In England colours at least, he had not troubled the scoresheet for a while.

Against Spain, in the UEFA Nations League, however, he put an end to his drought, which had extended to 1,103 days sans a goal.

Of course, some fans were annoyed it hadn't happened at the World Cup...

There is no pleasing some people - but at least most were happy for the lad...
