangerous position.

Can Chelsea see this out and book yet another cup final appearance?

Foden has given City much more of a threat here. City are coming, and coming.

Change for Chelsea, and it is Christian Pulisic on for Mount.

Not bad for a supposed struggling striker.

CHANCE! Rodri heads the cross back into the middle, but Dias cannot get over the header.

Fernandinho has been booked presumably for a late tackle. Chelsea feel he ought to have seen yellow much sooner.

They are not as invincible after all?

That City defence needs more from the likes of Sterling and Torres as the ball keeps coming back towards Steffen's goal. Rodri's first-time cross towards Sterling is met by Rudiger, who has stayed down...

CHANCE! Should really be two. Long ball from Chilwell sails over the City backline, Ziyech is on to it, prods for goal, but Steffen, again way of his line, makes the block.

City look a little jaded here despite the changes. Plenty of substitutes have been sent out to warm up.

A simple goal really. Werner's pace takes his away from the last defender down the left, he feeds the ball across for Ziyech, and with Steffen in no man's land, the Moroccan can slide the ball into the empty net.

  • Hakim Ziyech

Sterling with the clipped cross to the back post, Jesus heads it across, but James makes the block.

De Bruyne limps off, and is replaced by Phil Foden.

Looks like City are going to be forced into a change, and it is a worrying one, with De Bruyne down injured.

KICK OFF! We are back up and running. No changes for either side.

Perfect for knockout football.

  • End of 1st Half

HT: Chelsea 0-0 Man City. Not the greatest spectacle so far, with defences very much on top. City look like a side who have made eight changes, while Chelsea have posed more of a threat.

WIDE! Cross from Sterling is just too high for Fernandinho, who can only glance a header well wide. One minute of added time at the end of the first half.

Ferran Torres waits for De Bruyne to overlap, but the Belgian's cross is blocked.

Ah yes

Thiago Silva just about deals with a De Bruyne cross. City stepping it up at the end of the first half.

City pressing a little higher up the pitch now, and keeping Chelsea at bay.

City just have not been at the races here.

How does he do it?

First yellow card of the game is for a foul ON Fernandinho. James the guilty party.

WIDE! James has a pop from distance, but that is always heading wide.

Super block from Aymeric Laporte to cut out the low cross from Werner.

Still very tense here. Chilwell's volley the only chance we have had in the opening half hour.

Fernandinho is beaten once more by Mason Mount but City get numbers back to head clear. Mike Dean for the break in play and then goes back to have a final word with the veteran midfielder. Next time, and that'll be a yellow.

Chelsea look so dangerous on the attack. Just trying to pick their way through this City backline.

Nice, calm play from Steffen to keep possession for City under pressure.

Swift counter again from Chelsea, but Chilwell's cross is deflected away from danger.

CHANCE: Best opportunity of the match so far. Reece James clips a cross to the back post, Joao Cancelo misses it, Ben Chilwell arrives, but slices his volley wide. He had more time that he realised Could have brought it down.

Chelsea are so solid whenever not in possession.

Sterling has options, with Jesus to his left but the ball seeking the Brazilian is poorly undercooked. A wasted opportunity.

City really growing into this now, with Kevin De Bruyne getting more and more involved.

First shot on goal of the match and it is from Gabriel Jesus, straight at Kepa.

Thiago Silva has a little knock, holding his back. Classic old man injury.

Great start from Chelsea, they are doing all the pressing.

NO GOAL! Timo Werner thinks he has broken the offside trap, feeds it across for Hakim Ziyech, who rifles home, but the flag is up, correctly.

Now City on the ball. A very calm opening here.

Thiago Silva, back after suspension, is on the ball here early.

  • 1st Half

KICK OFF! In an eerily empty Wembley stadium, we are up and running. Leicester or Southampton lie in wait.

So here we go. Chelsea are looking to reach the FA Cup final for the fourth time in the last five seasons, failing only in 2018-19 in this run. Thomas Tuchel would be the first ever German manager to reach the English FA Cup final. We are minutes away here in the capital.

BOSS v BOSS: Man City boss Pep Guardiola is unbeaten in all five of his managerial meetings with Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel (W3 D2), with all of these coming between 2013 and 2016 when the Spaniard was in charge of Bayern Munich.

Glorious day for it.

A man with a plan.

Video - Tuchel hopes Chelsea can make Man City 'suffer' in FA Cup semi-final

Manchester City have won nine of their last 11 FA Cup semi-final matches, though they have been eliminated at this stage in two of their four previous campaigns under Pep Guardiola (vs Arsenal in both 2017 and 2020). Something that will obviously upset Mr Perfection himself.

THE BLUES HAVE FORM: Chelsea are looking to reach the FA Cup final for a 15th time, with only Arsenal (21) and Manchester United (20) reaching it more often than the Blues. Chelsea have won seven of their last eight semi-final ties, losing only against Man City in 2013 in this run.

Is this suggesting Jorginho is some kind of Roy of the Rovers figure?

HEAD TO HEAD: Chelsea have lost four of their last five FA Cup ties against Manchester City, including a 2-1 loss at this stage in 2013. However, they did win their most recent such encounter 5-1 in February 2016. City have won six of their last nine meetings with Chelsea in all competitions (D1 L2), beating the Blues 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League already this season. City have lost none of their three meetings with Chelsea at the new Wembley Stadium, beating them 2-1 in the 2013 FA Cup semi-final, 2-0 in the 2018 Community Shield, and on penalties in the 2019 League Cup final.

KEPA IN GOAL, PEP CHANGES EIGHT: Both understudy goalkeepers get a run out this evening with Kepa Arrizabalaga keeping his place in goal during FA Cup games for the Blues, while City have American Zack Steffen between the sticks. Three changes in all for Chelsea, with Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech also coming in. Tammy Abraham is not even on bench. Pep Guardiola has shuffled his pack, and some, once again, but it is by no means a weak City side. Raheem Sterling gets a start, with Gabriel Jesus up front. Kevin De Bruyne keeps his place but Phil Foden in part of a star-studded City bench.

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the first FA Cup semi-final clash between Chelsea and Manchester City at Wembley. So the quadruple is still on, but if anyone can stop Pep Guardiola in his tracks, it is the young upstart Thomas Tuchel. Bar the absurdity of the 5-2 defeat to West Brom, Chelsea have been near perfect under the German, but today will be an altogether more imposing test, as the City juggernaut is in town.
