16:55 - Locatelli update

We mentioned Manuel Locatelli earlier in the day and there is now another update on the future of the Italian international midfielder.
According to Calcio Mercato, Manchester City could soon make an offer for the 23-year-old who is seen as a potential successor to Fernandinho.
Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with Locatelli who is likely to be an important player for his country at Euro 2020.
Sassuolo reportedly want a fee of €40m for Locatelli, but Juventus have already indicated they won't pay more than €25m.

16:35 - West Ham offer for Czech midfielder

West Ham United have reportedly made contact with Czech Republic midfielder Alex Kral which could see him secure a move to the London Stadium this summer.
According to Football Insider, the Hammers have set aside £20m+ as a transfer fee for the Spartak Moscow player and could offer to double Kral's wages.

Kral wil feature for his country at Euro 2020 and has drawn attention from across Europe after an impressive season for Spartak Moscow.
Of course, West Ham already have Czechs Thomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal. Would Kral add to their quality?

16:15 - Koeman to stay as Barca boss

There has been a lot of speculation about Ronald Koeman's future as Barcelona boss, but it now appears he will stay at the Camp Nou.
Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano reports Barca president Joan Laporta has decided to stick with the Dutchman as the club's manager.
While Barcelona's season fell apart towards the end, Koeman did enough to earn himself another season, at least in this writer's opinion.
Koeman has done a good job of bringing through a number of young players. The transition is under way.

15:55 - Chelsea to open talks with young striker

Chelsea farm out so many young players on loan that it's easy to lose track, but one prospect has caught the eye - Armando Broja.
The 19-year-old scored 11 goals in 36 games on loan at Vitesse Arnhem last season and Sky Sports now reports Chelsea will open contract talks with the youngster.
With Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud expected to be on their way out of Stamford Bridge this summer, there could be a attacking squad place up for grabs.

15:40 - Zaha reiterates desire to leave Palace

Wilfried Zaha wanting to leave Crystal Palace isn't anything new, but the Ivory Coast winger has once again reiterated his desire to move on.
That's according to The Times who claim Zaha wants to secure a transfer away from Selhurst Park before the start of pre-season this summer.
Arsenal and Everton have both registered an interest in Zaha in the past, but his form has taken a dip recently. This could result in fewer suitors making a move.
Zaha is under contract at Selhurst Park until 2023 and so it remains clear where he could end up if he is sold this summer window.

15:10 - Ancelotti wants Richarlison at Real Madrid

We've already mentioned Ancelotti in this live blog a number of times today and his name comes up again with regards to Richarlison's future.
According to Football Insider, the Italian wants the Brazilian attacker to join him at Real Madrid, where he was appointed earlier this week.
Ancelotti sees Richarlison as the only Everton player capable of making the step up to play for a club like the Spanish giants.
It's claimed the Goodison Park club wil listen to offers for Richarlison as they look to rebuild their squad for the start of the 2021/22 season.

14:50 - Liverpool 'lead race' for Leeds winger

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for Leeds United's Raphina and Liverpool reportedly lead the race for the winger.
According to Italian football journalist Gianluigi Longari, Liverpool see the Brazilian as a summer target, although striking a deal with Leeds won't be easy.
Raphinha enjoyed a succesful first season in the Premier League, but would he improve Jurgen Klopp's options?

14:35 - Villa set to keep midfielder

Aston Villa are hopeful of keeping Douglas Luiz amid speculation that the Brazilian could be on his way back to Manchester City this summer.
The Express & Star report City are unlikely to trigger a buy-back clause they hold in Luiz's contract that would allow them to re-sign him for around £27.5m.
Luiz has made 69 appearances for Aston Villa and has become a key figure for Dean Smith's side. The news he is set to stay would be a big boost to their chances of building on last season's showing.

14:15 - Kolasinac back to Arsenal

There's been a lot of talk about who could leave Arsenal this summer, but one player heading back to North London is Saed Kolasinac.
Kolasinac spent the second half of last season on loan at Schalke, but the Bosnian will now return to Arsenal after the German club refused the chance to make the signing permanent.
There is already speculation over where Kolasinac might be off to next (Napoli have been linked), but it seems unlikely that he will be part of Mikel Arteta's plans for next season.

14:00 - Son contract talks

It's fair to say there's a lot going on at Tottenham Hotspur right now. However, the future of Son Heung-min shouldn't be overlooked.
Football journalist Fabrizio Romano reports Spurs are in talks with the South Korean over a new contract following an impressive 2020/21 campaign.
There is a confidence from the Tottenham end of things that Son will put pen to paper, but only once a new manager has been appointed.

13:20 - Ilaix's contract demands

A number of young players made their breakthrough for Barcelona last season and midfielder Ilaix Moriba was one of them.
Ilaix is highly-rated at the Camp Nou and is widely seen as a key part of the Catalan club's future, but there are some growing concerns over his contract renewal.
Mundo Deportivo reports the 18-year-old has new representatives and their demands over a new deal could strain negotiations.
Currently only under contract until next summer, there is a sense of urgency at Barcelona to sort out Ilaix's future, but this might be easier said than done.

