We’re back for another day of transfer news and rumours as teams look to try and get as much business done. The club season is over and the transfer window is opening for business on June 9. With Euro 2020 just around the corner, Premier League clubs are already starting to make their moves and line up some new arrivals before the summer of international football begins.

22:30 - Goodnight

Eurosport will be back with more transfer updates and news in the morning. Thanks for reading today.

21:30 - Spurs linked with Fonseca

As Spurs struggle to land one of their most desired managerial targets, it seems that Paulo Fonseca - the man that deposed former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho replaced at Roma - is in talks to make the opposite switch.
It does rather suggest that Daniel Levy is struggling to recruit, as Fonseca is hardly in demand.

20:00 - Gunn's off

Norwich City are close to signing Angus Gunn, according to the Press Association.
The 25-year-old Southampton goalkeeper has spent a year on loan at Carrow Road - in 2017/18 - after moving onto Southampton from Manchester City.
A fee of £5.5 million, which could ultimately rise to £10 million, is the reported fee.

18:20 - PSG contact with Pogba?

It's not a no.
While hardly a serious exchange, Pogba to PSG would make sense. They get a Parisian talisman, and can afford his silly wage demands. United get rid, and can bring in someone who would like to be there.

17:40 - Locatelli plays down Juventus links

Sassuolo midfieder Manuel Locatelli has been called into the Italian squad for Euro 2020, and he has been linked with Juventus, but he has said any decision on his future will have to wait.
"It is just gossip. There is such an important competition to play and I am focused on that," he said.
It is normal to have rumours about the transfer market, but I will not let myself be influenced by them.
"It would be a waste of time to think about that, even though I know that after the Euros will have some decisions to make."

16:50 - Atleti reject United offer for Trippier

Atletico Madrid have rejected an opening offer from Manchester United for right back Kieran Trippier according to reports.
Football Insider claim United have made a formal bid of around £10m for the England international who is thought to be keen on a move to Old Trafford.

However, that offer has been rejected by the Spanish champions who want a bigger fee for one of their most important players.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly wants a more attack-minded option at right back and Trippier, who has just one year left on his Atleti contract, fits the bill.

16:20 - Roma chase Belotti

Roma are targeting a deal for Italian international striker Andrea Belotti as Jose Mourinho reshapes the squad at his new club this summer.
Goal claims the Stadio Olimpico outfit are ready to make a €30m bid for Belotti who has been at Torino since 2015.
Belotti, who is a proven goalscorer at Serie A level, has two years left on his current contract at Torino and so this could be the club's last chance to attract a big fee for their best player.

16:00 - Blues match PSG bid for Hakimi

We referenced reports earlier on today that Chelsea are interested in Achraf Hakimi. Well, now there are more solid reports about that interest.
According to The Athletic, Chelsea have matched Paris Saint-Germain's offer of £56.1m for the Moroccan full back who looks likely to leave Inter this summer.

Chelsea are reported to have a long-standing interest in Hakimi with his potential arrival at Stamford Bridge discussed by Tuchel and the club's scouting staff.
It's possible that Emerson Palmieri and Andreas Christensen could be included in a deal, but they aren't currently included in the proposal.

15:40 - Chelsea interest in Weigl

While Chelsea haven't yet made a signing, it's already been a busy summer for the Stamford Bridge club in terms of players being linked to them.
Portuguese newspaper O Jogo (via Sport Witness) has added another name into the mix alongside the likes of Erling Haaland and Achraf Hakimi - Julian Weigl.
Weigl worked with Thomas Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund and it's claimed Chelsea have made contact with Benfica to gauge the availability of the midfielder.
Benfica reportedly won't accept anything less than €30m for the player having paid €20m for him two years ago.

15:20 - Barca want Real Sociedad midfielder

Ronald Koeman wants Mikel Merino with the Barcelona manager reportedly a big fan of the way the Real Sociedad midfielder plays.
Spanish newspaper SPORT claims Barca are monitoring Merino and could be in the market for a new central midfielder after missing out on Georginio Wijnaldum.

Merino has a release clause of €60m in his Real Sociedad contract. Barcelona wouldn't be able to meet this, but could tempt La Real with a number of players in a swap deal.
The 24-year-old is a proven performer in La Liga and would have been included in Spain's squad for Euro 2020 had it not been for injury.

