VIDEO: ‘I think my kids would cry’ – David Beckham stunned by statue prank

David Beckham received the ‘Ronaldo treatment’ after a truly horrific statue was created of him… albeit as part of a hoax.
The former England captain arrived at a compound expecting to see a glorious depiction of his figure. Instead, he was left open-mouthed as a grotesque sculpture purporting to be him was unveiled.
"I honestly look like Stretch Armstrong", he said, also reserving criticism for the pointy chin, dodgy eyes and not-very-bootylicious bum.
I think my kids would just cry if they saw it.
Beckham had been duped into thinking the statue would be displayed outside his former club LA Galaxy’s stadium. However, his pain was spared when Late, Late Show presenter James Corden burst out from behind the scenes to tell him it was a prank – much to Beckham’s annoyance/relief.
Watch it in all its glory below:
The real Beckham statue was unveiled on March 2. It's a little more realistic.
Of course, Beckham is not the only footballer to get an unwelcome recreation. A bust of Juventus forward Ronaldo went viral due its truly appalling features, while Diego Maradona, Gareth Bale and Mohamed Salah have all received unfortunate makeovers.