13:05 - Kane's future part of Conte talks

Antonio Conte is widely believed to be Tottenham Hotspur's top pick to fill their managerial vacancy this summer and Harry Kane's future is a big part of the talks with the Italian.
ESPN have confirmed discussions between Spurs and the former Chelsea, Inter and Juventus boss, adding that Kane has been a key component.
Of course, Kane has expressed his desire to leave Tottenham this summer with Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all linked with a move.
The appointment of Conte would be a real statement of intent by Spurs, so you would think Kane would be more open to staying at the club.

12:50 - ESR to Villa?

The emergence of Emile Smith Rowe was one highlight in an otherwise dull season for Arsenal, but the young midfielder is now a target for Aston Villa.
That's according to the Telegraph who claim Villa could target Smith Rowe should Jack Grealish leave the club in the summer window.
Mikel Arteta would like to tie Smith Rowe to a long term contract, but with Martin Odegaard and Emi Buendia on Arsenal's radar he could find himself squeezed out at the Emirates Stadium.
Surely the Gunners wouldn't let a talent like Smith Rowe leave, would they? [Looks at Serge Gnabry...]

12:30 - New contract for Vazquez

Some official news - Real Madrid have announced (Comunicado Oficial) that they have signed Lucas Vazquez to a new three-year contract.
The 29-year-old winger was set to become a free agent this summer, but has secured his future with the Santiago Bernabeu club until the summer of 2024.
For some, this might be somewhat surprising news. Vazquez was a favourite of Zidane's, but is somewhat limited in terms of his skill set.
Will Ancelotti be as keen on the winger/wing back as his predecessor was? Did he make this decision to keep Vazquez? Three years seems like quite a lengthy extension for a player who's almost 30...

12:20 - Update on Locatelli's future

Manuel Locatelli enjoyed an excellent season for Sassuolo in Serie A and will be an important figure for Italy at these upcoming European Championships.
The midfielder has also been linked with a number of clubs including Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. A good showing at Euro 2020 could lift his price.

Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevali has provided an update on Locatelli and the interest being shown in the club's biggest asset.
“We’ll decide after the Euros, we want to make Manuel happy [selling him this summer]," he told Tuttosport. "Many clubs from top European leagues are interested in him”

12:05 - Inzaghi to Inter confirmed

It was already something of an open secret, but Inter have confirmed the appointment of Simone Inzaghi as their new manager.
Antonio Conte's departure from the San Siro club was confirmed last week and the Italian champions have moved quickly to secure his replacement.
Inzaghi is one of the highest profile coaches in Serie A having done an excellent job with Lazio over the last two seasons and will be looking to carry on his good work at Inter.
Will Inzaghi's appointment be enough to keep Lukaku at Inter? There are reports that the two men have already spoken...

11:55 - Giroud edging closer to AC Milan

AC Milan's interest in Olivier Giroud is well-established by now and reports claim the Frenchman is edging ever closer to securing a move to Italy.
Gazetta dello Sport has more details on the 34-year-old's impending switch to the San Siro, with Stefano Pioli keen to strengthen the attack of his team.
It's claimed Giroud wants to play alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but how will the two centre forwards fit into the same side?

11:40 - Ancelotti puts three players up for sale

Carlo Ancelotti was appointed Real Madrid manager earlier this week and the Italian coach has reportedly started working out who he wants to keep and who he would like to see leave.
Marca reports Gareth Bale, Isco and Marcelo have been identified as surplus to requirements, with all three players up for sale in this summer window.
One of the key factors in this is the financial savings Real Madrid want to make this summer, with the club intent on cutting €50m from their wage bill.
Zinedine Zidane wasn't always given the freedom to shape the squad at the Santiago Bernabeu in the way he would have liked. Will Ancelotti get that freedom?

11:25 - PSG fire sale?

There has been a lot of talk about who Paris Saint-Germain might sign this summer (Gianluigi Donnarumma, Cristiano Ronaldo etc), but they might also have to sell some players too.
Gazzetta dello Sport has some details on this, with the Italian newspaper claiming Mauro Icardi could be one of those players allowed to leave the Parc des Princes.
Leandro Paredes and Layvin Kurzawa have also been mentioned as players who could help PSG raise as much as €80m in transfer sales this summer.

However, the priority for PSG at this moment remains signing Kylian Mbappe to a new contract extension, according to the report.

11:10 - Campos not going to Nice

Some sporting director chat now and it appears Luis Campos is not going to Nice, which opens up a range of possibilities for the highly-rated transfers chief.
RMC Sport journalist Loic Tanzi reports Campos, who is at Lille, is in talks with Arsenal and Real Madrid. He is also reportedly open to offers from other clubs.
Campos is seen as one of the best sporting directors in the game alongside the likes of Monchi and Fabio Paratici. If he's on the market this summer, there will be no shortage of offers.

