Claire Lavogez didn't have the best of evenings at the Women's World Cup as France were defeated by Germany on penalties.
The tournament in Canada has given us plenty to celebrate, from some engrossing matches to some brilliant goals, all of which we have showcased on these pages.
But last night, in the quarter-final between France and Germany, it also had a moment of infamy.
The score was locked at 1-1 in Montreal’s Olympic Stadium when Les Bleues star Claire Lavogez broke into the box.
Anticipating contact from Germany’s Babett Peter, she threw herself to the ground in embarrassing fashion.
Things were to get worse for Lavogez as she missed the crucial penalty in the shootout as France were sent packing from the competition.
