Juventus are ready to entertain a swap deal for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and their striker Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese forward is one of the best players in United's history and he could be moved on by the Old Lady as they look to change their tactics for the future.

Manchester United have been linked with a swap deal for midfielder Paul Pogba and Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has claimed that the Frenchman’s time at Old Trafford is ‘over’ and it has been suggested that players at the club as well as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are prepared to see him go as soon as January.
United already have Donny van de Beek and Bruno Fernandes as attacking midfield options so may not need a direct replacement for the 27-year-old World Cup winner.
The Independent’s Miguel Delaney has suggested that one solution would be for Pogba to return to Juventus in a swap deal with former United and Real Madrid striker Ronaldo.
The 35-year-old Portuguese international has another year to run after this season in Italy, and Juve are reportedly keen to get the player of their wage books and refresh the tactics used on the pitch.
Delaney explained : "Talking to people during the week because I've been doing something on the Paul Pogba situation, which is connected to Ronaldo, and the fact that Juventus might actually be interested in a swap.
"It's not impossible. Connected to all that was the view that ultimately, Juventus are trying to install this collective idea of football.
"They tried it with [Maurizio] Sarri, now they're trying to do it with [Andrea] Pirlo, but that is almost impossible to do while Ronaldo is there, because the way he plays, he just doesn't really fit into that collective approach.

"Now, obviously that was not a problem at all when he was at his absolute maximum, but now it means, even more than ever, Juventus have to play a certain way.
"Then there's that kind of dilemma, where a manager will, in the long term, want to install a more collective system, but while they're doing that, it's such an easy solution.
"We'll get the ball to Cris, but the problem is, it becomes difficult to wean players off that."
Real Madrid have also been linked with Pogba, but club president Florentino Perez is said to be reluctant to deal with his controversial agent.