10:55 - Trippier 'closes door' on United

Yet more Manchester United transfer news this morning and this time it concerns Kieran Trippier who has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford club.
Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness) claim the England international has "closed the door" on a return to the Premier League and wants to stay at Atletico Madrid.

This is understandable. Why would Trippier want to return to England? In Spain, he's become a league champion and is a key figure for one of the best teams in Europe.
It's also understandable that Manchester United want a more attack-minded right back to provide Aaron Wan-Bissaka with some competition. They might just have to look elsewhere.

10:40 - Benteke signs new Palace deal

Crystal Palace have announced that Christian Benteke has signed a new two-year contract with the Selhurst Park club.
The Belgian striker had been set to leave the Eagles as a free agent at the end of his contract, but has now put pen to paper to extend his stay.
Benteke scored 10 goals in 30 appearances for Crystal Palace in the Premier League and is still a good option for the Eagles, who will also be appointing a new manager before the start of the new season.
"I’m happy and proud to commit my future to Crystal Palace," he said. "Five years already and still a lot more to come. We have a great group of players and staff, and I’m looking forward to the season ahead and playing in front of our fans again."

10:25 - United 'working on deal' for Varane

We brought you news of Manchester United's interest in Kieran Trippier yesterday and now there are reports of their interest in Raphael Varane.
The French defender has been linked with the Old Trafford club at various times over the last few years and he is once again on their radar this summer.
The Daily Mail reports United are "working on a deal" for Varane with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer embarking on a rebuild to take the club closer to the top of the English game.
Manchester United are expected to be in the market for a new centre back this summer and Varane could be on his way out of Real Madrid with the Frenchman's contract up next summer.

10:10 - Aguero's other choice

Barcelona weren't the only ones interested in signing Sergio Aguero. The Argentine was reportedly on Juventus' radar and it's now emerged he had a slightly left-field option too.
Indeed, Real Salt Lake General Manager Elliott Fall has confirmed that the MLS club held an interest in Aguero.
It's not too surprising that an MLS club was interested in Aguero, but Real Salt Lake don't usually make many moves for big name players. It's not LA or Miami, put it that way...

09:55 - Memphis 'very close' to Barca

It's been a busy week for Barcelona. Monday, they signed Sergio Aguero, Tuesday, they signed Eric Garcia. Wednesday, they signed Emerson Royal.
Now, it appears they are close to getting a deal done for Memphis Depay with newspaper Sport claiming the Dutchman is "very close" to joining the Catalans.
Of course, this will come as no surprise to those who have been following Barcelona's long-standing interest in Memphis - he was strongly linked with a move to the Camp Nou last summer!
An announcement could come next week with the former Manchester United winger set to sign a three-year deal as a free agent.
Check out his second goal for the Netherlands against Scotland last night...

09:40 - Man Utd fall behind in striker pursuit

Ajax have overtaken Manchester United in the pursuit of FC Nordsjaelland striker Kamaldeen Sulemana according to reports this morning.
Sulemana is believed to be on the Old Trafford club's radar this summer after an impressive 2020/21 season as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to add some depth to his squad.
However, Football Insider claims Ajax have now edged ahead in the race to sign the highly-rated 19-year-old despite discussions between United and the player.

09:25 - Lukaku says he's staying!

There's been a lot of speculation about the future of Romelu Lukaku this week, but the Belgian striker has now come out and said he's staying at Inter.
Chelsea are reportedly interested in Lukaku who scored 37 goals for club and country last season. Speculation intensified after Antonio Conte's exit from the San Siro last week.
However, Lukaku has poured cold water on the transfer chat by insisting he's going nowhere this summer.

"I am staying," he told Belgian TV. "I feel good at Inter.
"I've already had contact with the man who becomes our new manager," Lukaku told TV station VTM.
"Maybe I shouldn't say that yet. It was a very positive conversation. There's also the challenge of doing it again (winning Serie A)."

09:10 - Bernardo on the way out at City?

Let's start with some Manchester City transfer news this morning and it seems Bernardo Silva could be on his way out of the Premier League champions this summer.
The Telegraph reports that the Portuguese midfielder could be a casualty of the club's rebuild and that a number of clubs from across Europe have already registered their interest.
City have already been quite bullish in saying they will look to spend big in the transfer window, but could that mean a number of players leaving? Raheem Sterling is also apparently up for sale.

08:55 - Welcome!

Graham Ruthven will be here in five minutes. But first, here's a tasty line from Gazzetta in Italy, who claim Cristiano Ronaldo is part of a bumper three-way transfer involving Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi. In short: Mbappe will join Real Madrid, Ronaldo will replace him at PSG and Icardi will hop from the French capital to Juventus.
So which player do Real Madrid lose in all of this? Well, Sergio Ramos is heading out of the club, according to this morning's Paper Round. But then we have heard this before...
