UEFA is awaiting match reports amid an allegation of racist abuse against Liverpool teenager Rhian Brewster.
The Merseyside club reported Spartak Moscow to the governing body after the 17-year-old striker, who had to be restrained by team-mates and coaching staff on the final whistle in their UEFA Youth League game, made a complaint.
A UEFA spokesman told Press Association Sport: "UEFA will be waiting to receive the official match reports. We will be able to provide you with official information on this in the next days."
Liverpool confirmed in the wake of the incident that they had "followed the proper procedure by reporting the alleged incident to UEFA", and Press Association Sport understands the report relates to alleged racist abuse.
It is the second time this season that the Reds have made a complaint against Spartak after Brewster's team-mate Bobby Adekanye was racially abused by fans during a game in Moscow in September.
On that occasion, the Russian club was ordered to partially close its academy ground for its next home fixture by UEFA.
