Scotland have scored only one goal since McLeish replaced Gordon Strachan as manager after failing to reach the World Cup, suffering four defeats in five matches including a 4-0 home drubbing by Belgium on Friday night.
They looked set to take the lead against Albania on 23 minutes when former Everton and Rangers forward Steven Naismith - on loan at Hearts from Norwich - raced onto a Charlie Mulgrew header to only to nod against a post from two yards out.

Scotland sack Alex McLeish

It summed up the luck that doesn't seems to be with Scotland under McLeish so far as his side dominated matters in Glasgow without finding the net. But surely they will not get closer to ending their drought than this.
At least Naismith made up for it by playing a key part in Scotland's opening goal and heading the second goal. He just won't want to see this shocker again any time soon.
He ended up scoring one, making another and missing the open goal as Scotland completed an impressive 2-0 win over Albania at Hampden Park.
