Alphonso Davies' long-term future at Bayern Munich is under serious threat as Real Madrid prepare a plan to bring the left-back to the Santiago Bernabeu. Elsewhere, Manchester United are ready to launch an improved bid for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, Manchester City are edging closer to completing the signing of Josko Gvardiol and there is interest in Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic.

Davies is the Real deal

Real Madrid are planning a move for long-term target Alphonso Davies next summer. The Canadian full-back's current contract is set to expire in 2025 and there are doubts over whether he will sign an extension with the Bundesliga champions. Real Madrid are ready to pounce and have made Davies one of their top transfer targets.
Spanish media outlet AS reports: "Davies no longer seems so sure he wants to stay at Bayern and one of the main reasons would be Real Madrid.
"The left-back has long been on the radar of the Spanish side, who are keeping a close eye on him and are considering a move for him next summer, when, with just a year left on his contract, they could snap him up for a lower fee.
"Bayern want to do everything possible to ensure that Davies renews his contract."

Man Utd launch improved Hojlund bid

Manchester United are preparing a second bid for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund after seeing their opening offer of £30 million rejected by the Serie A side. Erik ten Hag is keen on adding a new striker to his squad, but has switched targets from Harry Kane due to Tottenham Hotspur's unwillingness to sell their talisman.
The Sun states: "Manchester United are preparing a second bid of £40 million to land Rasmus Hojlund.
"The Red Devils’ bargain-bucket bid to get a new striker saw them have a £30m bid rejected for the Atalanta ace.
"Man Utd began the summer aiming to get £100m target Harry Kane. But Tottenham refused to do business and their second target, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, proved too expensive."

City to make Gvardiol most expensive defender ever

Manchester City have entered negotiations with RB Leipzig over the transfer of centre-back Josko Gvardiol. The Croatia international has been the subject of interest from a number of top clubs for a while and Leipzig are ready to demand a record-breaking transfer fee of £86 million for their prized asset.
The Mail reveals: "Leipzig had been resistant to selling the Croatia central defender but he has told them of a desire to leave for the Treble winners this summer.
"The Bundesliga side want £86million plus additional clauses for Gvardiol, regarded as one of the best young talents in Europe.
"Gvardiol operates in a similar position to Aymeric Laporte, who could leave the club over the coming weeks, although City have yet to field an official offer for the Spaniard."

Pulisic to Milan or Lyon?

Christian Pulisic is edging closer to a Chelsea exit, with interest from both Lyon and AC Milan. Both clubs have made offers for the American forward, but Lyon are more likely to get a deal over the line due to their higher bid. Pulisic is extremely likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer in a search for first-team football.
The Athletic writes: "Earlier today, AC Milan had made their first verbal offer for the 24-year-old Chelsea winger worth €14 million. However they face stiff competition from Lyon who have made their second bid for Pulisic today.
"Lyon’s bid is worth €25 million plus a meaningful sell-on clause that is still being negotiated.
"The proposal is at a level which Chelsea would find acceptable for Pulisic and they are reluctant to let him exit for lower."
