Well, hello there. What a strange year. No football for months and then bang, non-stop action. It continues tonight in the shape of the UEFA Nations League and normally we might moan about international football, but not any more, we're just happy we have some entertainment. And Germany vs Spain is more than alright. They kick off Group A4 as the race for a place in next year's finals begin.

Full-time: Spain have somehow rescued a point in Stuttgart, it ends 1-1 thanks to Jose Gaya's late, late equaliser to cancel out Timo Werner's opener. Thanks for tuning in!

GOAL! Germany 1-1 Spain (Gaya): Incredible, Spain equalise in the FIFTH minute of added time! Torres stands up a lovely cross, Rodrigo helps it on and Gaya taps into an empty net.

Goal ruled out! Fati heads home what he thinks is an equaliser... but the referee has spotted an infringement in the box, Ramos pushing his arm into the face of Ginter.

Chance! Germany should be out of sight. Rudiger is too strong for Pau Torres as he meets the corner delivery but he somehow heads it over the bar from point-blank range.

Trapp is alert to smother Gaya's cross. Germany are managing their lead well and look very comfortable.

No penalty! Fati goes down in the area, under pressure from Rudiger, from the referee says there's nothing doing. That would have been a harsh call to award the foul.

Save! De Gea, once more, to the rescue! In truth, it's a straight forward stop as he tips over Sule's header.

Germany have been much the better side in the second half and they have a chance to seal the game with a free-kick on the right, after Kehrer drew the foul from Gaya.

Ruiz releases Carvajal with an eye of the needle pass, but he made his move too soon and is caught offside.

So close! That's probably the closest Spain have come. Thiago slips by Gundogan to create the space for the shot but sees it drift agonisingly wide of Trapp's far post.

After a tough few months, tonight's performance will certainly help to build De Gea's confidence.

Sane looks fairly comfortable as the camera catches him in the stands. It may have just been a cautionary switch from Low.

Save! Lovely counter-attacking football as Can carries the ball an awful long way, firing a venomous shot at goal and forcing De Gea into yet another stop.

Chance! Germany are threatening to pull away here and it's Sane and Werner involved once more. The former slaloms his way past the Spain defence before squaring it to Werner. He's on the stretch, however, and just can't direct it into the gaping goal.

Werner is through on goal once more and forces De Gea into another fantastic stop, but it wouldn't have counted as he was just offside.
