-

FULL-TIME. Three first-half goals do the trick for Norway. They go second in Group A behind hosts France. Nigeria will be disappointed that they didn't even get on the scoresheet, but they were wasteful and slack and spurned their chances. Thanks for your company this evening.

90'+2

Oshoala on another run into the box, but goes for one gallop too far giving the Norway defenders time to close in. Corner.

90'

Reiten's off, replaced by Haavi for the six minutes of injury time.

-
88'

Reiten is bodychecked on the edge of the box and is clearly winded.

87'

Graham takes on free kick responsibilities, but has no more luck than Mjelde - high over the bar from a central position.

  • Frida Maanum
OffVilde Bøe RisaNorway (W)Risa off, replaced by Maanum.

84'

Caroline Graham Hansen on a mazy run is falling as she gets her shot away, and Oluehi has to snuffle that out for a corner.

83'

Substitute Thorsnes fancies making an immediate impact, with a dig from range, seeing as she has the space and time to, but Oluehi holds.

  • Elise Thorsnes

11,500 supporters in the stadium tonight.

76'

Hjelmseth is doing her best to give Nigeria at least a sniff of goal, happy to come off her line very swiftly now.

Kanu replaces the captain, who's on that booking from the first half.

68'

Disastrous from Oshoala, who's been quiet tonight - the goalkeeper has come out and left her goal exposed, but the striker can't keep her head, takes it to the touchline, and doesn't even get a shot on target.

-
-

Quite a few hefty challenges now - Caroline Graham Hansen finds herself on the floor after being sandwiched between two Nigeria players.

62'

Engen and Wold both need treatment here - Chikwelu skulks away from the incident.

-

Just not good enough from Nigeria - another corner and another wild shot that barely troubles the goalkeeper.

59'

Okeke is shoulder-charged by Risa, getting a free kick in the centre of the park.

-
56'

Ohale has plenty to make up for today, she's having a bit of a nightmare. Here she nicks the ball off the toes of Herlovsen away for a corner.

55'

Back under way but Norway show no mercy - right on the offensive again.

-

Okeke is going to replace the stricken Michael.

-

They're taking their time putting Michael on the stretcher.

Taking the opportunity to make a change.

-

Oh, she got taken out by her own goalkeeper as they both tried to deal with the cross in.

49'

Not even sure what happened there but Michael is on the floor.

47'

Oluehi gathers and then spills the ball after it's ushered back to her by Ohale, and proceeds to gather again.

-

Norway start as they finished the first half, quick on the ball and closing down whenever a Nigeria player gets a hint of possession.

46'

Kick-off for the second half!

-
-
45'+2

HALF-TIME. Norway are buzzing. The entire squad are high-fiving as they head off for the break.

-

Another free kick from Mjelde - it's dipping, but not quite enough.

  • Francisca Ordega

A deserved booking.

45'

Reiten is brought down by Ordega right on the edge of the box.

41'

The neutrals in the stadium are urging Nigeria on, to make a contest of this. Okobi mishits her shot, though, much to the relief of the wrongfooted Hjelmseth.

-

Norway certainly deserve a lead, and they've capitalised on their chances, but Nigeria have to be disappointed with their own failures here.

  • Osinachi Ohale

GOAL! Oh my goodness. From a Nigeria goalkick, Herlovsen squares the ball with pace from the right, and Ohale deflects into her own net.

-

That was really nicely worked. Nigeria gave Norway too much space, but the passing and the finish were sublime.

  • Lisa-Marie Utland

GOAL! Too late. Nigeria's failure to clear their lines properly leaves Utland in oodles of space, and she hits it beautifully into the top of the net.

32'

That's more like it! Cutting down the right side of the box, and a dangerous ball in, but again the Nigerian captain makes a nuisance of herself outside the actual laws of the game.

30'

Too much weight on these Nigeria balls forward, they're making it easy for the goalkeeper now.

-

Absolute scramble in the box, Herlovsen can't connect, and Faith Michael is left prone on the floor clutching the top of her head.

28'

The goal has made Norway much more confident on the ball. Yet another corner, against courtesy of Caroline Graham Hansen.

-
25'

It's Mjelde on the end of it, but she heads past the wrong side of the post.

-

The ball through at the other end to Herlovsen is just a little bit too heavy, and it's out for a corner. Graham Hansen to take.

23'

Maren Mjelde is looking very cool out there, showing off a bit of ball control in front of her own goal under pressure.

21'

Oparanozie thinks she was shoved in the neck in the penalty area there, but the referee and assistants aren't interested.

-

Nigeria are pushing right back, though - can they capitalise from one of these corners they keep forcing?

-

That goal was coming.

  • Guro Reiten

GOAL! From a corner, it falls to Reiten in the box, who benefits from a lucky forest of defenders' legs, and it squirms in at the far post.

-

This one swings towards the far post but is cleared.

16'

Another free kick to Norway. This one's out on the right.

15'

Mjelde takes, but it skews high and wide.

-

She then gives away a free kick in a central position, about 35 yards out.

13'

First booking of the evening to captain Oparanozie for a sly foul.

12'

Oluehi is quick off her line and brave to dive at the feet of an onrushing Norway attack.

11'

Risa is struggling to assert herself in midfield at the moment.

9'

The Nigeria defence opens up as Herlovsen weaves her way in, but it's one touch too many.

-

Nigeria are looking very confident in these opening exchanges. Another corner for them, this one met by Ebere, again the goalkeeper holds.

-

The header at the near post is easy for Hjelmseth to control.

2'

Nigeria are pushing hard in these opening stages - and win the first corner thanks to the industry of Ordega.

1'

We're under way!

-

Incidentally, Sian Massey is one of the officials in the VAR room tonight.

-

Anthems have been sung and referee Kate Jacewicz is about to have a chat with the captains.

-

Can confirm that Gianni Infantino is indeed in attendance.

20:50

Lots of formalities to get through - the teams are lining up in the tunnel.

NORWAY - Hjelmseth, Wold, Thorisdottir, Mjelde, Risa, Herlovsen, Graham Hansen, Utland, Engen, Reiten, Minde. Subs: Hovland, Hansen, Thorsnes, Fiskerstrand, Asland, Eikeland, Maanum, Kvamme, Haavi, Saevik, Nautnes, Bogstad. /// NIGERIA: Oluehi, Ohale, Ebere, Ebi, Oshoala, Oparanozie, Chikwelu, Okobi, Michael, Ordega, Ayinde. Subs: Okoronkwo, Nwabuoku, Imo, Uchendu, Kanu, Ajibade, Nnadozie, Ihezuo, Okeke, Jonathan, Ogebe, Chukwubi.

-

There are plenty of dignitaries in tonight - the mayor of host city Reims, and so on - but FIFA president Gianni Infantino is also on the list of special guests, along with a trio of former players - Michael Essien, Osaze Odemwingie (perhaps better known as Peter to English fans), and Hege Riise, part of Norway's World Cup-winning squad in 1995.

-

This is a Group A match - and there will be some familiar faces on the pitch if you follow the game in England. For Nigeria there's Asisat Oshoala, now at Barcelona but previously at Liverpool and Arsenal; for Norway there's Chelsea's Maren Mjelde and Maria Thorisdottir. One big star who's not here and could have been is Ballon D'or winner Ada Hegerberg, who has said she does not want to be considered for international duty.