15:00 - United 'in contact' with Sancho

Can I interest you in some more Sancho to Manchester United chat? Of course I can.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the Old Trafford are "in contact" with Sancho's camp, but have yet to actually make an offer for the Borussia Dortmund winger.
Haven't we been here before? Why won't it stop being 2020?!

14:45 - Ilaix to reject United's interest

There is a lot of uncertainty around Ilaix Moriba's future at the moment, but the young midfielder will reportedly reject Manchester United's interest in him.
La Vanguardia reports the teenager wants to stay Barcelona despite his representatives playing hard ball with the Camp Nou club over a new contract.
Ilaix made his first team breakthrough for Barca last season and has impressed, with the La Liga club making moves to sign him to a new deal.

14:10 - Ramos to accept one-year deal

After months and months of haggling it now appears Sergio Ramos will accept a one-year extension to his Real Madrid contract.
The veteran defender had been hoping to bag a two-year contract, using interest from clubs like Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain as leverage.

According to Deportes Cuatro, though, Ramos has now backed down and is willing to accept a one-year contract to remain in the Spanish capital.
Real Madrid, though, have already planned for the departure of their captain. The drama!

13:55 - West Ham announce signing

Done deal klaxon - West Ham United have confirmed the signing of Pierre Ekwah from Chelsea.
The young French midfielder had been strongly linked with a switch to the London Stadium and that transfer has now been completed.
Ekwah never made a senior appearance for the Blues and has made the decision to make the move across London in the hope of finding first team opportunities at West Ham.

13:30 - CHO wants to stay at Chelsea

Yesterday, it emerged that Bayern Munich have renewed their interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi who has struggled for game time at Chelsea recently.
However, the Evening Standard reports Hudson-Odoi wants to stay at Stamford Bridge despite interest from the German champions.
The 20-year-old wants to force his way into Thomas Tuchel's first team plans rather than make the move to Bayern Munich or anywhere else.

13:10 - Koulibaly asking price too high

Kalidou Koulibaly has been linked with several Premier League clubs over the years, but with Napoli now willing to sell they are struggling to find suitors.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), this is down to the €50m asking price Napoli have slapped on the head of the central defender.

In the past, this would have been considered a bargain for a player of Koulibaly's quality, but he will be 30 later this month. He also endured a difficult 2020/21 season.
For the right price, Koulibaly would still be a shrewd addition for the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United. But they are right to baulk at Napoli's demands.

12:50 - Lage already targeting signings

He was only confirmed as Wolves' new manager earlier this morning, but Bruno Lage is already working on potential signings.
Fabrizio Romano claims the Wolves boss wants a new goalkeeper as the Molineux club prepares to sell Rui Patricio, who looks likely to join Roma.
Olympiacos number one Jose Sa is in talks with Wolves over a move to the Premier League. You'll never guess what nationality he is...
Francisco Trincao is also mentioned as a potential target, but Ronald Koeman has yet to make a decision on the forward's Barcelona future.

12:20 - Liverpool aim to raise £60m

Earlier today we covered news that Manchester City hope to raise transfer funds through player sales this summer and it appears Liverpool want to do similar.
The Athletic has details on how the Anfield club are prepared to sell a number of peripheral figures and youngsters in order to boost their transfer kitty this summer.

Liverpool's Marko Grujic

Marko Grujic is among those who could depart Liverpool, with Porto keen on the Serbian midfielder after a successful loan spell at the Portuguese club last season.
Liverpool believe they can command a fee of £15m for Grujic who has struggled to convince Jurgen Klopp that he warrants a place in his squad.

12:05 - ANNOUNCE SARRI!

Lazio have just teased their new managerial appointment in a unique way...
The club's official Twitter account has posted a cigarette emoji. Could that be in reference to a certain former Chelsea and Juventus manager, perhaps?
Indeed, Sarri has been reportedly on the brink of landing the Lazio job for over a week or so. It now appears official confirmation of that appointment is in the offing!

11:40 - City target offered to Barcelona

Nuno Mendes has reportedly been offered to Barcelona despite strong speculation linking the Sporting CP left back with Manchester City.
Mendes enjoyed an excellent 2020/21 season for Sporting CP as the club won the Portuguese title and will be a member of the country's squad for Euro 2020.
Mundo Deportivo claims Mendes has been offered to Barca via the 19-year-old's agents, but his asking price of €40m could prove to be an obstacle.
€40m for a player of Mendes' potential seems like a real bargain!

