‘This is basically an away game’ – reaction to Arsenal-Koln delayed tie

Arsenal’s Europa League opener against Koln was delayed for an hour “in the interests of supporter safety” after reports that some travelling fans were attempting to gain entry to the Arsenal end.

It was eventually decided that the best course of action was for the game to go ahead.

However, those in attendance at the game claimed that a number of Koln fans had managed to secure tickets for the home end and were in some parts outnumbering Arsenal fans.
