Arne Slot will not be the next Tottenham manager after the Feyenoord boss ruled himself out of the running and committed his future to the Dutch champions. Slot was widely reported to be the frontrunner for the job, with Luis Enrique also under consideration. But he announced that he will stay in Rotterdam instead and has never been in talks about a move away.

Arne Slot has ruled himself out of the running to become the next Tottenham manager, insisting he wants to stay at Feyenoord and never considered leaving.
The Dutchman was widely considered the frontrunner to become the next permanent Spurs boss, with several reports claiming a deal was imminent.
However, Slot has instead announced that he will sign a contract extension in Rotterdam after leading Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title this season.
“I have heard a lot about the interest of other clubs in me,” Slot said, as reported by AD.
“I am grateful for the appreciation that this expresses, but my wish is to stay with Feyenoord and continue to build on the foundations that have been laid over the past two seasons.
“There are no transfer talks going on and there have been none and yesterday's discussion was solely about a possible extension.
“All conversations with Feyenoord are only aimed at that. I look forward to the new season at Feyenoord.”
The news comes as a blow to Spurs, who have been on the hunt for a permanent boss since Antonio Conte left in March.
His replacement, interim boss Cristian Stellini, lasted only a month before being dismissed and now Ryan Mason is leading the club until the end of the season.
Luis Enrique, Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino are among the other names to have been linked with the job, but Spurs appear no closer to finding their new man.
Tottenham have limped towards the finish line in the 2022-23 season, winning once in their last seven Premier League outings to tumble out of the European positions.
They will begin the final day of the season against Leeds United on Sunday in eighth place, needing to better Aston Villa’s result against Brighton if they are to squeeze into a Europa Conference League spot.
