FULL-TIME: LILLE TAKE THE TROPHEE DES CHAMPIONS! Mauricio Pochettino's Paris Saint-Germain make a losing start to the season as Xeka's 44th-minute rocket is enough for Lille to win the first trophy of the 21/22 campaign. See Eurosport.co.uk for a full match report. Thanks for tuning in.
And now Jardim gets away with a poor clearance, beating Icardi to the loose ball. We're into the first of FIVE minutes of added-time!
Massive save! Jardim makes a poor punch from Herrera's corner delivery but then makes amends by throwing himself in front of Wijnaldum's hooked effort at goal!
Chance! That could have been the moment for PSG as Danilo is free at the back post to meet a cross from the right but he fails to generate the power needed in his header to test Jardim.
- OffJonathan BambaLille OSC
- OnDomagoj BradaricLille OSC
Double Lille sub: Domogoj Bradaric and Jonathan Ikone come on for Bamba and Araujo. Lille are almost there.
- Yellow cardJulian DraxlerParis Saint-Germain
Yellow card! When things aren't going PSG's away, their players can lose their cool and Draxler has just talked himself into a booking.
- OffPresnel KimpembeParis Saint-Germain
- OnLayvin KurzawaParis Saint-Germain
Double PSG sub: Ismael Gharbi and Layvin Kurzawa come on for Kalimuendo and Kimpembe. It's now or never for Pochettino.
- OffXekaLille OSC
- OnYusuf YaziciLille OSC
Lille sub: The goalscorer and potential match winner Xeka makes way for Yusuf Yazici as we approach the last 10 minutes.
- Yellow cardLuiz AraujoLille OSC
Yellow card! Lots of tired legs out there now as Araujo goes into the book for a challenge that shouts fatigue.
- OffJonathan DavidLille OSC
- OnTimothy WeahLille OSC
Lille sub: David makes way for Timothy Weah.
Chance! Draxler is unmarked to meet Herrera's cross, he tries a first-time volley but gets the technique all wrong as the ball sails wide of goal.
Goal ruled out! And PSG almost benefit from Wijnaldum's presence immediately, the Dutchman in an advanced role to play in Icardi who bundles the ball over the line - but the linesman's flag is up for offside.
Wijnaldum is playing a little higher in midfield than he would have at Liverpool, just off Icardi.
- OffEric EbimbeParis Saint-Germain
- OnGeorginio WijnaldumParis Saint-Germain
PSG sub: Georginio Wijnaldum comes on for his debut, replacing Dina in the heart of midfield.
With 20 minutes remaining, the players are allowed a short break in the sweltering Tel Aviv conditions. Lille are still ahead, can they hang on to claim the Trophee des Champions?
Again, Lille break rapidly with Djalo racing down the right flank. He spots Navas off his line and tries to lob the PSG goalkeeper with an outrageous shot from range but he can't lift it high enough to trouble him.
Navas is equal to Yilmaz's shot from distance.
David skips past a challenge as Lille look to break with Yilmaz in space but before he can get his pass away he's crowded out.
A dangerous ball is delivered into the Lille penalty area but the referee spots an infringement, with Kimpembe adjudged to have committed a foul.
Bamba wins the ball but catches Hakimi on the follow-through, committing the foul. It's all PSG at the moment as Lille have dropped deep and are seemingly intent on just hanging on to their one-goal lead.
How are PSG not level? From the resultant corner, they ought to score! Icardi rises highest to meet Draxler's delivery and his knock-down finds Diallo unmarked at the back post. He only needs to direct his header on target but from just a few yards out he nods wide!
PSG win a corner, but Draxler's delivery is headed behind for yet another set-piece.
Jardim cuts out Herrera's cross from the right channel. PSG's final in the last third has let them on too many occasions so far tonight.
Botman closes off the space at the near post to hack clear Draxler's cross.
- Yellow cardAbdou DialloParis Saint-Germain
Yellow card! Diallo is booked for a rash challenge on Andre in midfield.
Have a look at Lille's opener - wow!
Oh, that is a beautifully weighted pass from Xeka to release Bamba on the left flank. However, all of his good work is undone as Bamba's cross is easily cut out by the PSG defence.
PSG have an early chance in the second period to test the Lille defence as Reinildo commits a foul. However, Draxler's delivery is underwhelming and fails to beat the first defender.
Kick-off! Lille get the ball moving in the second half.
- End of 1st Half
Half-time: That will do it for the first half! Lille are ahead thanks to Xeka's absolute rocket just before the interval. PSG, without Neymar and Mbappe, haven't got going yet.
Well, that has certainly changed the complexion of the game. Three minutes to be added on at the end of the first half.
- GoalXekaLille OSC
GOAL! Lille 1-0 PSG (Xeka): What a hit by Xeka! He is afforded too much space by the static PSG defence and the Lille midfielder punishes them with a rocket from the edge of the box that beats Navas and sails into the top corner.
Lille are causing problems on the counter-attack and Pochettino will be worried by how easily they are getting behind his defence.
Chance! From the resultant corner, Jardim catches the cross and immediately sets up a counter-attack as he releases the ball. Lille break rapidly and Yakim is sent through on goal... but that's a tame right-footed shot which Navas is equal to.
