A massive result for Scotland and Strachan! The Dark Blues are still in qualification contention, but only just. Martin scored a late winner for the hosts just as all looked lost. There is still so much for them to do if they are to make it to Russia, but this gets them on the right path again.

- End of 2nd Half
FULL TIME: Scotland 1-0 Slovenia
Scotland have been the better of the two teams over the whole, but there was a sense that they had missed their chance to claim all three points. Then Chris Martin popped up to Fix You (sorry, couldn't resist).
Now it's time for Scotland to hold out with everything they have. This result would give their ailing qualification campaign a shot in the arm, but they must make sure they hold on.
Three minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the match.
- GoalChris MartinScotland
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Scotland 1 (88 mins - Chris Martin) Slovenia 0. Scotland have taken the lead with just minutes left to play! It's Martin, the player the home fans booed coming off the bench! He found the net with a low shot via the inside of the left hand post.
We have now reached the stage of the match where Scotland lump the ball into the penalty area in the hope of finding Martin. It's not making for the most of entertaining matches.
Tierney is takin it upon himself to drive at the Slovenian defence, although he's the only one showing the confidence to take on opposition players. It's just not happening for Scotland.
That was terrific from Tierney, driving into the Slovenian penalty area, but the ball is hacked away. There was nobody at the back post to make the most of the cross anyway.
Can Scotland create one last chance to snatch all three points? This time Naismith takes the shot from the best part of 20 yards, but it's a dribbler and Oblak can make the save.
- OffJames MorrisonScotland
- OnChris MartinScotland
This sub prompts boos from the Hampden crowd, with Martin coming off the bench for the final 10 minutes.
Strachan is about to make his final change of the match here. Martin is down off the bench and is about to come on for Scotland, which means they will lump balls into the box.
FORREST GOT TO THE BYLINE! The Celtic winger did really well to get to the byline, but from a tight angle he couldn't find anyone in a dark blue shirt. Missed opportunity, that.
This is better from Scotland. The introduction of Anya has injected some pace and urgency into the home side, but they are still struggling to create much in the way of chances.
WHAT A CHANCE FOR ANYA! The ball fell to the winger just seconds after being brought off the bench, but he completely scuffed his shot form just inside the box and Oblak makes the save.
- OffRobert SnodgrassScotland
- OnIkechi AnyaScotland
Strachan finally makes a change and it's Anya who comes on to replace Snodgrass for the final 15 minutes.
All the while, there's still no activity from Strachan in terms of bringing anyone off the bench. Time is running out for Scotland and the fluency has disappeared from their game.
The first half was an enthralling 45 minutes, but this second half has been anything but enthralling. Scotland have fallen flat, with Slovenia quite happy with things the way they are.
Surely Morrison is the one who needs to be replaced? Things have grown stagnant for Scotland in the middle of the pitch. The West Brom man isn't contributing enough to the game.
- OffValter BirsaSlovenia
- OnRobert BericSlovenia
Indeed, there's the change from Slovenia as they look to claim all three points from this one.
Slovenia make another change, yet there is still no sign from Scotland altering things. Strachan and McGhee are in discussion in the dug out, but there is no activity on the bench.
Strachan is down on the touchline handing out instructions to his players. It's not really sure what exactly he is telling them, though. There's a lot of arm waving going on.
The loss of Griffiths right at the start of the second half has also hit Scotland hard. Naismith doesn't really play in the same way and so the hosts are no longer getting in behind.
Scotland definitely need something off the bench now. Strachan is sticking with what he has for the moment, though, despite the fact that the home side have fallen flat in this half.
That was good goalkeeping from Oblak. The Atletico Madrid goalkeeper made up his mind really early and came off his line to make an important punch from a Snodgrass freekick.
The home fans aren't happy with some of the tackles coming in from some of the Slovenia players. Indeed, there have been rather late with one or two of their challenges.
YELLOW CARD: Valter Birsa (Slovenia). That's an easy decision for the referee to make, with Birsa taking down Morrison on the break.
This game has died a little bit now, especially from a Scottish point of view. Strachan needs to make a change from the bench. The hosts need some fresh energy through the middle.
- OffRoman BezjakSlovenia
- OnBenjamin VerbicSlovenia
Slovenia make their first change of the match and there is a sense that they are building towards mounting a real challenge in the final 30 minutes of this match.
Scotland are playing a different kind of way since Naismith came on. He doesn't get in behind in the same way Griffiths does, instead using his slightly unexpected aerial presence.
This is better from Scotland. They are pressing on the edge of the Slovenian penalty area, getting themselves into dangerous positions, but the final ball is lacking from their play.
YELLOW CARD: Roman Bezjak (Slovenia). There's another yellow card, this time shown to Bezjak for a late challenge on the marauding Tierney.
