PENALTY CANADA! It could only be that outcome! Asllani is booked in the process of being deemed to have handled it!

PENALTY? Canada won't want to go home with a whimper and they're going to give this a real go.
Beckie's cross is flicked wide by Schmidt. But there was a blocked shot in the build up there...
Scott's shot hits the left arm of Asllani. The referee Kate Jacewicz is coming across to review the incident...

SUB! Canada make their first change as Adriana Leon replaces Prince. Leon plays in England with West Ham, and she comes on for her 60th cap.

The first half was crying out for an early second-half goal and Sweden, after providing it, are really finding their rhythm now as Rolfo takes aim from range, and a venomous left-foot piledriver drifts just wide.

Beckie plays the short corner to Sinclair and takes the back-heeled return but Beckie is in an offsuide position as Lindahl gathers at her hear post.
The gaps are beginning to appear on the break for Sweden as goalscorer Blackstenius just can't find Jakobsson in the centre with the Canadian defence stretched.

Canada had just been building up a head of steam when Blackstenius latched onto that pass to break the deadlock. The good news for them is that there's still plenty of time left to find an equaliser.

GOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!! Sweden 1-0 Canada. The first shot on target from either side and the player that the Sweden coach Peter Gerhardsson has said is the country's most important has given Sweden the lead!!!
Asllani's ball is perfect as Blackstenius peels off the back of Zadorsky and as Labbe comes out, the top goalscorer in qualifying gets there first to poke the ball home!

WIDE! It is Sinclair who strikes it, but that's never troubling Lindahl as the ball drifts wide.

FOUL! Beckie is fouled by Asllani. What can Sinclair do from here? She's 30 yards out, dead central.
51'
SEE YOU LATER! That's the best piece of skill so far on show tonight and it comes from Canada defender Buchanan as she produces a sublime Cruyff turn to lose Rubensson before winning the free-kick.
50'
Sweden (W)
Sweden have started the second half better and are located much higher up the pitch.
Jakobsson does well down the right but she just can't quite get the ball out of her feet as Chapman doggedly sticks to her task to knock the ball out for a corner.

Lawrence combines well with Prince, she has three white shirts to pick out in the middle but she can only find the foot of Sembrant at the near post.

We're back underway at the Parc des Princes. It's been a physical even battle and more has already happened in the first four minutes of tonight's episode of Love Island (I'm told) than in the first 45 minutes of that half.
Please can we have more drama in the next 45?

It won't take to wrap up that first half and suffice to say defences are on top. The creative players haven't come to the party yet. All in all, very disappointing.

BOOKED! Fridolina Rolfo goes over the top of the ball and down onto the ankle of Scott.
It's only the fourth foul of the half but it certainly warrants a yellow as we enter one added minute at the end of this first period.

Sinclair just hasn't received the service for Canada so far as Prince's pass is played behind her.
The final ball has really let Canada down as they've been able to get in behind the Sweden defence.
Perhaps we will be seeing the exciting teenager Huitema, who has recently joined PSG, before too long. Canada have given the ball away 88 times in the first-half.

Yep, there's Mexican wave. The crowd have resorted to amusing themselves as they wait for lift-off in this match.
The way things are going, one goal may just be enough to win this even though there's quite a considerable amount of time to go.
Zadorsky hacks down Asllani forcefully and that's the first foul I can count in this rather tepid game.
35'
Eriksson with the second corner in quick succession for Sweden. The delivery is decent but Labbe comes through the crowd to fist clear and take the pressure off her defence.

This is a slow burner with the crowd here is large but having to be patient with neither side having registered a shot on target so far.
Rolfo seeks Blackstenius on the counter-attack but very few will beat Buchanan in a foot race.
Jakobsson moments later is away down the right for Sweden, but Chapman does brilliantly to get back and make the tackle at the expense of a corner.

Canada have enjoyed 62 per cent of possession and this time Prince gets in behind the Sweden defence on the right but the final ball is distinctly lacking as good defending from Jakobsson allows Sweden to escape unharmed.
A well-timed run from Prince, but it was a pity about the cross.