Could Jardim have caught that? Hakimi bends an awkward cross towards goal and the Lille goalkeeper opts to punch it over the bar, conceding the corner.
Hakimi has been PSG's standout player of the first half and he comes forward once again, playing a one-two before delivering a cross into the middle. It's too close to Jardim who smothers the ball.
Draxler looks to cut inside off the left flank but Djalo stands his ground and makes a clean tackle to win the ball back for Lille. The PSG forward goes down holding his face but there didn't seem to be much contact. The referee certainly didn't see anything.
It's still goalless and we've only had one shot on target from each side so far.
- Yellow cardThilo KehrerParis Saint-Germain
Yellow card! Kehrer appears to play the ball but the referee doesn't see it that way and shows the PSG defender a yellow card.
Shots! Herrera tries to get a shot away from inside the penalty area but it's blocked. PSG recycle possession and Draxler then tries his luck with a powerful effort from range which Jardim does well to push behind for a corner.
The action resumes!
He will be satisfied by what he has watched so far and now Gourvennec will have a chance to speak to his players as we stop for a drink break in the heat of Tel Aviv.
Yilmaz starts a promising Lille attack, threading a ball through to David, but Kimpembe makes an excellent sliding tackle to stop him in his tracks.
A scrappy period in the game, with both sides trying and struggling to keep a hold of the ball.
A drop of the shoulder and a change of pace from Hakimi has PSG motoring forward once more, but the cross is swept away by Fonte.
Hakimi controls a beautiful diagonal ball, knocks it backwards to Dina-Ebimbe and receives it back behind the Lille defence. He looks up and drills a dangerous ball across the face of goal but Lille clear. And then a late offside flag goes up against the PSG wingback.
A first real glimpse of Hakimi in PSG colours as he opens up the legs with a run down the right flank but it's excellent defending by Reinildo who matches him stride for stride, blocking the cross - and even winning the goal-kick.
PSG have won this competition EIGHT years in a row. But they haven't made a fantastic start here as Lille have applied the early pressure.
VAR check! The technology is used early in this contest just to check that the PSG goalkeeper Navas hadn't fouled Yilmaz in the penalty area, who was played through on goal. The referee said he didn't and VAR agrees.
Close! Yilmaz wraps the ball around the wall but his low shot creeps wide of the far post. I think Navas had it covered in any case but that was a smart effort. It must have taken a deflection as the referee awards the corner.
Free-kick! Clever footwork from Bamba draws a foul from Hakimi and a free-kick in a dangerous area for Lille.
The first shot of the season! The young PSG forward Kalimuendo carries the ball to the edge of the area but blazes well over.
No Verratti or Marquinhos for PSG tonight either. It's quite a young side but there's still plenty of talent on show.
Kick-off! Seventy days after the Ligue 1 season came to a dramatic, conclusion PSG get us up and running in this Trophee des Champions contest!
Right, we're almost set for kick-off. The players are out, there are plenty of supporters in attendance and this should be a good game.
The conditions in Tel Aviv could be tricky tonight, with temperatures set to be around 28 degrees celsius at the Bloomfield Stadium.
Tiago Djalo starts for Lille at right-back in the absence of Zeki Celik, who is missing through suspension. Jonathan David and Burak Yilmaz, the club's potent attackers of last season, lead the line as expected.
Acjraf Hakimi, a summer signing from Inter Milan, makes his debut for PSG in defence. But as reported, Gueye misses out in midfield so Andre Herrera is partnered by Danilo Pereira and Dina Ebimbe. New goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is absent, so Keylor Navas starts between the sticks. Arnaud Kalimuendo is handed the responsibility in attack, alongside Julian Draxler and Mauro Icardi.
The team news is finally in! PSG's XI is as follows: Navas, Hakimi, Kehrer, Kimpembe, Diallo, Danilo, Herrera, Dina-Ebimbe, Kalimuendo, Draxler, Icardi. And Lille's XI: Jardim, Djalo, Fonte, Botman, Reinildo, Araujo, Andre, Xeka, Bamba, Yilmaz, David.
Lille may be the champions of France, but this is a much weakened squad now following the departure of goalkeeper Mike Maignan, who has joined AC Milan. Star midfielder Boubakary Soumare has joined Leicester City. And even manager Christophe Galtier has departed to join Nice. A baptism of fire new boss Jocelyn Gourvennec, then!
It is reported that Idrissa Gueye has tested positive for Covid-19 and will therefore miss tonight's game. Kylian Mbappe did not travel with the squad and won't be available nor will the likes of Sergio Ramos or Neymar.
Pochettino: "It's not so much a revenge match against Lille as a revenge match against ourselves. Losing the title, losing in the Champions League semis left us with a bitter taste in our mouths. We want to win all the competitions. We don't have our best team, but we are allowed no excuses. As coach of this team I don't want to see any other side line out as favourites."
A stat as we await the official team news...
Paris Saint-Germain and Lille will meet for the 96th time in official matches in all competitions. PSG have recorded 39 wins, 25 draws and 31 losses.
