Wolves fans hand out some ‘professional-level trolling’ to Liverpool
Wolves fans reportedly goaded their Liverpool counterparts at Anfield by attempting to convince them that Brighton were leading Manchester City by starting off fake goal celebrations.
The last day of the season was always going to be tense.
Liverpool knew their task: beat Wolves and hope that Manchester City slipped up – sorry Stevie G – against Brighton at the Amex.
Jurgen Klopp’s men kept their end of the bargain, taking the lead through Sadio Mane, before the inexplicable news that the Seagulls had taken the lead via the head of Glenn Murray against City. Elation ensued at Anfield.
However, City were level immediately through Sergio Aguero before Aymeric Laporte gave the Citizens the lead. Heartbreak at Anfield.
Then Wolves fans apparently started goading their counterparts by starting up fake Brighton goal celebrations at Anfield and thus starting off the rest of the stadium.
