- End of 2nd Half
And that's full-time!
Jamaica were spirited but Brazil run out deserved winners here thanks to Cristiane's hat-trick. It could well have been more were it not for some fine goalkeeping from Sydney Schneider.
Debinha cuts in from the left on the counter and tries to bend an effort, which goes high and wide. She had team-mates in better positions and perhaps should have looked to play them in.
There'll be four minutes of injury time.
Quick feet from Debinha bamboozle Plumber and she puts in a threatening cross towards Geyse. Schneider comes bravely off her line to get a touch on it but is taken out by the Brazil forward. We'll have a brief pause in play.
Ludmila has been lively off the bench and intercepts a slack pass to Konya Plumber but can only drag her effort wide under pressure from the Jamaican captain.
- Yellow cardDaianeBrazil (W)
Erika gets her name taken for a scything challenge which stops Shaw in her stride.
What a miss!
Plumber waits for Schneider to come off her line to claim the ball but Geyse gets in ahead of the defender. Schneider gets a vital touch but Geyse can still put the ball across the face of goal to Ludmila, who puts the ball into the side netting.
Schneider makes a fine save!
Geyse is fed in the box and shifts the ball on to her left foot before unleashing a powerful drive, which the young goalkeeper tips away after getting down low to her left.

There'll be no Marta today. Kathellen is withdrawn after appearing to struggle with cramp Erika is on in her stead.
Shaw robs Kathellen in possession but trips with Asher in a threatening position ahead of her.

And that's Cristiane's last involvement. She and Beatriz are withdrawn for Geyse and Ludmila.
- GoalCristianeBrazil (W)
Cristiane has her hat-trick!
Plumber takes down Cristiane on the edge of the box and the forward picks herself up to strike a brilliant left-footed free kick in off the under side of the bar.
Another big chance for Jamaica!
Barbara again struggles with a cross from Carter. The ball falls to Swaby again, who can't jab it home from a tight angle.
Another nervous moment from Barbara, who comes charging off her line to punch clear a set piece. Shaw beats her to it but can't direct it goal-ward, and Allyson Swaby was unable to get on to the loose ball.
Chaos in the Brazil box as Shaw robs Monica and feeds Carter, whose shot is charged down.
Brazil are looking to hammer home their advantage now. Debinha is sent clear but a combination of Bond-Flasza and Schneider put her under enough pressure to avert the danger and win a goal kick. She had wanted a penalty but it would have been harsh.
- GoalCristianeBrazil (W)
Brazil are 2-0 up and it's Cristiane again!
Debinha makes a fine forward run and feeds Andressa, who puts in a brilliant ball across the face of goal. Cristiane is there at the far post and although Plumber tries her best to keep it over the line, it had crossed and Brazil are two up.
Quick feet for Cristiane allow her to get a shot away. It's deflected over by Plumber but it wouldn't have counted anyway as the offside flag had gone up.
- 2nd Half
And we're off!
Jamaica get the second half started and are still in this one.
- End of 1st Half
And that's half-time!
Brazil lead 1-0 but it could well be more were it not for an inspired performance from Sydney Schneider in the Jamaica goal.
She has made some excellent saves, not least from a penalty from Andressa, who has been the best player on the pitch, barring that one moment. At the other end, Shaw has had a couple of bright moments but Brazil are good value for their lead.
Shaw forces a threatening-looking ball across the face of goal but was flagged for offside. She's done well up top, despite her team being very much on the back foot for much of the match so far.
The best two players on the park so far have arguably been Andressa and Schneider and as the Brazil attacker looks to double her side's lead from the spot, the Jamaica keeper gets down low to her right to make the save.
It was a poor penalty but Schneider's impressive day goes on.
Brazil have a penalty after hand-ball was given in the area from a cross from Laetitia Santos. VAR is double checking but the penalty stands!
Barbara goes from zero to hero!
The Brazil goalkeeper spills a cross from Carter straight to Shaw but springs to her feet as the Jamaica striker looks to equalise.
Cristiane goes clean through and forces another save from Schneider, but the flag was up anyway.
Debinha gets down the left and pulls it across the face of goal. It looks as though the ball is rolling to Andressa for an easy finish but Cristiane has a brain fade and takes a touch. Brazil should really be two goals to the good.
What a save!
Barbara is forced into an acrobatic stop to stop Shaw's goal-bound effort from flying into the top corner and levelling this one up. She claims the resulting corner authoritatively.
Schneider again, Andressa again.
Andressa puts in another superb ball, this time from the right, and the Jamaica keeper gets a hand to it. She is perhaps a little lucky when the lose ball bounces off Beatriz and back into her hands.
Schneider makes another fine save!
Andressa is at the heart of things once more, playing another brilliant through ball to Debina. She has Cristiane in support as she goes through one on one, but elects to go it alone, forcing Schneider into another fine save.
Brazil may have a lead they richly deserve now but Jamaica have had a bit more of the ball since they fell behind. Nonetheless, not a great deal is being created with it
Andressa looks to bend in the free kick but gets too much of it and it brushes the top of the bar on its way out for a goal kick.
- Yellow cardKonya PlummerJamaica (W)
We've had our first yellow card of the afternoon as Plumber gets her name taken for a late lunge which gives Brazil a free kick in a dangerous area.
- GoalCristianeBrazil (W)
Cristiane has given Brazil the lead. Andressa puts in a delicious ball from the left and the 34-year-old striker meets it brilliantly to head it beyond Schneider and into the bottom corner.
Jamaica may be huge under dogs but they do provide a certain threat. Shaw skips inside Katheleen but Barbara gets behind it to make the save.
Andressa swings in a free kick from the left wing. Monica gets her head to it but can only glance it wide.
Andressa plans a fantastic ball which puts Debinha one on one. She looks to round Schneider but the keeper comes flying off her line to smother the ball.
Barbara claims the ball well in her own box after a threatening cross.
The chaos of Jamaica's counter attack aside, Brazil have dominated all the possession so far. They've already had four corners but the closest time they came to threatening was when Schneider was forced to make an excellent punch with Cristiane lurking.
Tamires takes the corner short and wastes it and suddenly Brazil are in trouble. Barbara has to come charging out of her goal to the half way line to clear the danger with Shaw looking to latch on to the loose ball.
Brazil make a bright start in the opening seconds and win an early corner!
- 1st Half
And we're off!

The teams are out and we're almost ready to go!
Brazil are on a poor run of form but start their campaign for a first world title against veritable minnows. How will this one go?
So the headline news with regards to team news is that Marta is only fit enough to make the bench. There had been a doubt leading into the game that she would even be fit enough to be among the substitutes.