11:25 - Xhaka to Roma update

Granit Xhaka's name has appeared in this live blog a few times over the last few days and there is another update on his proposed move to Roma.
Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness) report Xhaka is already talking to Jose Mourinho about a switch to the Italian capital with an agreement with Arsenal believed to be close.

They claim the transfer fee will be €18m with easily achievable bonuses included as part of the deal. Some other reports state Arsenal are holding out for €25m for the midfielder.
At this point, it's probably best for Arsenal and Xhaka that they part ways. The funds will allow the Gunners to reinvest in their squad.

11:10 - Sabitzer wants summer transfer

Marcel Sabitzer has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs and it now seems the Austrian wants to leave RB Leipzig this summer.
The Athletic reports Sabitzer has made it known he would like a new challenge, with the 27-year-old into the final 12 months of his contract at RB Leipzig.
Tottenham Hotspur have been mentioned as potential suitors of Sabitzer in the past, but it remains to be seen if they would still be interested should Fabio Paratici arrive as their new Director of Football.
Sabitzer is an intelligent player who would improve almost every Premier League side. He would surely have no shortage of options.

10:55 - Man City's summer fire sale

Manchester City are expecting to raise at least £70m through the sale of fringe figures and squad players in this summer's transfer window.
That's according to the Daily Mail who claim the Premier League champions want a new centre forward and will fund a move by selling players deemed surplus to requirements.

This could include a number of youngsters and players who are out on loan (see Jack Harrison and Pedro Porro), but also the likes of Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez, both of whom have suitors.
Is this how City are planning on funding moves of Harry Kane and Jack Grealish - reported to be their top targets this summer?

10:35 - Lage to Wolves confirmed!

Some official news - Wolves have confirmed the appointment of Bruno Lage as their new manager following the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo.
Lage was most recently manager of Benfica, where he won the Portuguese league title in his first season in charge.
There's no denying Lage will be a bit of an unknown quantity in the Premier League, but he has a good record of bringing through young players. This was likely key to him landing the Wolves job.

10:20 - Coutinho to Marseille?

Philippe Coutinho has become a bit of a forgotten figure at Barcelona, but he could be set for a new challenge in Ligue 1 this summer.
Mundo Deportivo claims Jorge Sampaoli wants Coutinho at Marseille despite the clear obstacles to the French club signing the Brazilian playmaker.
The biggest obstacle is money, natually. Coutinho is on huge wages at Barcelona and so it remains to be seen how Marseille would possibly afford him.
However, Marseille have big ambitions and Sampaoli is driving a deal for the former Inter and Liverpool midfielder. One to keep an eye on...

10:05 - Nuno to Palace is OFF!

Some dramatic news from Crystal Palace where Nuno Espirito Santo had reportedly been on the verge of being appointed the club's new manager.
However, the Daily Mail now reports Palace have ended talks with the Portuguese coach and will now turn their attention to other candidates.

The Eagles reportedly had concerns over the demands made by the former Wolves manager who has also been linked with the Everton and Tottenham Hotspur jobs.
Steve Cooper and Sean Dyche are among those who will now be considered by Crystal Palace.

09:50 - Update on Hakimi's future

Achraf Hakimi has been linked with a move away from Inter this summer and there is an update on what the Moroccan full back's future might hold.
Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano reports talks between Paris Saint-Germain and the Serie A winners are continuing over a deal worth €60m, although Inter want closer to €80m.
Chelsea have also reportedly contacted Hakimi's agents this week, but there's still a long way to go for any sort of deal to be agreed. This one could go on and one this summer...

09:35 - Dortmund set Sancho deadline!

It's the summer transfer saga that will never end (and has now spanned at least two summers), but there's an update on Jadon Sancho's proposed move to Manchester United.
As has been widely reported, United are once again interested in signing Sancho, but they will only have until the end of July to get a deal done.
That's according to BILD who have more information about the Old Trafford club's pursuit of Sancho. A deal does seem more likely to happen this summer, but Borussia Dortmund are digging their heels in.

09:20 - Barca consider Sterling bid!

Let's have a little bit more information on that story concerning Raheem Sterling, with Barcelona reportedly considering an offer for the England winger.
SPORT claims Sterling is one of the options being monitored by the Camp Nou club who are reportedly confident of raising funds for transfers with player sales over the next few weeks.

Barca would likely have to include some makeweights in any deal to sign Sterling, but the 26-year-old is believed to be weighing up his future at Manchester City.
Sterling has fallen out of favour at the Etihad Stadium with talks over a new contract reported to have stalled.

09:00 - Hello and welcome!
