FT: Leicester 1-0 Southampton. That's it! Leicester are into a first final since 1969, and will meet Chelsea in May's showpiece. In-form Iheanacho the hero on the day, with Saints very disappointing throughout. Thanks for joining us. Goodbye.
Late booking for Bednarek for a foul on Vardy. Saints look done here.
Four added minutes here.
Leicester are camping men behind the ball and happy to keep it that way, although keeping Vardy and Iheanacho are generally staying near the half-way line to stretch Southampton on the break.
Saints running out of steam here. Leicester look like they might hold on.
Nathan Tella is on for Walker-Peters, and Mohamed Salisu on for Bertrand too. Three at the back for Southampton now.
WIDE! Maddison again with the strike from distance, but that is always heading wide.
OVER! Great play from Iheanacho to delay the pass, waits for Maddison to make the run, picks him out, but the substitute fires over from a good position.
Albrighton delivers from the left, but the huge frame of Vestergaard gets to it first to clear.
Saints just need to go all out here. They have nothing to lose.
Another change for Southampton as Fofana gets back on his feet after a minor collision. Djenepo makes way for Theo Walcott.
Maddison lines up a free kick but gets it all wong.
- OffAyoze PérezLeicester City
- OnJames MaddisonLeicester City
Here is bad boy James Maddison, he replaces Perez.
Can Leicester hold on here? They have defended doggedly so far. Jonny Evans especially is starring.
Much, much better in this second half. Saints having a real go now.
WIDE! Much better from Saints. Great strike from Diallo, after Armstrong had clipped the ball back in, but it flies just over.
Adams immiediately in the thick of it, cuts onto his right foot, but his shot is blocked, before Diallo lofts an strike well over.
What a season he is having.
- OffRicardo PereiraLeicester City
- OnMarc AlbrightonLeicester City
Change for Leicester now, with Marc Albrighton on for Ricardo.
- OffNathan RedmondSouthampton
- OnChé AdamsSouthampton
Change for Saints, with Che Adams on for Redmond.
Wonderful play from Vardy to race down the left before crossing for Iheanacho, whose first effort is poor and heading wide, but he gets lucky, the ball rebounds back to him, and he makes no mistake. Ten goals in seven for Iheanacho now.
- GoalKelechi IheanachoLeicester City
GGGGGOOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!!! Leicester 1-0 Southampton. That man Iheanacho again!
Saints look for Ings with a quick ball through the middle but the striker is fractionally offside
Leicester on top at the start of the half. They look more settled in possession.
Caglar Soyuncu flies into a tackle on Walker-Peters, leaving his mark. Yellow card.
Not the best timing!
Bit more intensity from Southampton upon the restart as Perez isn't given space to roam forward. Djenepo forces Evans to concede the throw.
- 2nd Half
KICK OFF! We are back under way here at Wembley. No change for either side.
- End of 1st Half
HT: Leicester 0-0 Southampton. Not great, with Vardy going closest to an opener.
One minute of added time.
CLOSE! Evans drifts in around the back, heads across goal, Vardy is on the end of it, but cannot guide the close-range header on target.
I mean, maybe a European Super League isn't too bad an idea...
Players are not only missing the goal target here. So many errant passes.
There have been many mistakes in this contest with so much at stake with the one real chance so far falling to Vardy. We still await our first shot on target.
Looks rather dystopian to me.
Leicester have upped their game in the last few minutes. Saints on the back foot.
Diallo is getting pulled from pillar to post.
Stuart Armstrong drifts inside and looks dangerous, but his cross is blocked.
OVER! Best chance of the match. Great threaded pass from Tielemans, Vardy is in, he tries to dink it over the onrushing Fraser Forster, but lifts it over. The drought goes on...
Southampton look to get moving forward with Ward-Prowse and Redmond bringing Ings onto the ball as he drives at the Leicester defence and goes to ground under a challenge from Ndidi. He's looking for it, no foul.
Vardy again looking to drive at the Saints rearguard, but he cannot get the shot away.
Best move yet. Lovely one twos through the pitch, Perez clips it to the far post, but Iheanacho cannot get there.
Vardy and Iheanacho combine before the former shoots towards goal but the deflection off Vestergaard allows Forster to prevent the corner. Better from Leicester.
Djenepo takes the attack to Leicester, but Jonny Evans makes the tackle.
Nathan Redmond's deep ball seeking Ings is headed out by Wesley Fofana. Saints pressing a little more here.
Just like yesterday's semi-final, neither side are willing to take many risks.
Vardy has shaken off that early knock. England head coach Gareth Southgate is in the stands, and with Harry Kane suffering an injury on Friday, he may well have an eye on Ings.
Leicester finally looking a little more comfortable. Timothy Castagne whips a low cross in but it is cleared.
Straight down the other end, Danny Ings latches onto a long ball over the top, but Kasper Schmeichel comes out to clear well.
Youri Tielemans looks to thread it through for Iheanacho, but the in-form hitman cannot control.
Saints seeing plenty of the ball early on here. Leicester cannot settle.
Cagey opening here, with neither side looking too dangerous in attack.
- Yellow cardIbrahima DialloSouthampton
Early yellow card here for Ibrahima Diallo for a nasty-looking challenge on Vardy.
Jan Vestergaard goes long aiming for Danny Ings but Jonny Evans scampers across to thwart the danger at the expense of a throw.
- 1st Half
KICK OFF! We are up and running the Wembley sunshine.
So here we go. Leicester have lost all three of their matches at the new Wembley Stadium, with their last victory at Wembley coming in the 2000 League Cup final against Tranmere (2-1). For Saints, they have lost each of their last four games at Wembley Stadium, including an FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea in 2018.
Looks so strange in such a vast stadium.
This could end up being a very dark day for football as we know it.
A recap of yesterday's action.
Er what? Southampton are yet to concede a goal in this season’s FA Cup – they could become the first team to reach the final of the competition without conceding since Everton did so in 1965-66.
It was not what Brendon Rodgers needed ahead of such a big game.
HEAD YO HEAD: Southampton have won their last two FA Cup meetings with Leicester, beating them 1-0 in January 2006 and 2-0 in January 2008. Leicester beat Southampton 2-0 in the Premier League earlier this season – they’ve not beaten the Saints twice in the same season since the 2011-12 Championship campaign.
MADDISON ON BENCH, DJENEPO IN: Following his breach of Covid-19 restrictions, James Maddison remains on the bench for Leicester, with a three-pronged attack of Jamie Vardy, Ayoze Perez and in-form Kelechi Iheanacho tasked with scoring the goals to send the Foxes to the final. Che Adams is only fit enough for a place on the bench for Saints, with Moussa Djenepo coming into the starting XI.
