90+5'

And that's full-time. France had a late scare but they emerge as 4-2 winners. Giroud got two and the world champions are looking good ahead of two trophy opportunities in 2021...

  • Kingsley Coman

GOAL!

This is game over now. Olsen goes up for a late free kick but the ball doesn't go anywhere near the Sweden keeper. France clear and Coman passes it into the back of the empty net from halfway through the away side's half. That's that.

90+3'

Nzonzi hangs on to the ball for far too long and is driven back into his own box. Kimpembe comes across to bail his team-mate out.

90+1'

We're going to have four minutes of injury time and a foul on Nzonzi will give France a few seconds to collect themselves.

  • Robin Quaison

Sweden have one back - is this going to be a miraculous comeback?!

Bengtsson plays one across the face of goal and Quaison loses Kimpembe to tap home from a matter of inches. With Croatia losing, one more goal for Sweden will keep them up!

85'

Giroud's race is run, with Kingsley Coman replacing him. He receives the grateful thanks of his coach Didier Deschamps, having made a game-changing cameo.

81'

France seem to be fairly comfortable passing it around, with Sweden having offered precious little going forward. This match seems to be petering out.

78'

Mbappe injects some pace as he drives into the box and goes down under a challenge from Helander but no penalty is forthcoming from this referee.

75'

Pogba picks out Giroud in the box and the centre forward uses his strength to hold off a defender and knock it down to Griezmann, whose shot from the penalty spot is wild and flies over. He could have done better there.

73'

Pogba tries a dig from distance but it's charged down by a yellow shirt.

71'

It's a slower approach from France, with Sweden offering precious little going forward. Kulusevski tries a driven pass across the face of goal but it's dealt with easily.

A double change for Sweden, with another substitute seemingly waiting to come on. Will that improve their fortunes?

63'

It looks as though relegation is looming for Sweden. Croatia have just levelled it against Portugal in this group's other game and, with Mbappe looking confident and glad to be back, the outlook is bleak for them at the Stade de France.

  • Olivier Giroud
GoalOlivier GiroudFranceGOAL!!! Giroud again! Sweden can't clear their lines and Pogba finds Mbappe on the left. The returning PSG star plays a fantastic cross to the near post and Giroud is there to send a diving header beyond Olsen. He atones for his earlier miss and France have a two-goal cushion.

And it's time for Mbappe!

Thuram was up and moving but is being replaced by the PSG star after a good night's work.

56'

Thuram is on the turf after a clash of knees with Claesson. Ominously for Sweden, Kylian Mbappe is stripped and ready to go on the sidelines.

55'

What a miss!

Giroud should have France 3-1 up. Sissoko floats a beautiful ball up the veteran striker, who meets it, but puts it wide. He should have buried that - it was from short range and he was under no pressure.

53'

The flow of this match has been transformed since the interval. Now it's France sitting back, with Sweden dominating possession and probing.

51'

Some positive news for Sweden, with Portugal equalising against Croatia in this group's other game. Relegation will go right to the very last minute here.

48'

It's early days of course, but it looks as though Sweden have picked up the pace and want to play more on the front foot as they look to turn this around.

  • 2nd Half
46'

And we're back! France have got the second half under way and have made two changes in defence, with Hernandez and Varane replaced by Zouma and Digne.

  • End of 1st Half
45+1'

And that's half-time. France are up at the break and thoroughly deserve to be, but Sweden could have had a great chance to level it, right on the cusp of the whistle after the referee ignored that rather obvious foul from Varane on Kulusevski.

The hosts began to dominate as the first period, though, and will be confident of adding to their lead after the break.

45'

Sweden should have a penalty. There's no explaining that decision.

Kulusevski is completely taken out by Varane, who makes no attempt to play the ball but the referee is unimpressed. There's no VAR in the Nations League group stages to right the wrong and France keep their lead.

44'

Why on earth did Pogba just do that? Griezmann cuts in from the right and bends the ball beautifully into the far corner, but the whistle had already gone after the Manchester United midfielder took down an opponent, yards from the play.

41'

Thuram may be an international newcomer but he's playing very well. He makes another threatening run but is crowded out by Lustig.

38'

Save!

Rabiot is in acres of space halfway through the Sweden half and has a dig with his left foot. The ball cannons off the ducking Olsson and Olsen reacts well to tip it over.

  • Benjamin Pavard
GoalBenjamin PavardFranceGOAL! France are ahead now! Thuram has been excellent and he's involved again, weaving his way to the edge of the box and shooting, but off balance. The fall loops up in the air and falls kindly to Pavard, who strikes first time and his daisy-cutter volley nestles in the bottom corner.

33'

Thuram cuts in from the left and feeds Griezmann. He tries to clip the ball back to the Gladbach attacker but a defender is there to clear the danger. Almost a beautiful, but it comes to nothing...

30'

Sweden remain a potent threat on the break, with France now dominating possession. Kulusevski goes on a fine run and tries to stab the ball through to Berg, but enough France defenders get back to snuff out the danger.

26'

Giroud does brilliantly to rob Sweden in possession at the back and attempts a cheeky back-heel to Griezmann, who doesn't quite read his team-mate. Danielson is relieved to clear up and give it back to his keeper.

24'

Since France's equaliser, this game has got a bit scrappier. This time Sweden skipper Berg is on the floor after an aerial battle with Pogba. The ball goes out of play while he gets a bit of attention.

21'

Varane is on the deck after falling awkwardly in an aerial battle with Lindelof. France have a corner to defend a centre-back light but Griezmann is fouled, so there's no danger.

19'

That's Giroud's 43rd goal for France. He's just eight away from Thierry Henry's record and has a European Championship, and all its warm-up games to come...

  • Olivier Giroud
GoalOlivier GiroudFranceGOAL! France have been threatening Sweden since falling behind and they have their reward. Griezmann breaks from midfield and feeds Thuram. 12'

A fine save!

Giroud has a free header after a fine ball from Sissoko but Olsen gets down well to his left to palm it away. The Chelsea striker was a fair distance from goal but could he have done better?

10'

Giroud rises highest to meet a corner but, under very little pressure, he miscues his header. The ball balloons off his shoulder and Olsen claims it, despite the close attention of Pogba.

8'

So, after that shock goal from Sweden, how do France go about this? The hosts have certainly picked up the pace since falling behind, but it hasn't been fruitful yet.

  • Viktor Claesson
GoalViktor ClaessonSwedenGOAL! Sweden have the lead! Pogba slips in the box when he needs to clear it and Claesson picks it up on the edge of the area. He drives at the France defence and stabs a shot which takes a nick off Varane and completely wrong-foots Lloris. The visitors have a shock lead!

France threaten for the first time, with Sissoko failing to bring a high ball down on the right wing. Giroud harries the visitors' defence well but Danielson gets half a yard of space and hoofs it clear.

And we're off! Sweden kick off and immediately go long to the right wing and France wi a throw-in.

19:40

The teams are in the tunnel and we're almost ready to go!

19:25

Sweden's international break has also been a mixed bag. They lost 2-0 to Denmark a week ago but got their first win of the Nations League campaign by defeating Croatia on Saturday. Will they beat the over finalist from the 2018 World Cup?

19:24

After a shock loss to Finland, last Wednesday, France got back on track with a 1-0 away win over Portugal. That home reverse was their only defeat since their loss to Turkey in June 2019. Will they fare any better against Finland's neighbours?

Hello and welcome! Sweden travel to France in the UEFA Nations League. The hosts are top of Group A - 3 ahead of this final match, having dropped just two points, while Sweden are fighting against relegation.