Armstrong was the best player on the pitch in the first half, but Scotland are struggling to get him involved as much in this second period. His late runs into the area are important.
Ilicic takes aim from the best part of 25 yards, but Brown was right on top of the effort to make the block. There is a sense that Slovenia have started the second half the better of the two sides.
Scotland need to rouse themselves now. The energy has been sapped from inside Hampden following the injury to Griffiths. The game hasn't really started in this second half.
- OffLeigh GriffithsScotland
- OnSteven NaismithScotland
The change is finally made and Naismith comes on to replace the injured Griffiths.
For the moment Scotland are down to 10 men while they prepare the change to replace Griffiths. Slovenia are taking this chance to knock the ball around the middle of the pitch.
This is a real blow for Scotland. Griffiths might have missed a golden opportunity in the first half, but they look a much more dangerous team with the Celtic striker leading the line.
GRIFFITHS IS INJURED! The Celtic striker isn't going to be able to continue here. He took a knee in the back from Oblak and he will be replaced. He's down on the turf in pain.
Scotland are within their rights to feel aggrieved that they are not ahead in this match. They were by far the better of the two teams, but have yet to find the back of the net.

- End of 1st Half
HALF TIME: Scotland 0-0 Slovenia. The hosts have been the better of the two teams and so Strachan will be disappointed that his side hasn't been able to make the most of their chances.
Just one minute of stoppage time to be played at the end of the first half.
Scotland have a chance right before the break to get a corner kick into the penalty area, but the delivery from Snograss was poor and Slovenia can make the clearance with ease.
That was risky defending from Robertson to say the least! He was wary that he had a Slovenian player behind him as a cross came into the box, but he headed it back into the area and Mulgrew had to react quickly.
That was a dismal effort from Birsa. He can be quite dangerous from set pieces, but he smashed this freekick straight at the Scotland wall. He really should have done better with that.
Scotland have been the better of the two teams in this first half, but they have yet to open the scoring and that will be of concern to Strachan. They need to make the most of what they have.
That was undoubtedly the best Scotland spell of the match so far, but the score remains goalless. Griffiths will certainly feel that he should have opened the scoring with one of his two chances.
CLEARED OFF THE LINE! Now it's Morrison who heads an effort towards goal, but a Slovenia defender was back on the line to head over the bar. Oblak was beaten. Scotland so close.
HE'S HIT THE POST NOW! Griffiths strikes the woodwork for the second time in a matter of minutes! This time the striker hits a first-time right footed shot from 16 yards, but it hits the inside of the post and bounces away.
That just sums up Griffiths' international career so far. At club level he is lethal, but he has yet to score for Scotland in 12 appearances. He really should have broken his duck there.
HOW DID HE MISS? Snodgrass hangs a cross up to the back post where Griffiths was completely unmarked, but he somehow managed to strike the crossbar from about six yards out!
Scotland are struggling to win the ball back at the moment. Slovenia are controlling things on the edge of the home team's penalty area. The home fans are starting to grow restless.
Slovenia seem to be taking their time over throw ins and set pieces. They seem to be quite happy with the way things are going at the moment, keeping Scotland at arm's length.
Over the bar from Armstrong. The Scotland midfielder drifted into the penalty area to get on the end of a Robertson cross into the penalty box, but his header flashes over the bar.
It's not working out for Tierney on the right side of the pitch. He's so obviously left footed. He looks uncomfortable in that position, but Strachan is yet to recognise it. Swap with Robertson?
JUST WIDE! That was the closest Scotland have come to an opener in this first half. A cross is cleared to the edge of the box, where Morrison picks it up and shoots just past the post.
SHOT OVER THE BAR! Scotland were caught sleeping at the back, with a long ball into the area falling to the feet of Ilicic, but he sends his shot well over the target, prompting jeers.
Grifiths is called for an offside and that illustrates just how high Slovenia are playing their defensive line. The Celtic striker will need to adapt to that and change the way he's playing.
This game has now fallen into something of a lull. Neither team are really pressing that much, feeling out each other in the centre of the pitch. The chances in the final third have dried up.
The Hampden crowd now believe some of the Slovenian players are making the most of contact and throwing themselves to the ground. Indeed, Kurtic made the most of a challenge from Morrison.
- Yellow cardBoštjan CesarSlovenia
YELLOW CARD: Bostjan Cesar (Slovenia). The away captain sees a yellow card and he's not happy about it. That seems harsh. Was it for dissent?
That was a waste from Forrest. Scotland have looked dangerous from set pieces so far, but Snodgrass decided to play this one short and Forrest puts his cross out of play.
Robertson surges down the left side on the Scottish counter attack, but his cross into the area is blocked by the first man. That's better from the home team, though. More of that.
GORDON MAKES THE SAVE! Bezjak breaks in behind the Scottish defence, but has no support in the middle. He is forced to take the shot from a tight angle, with Gordon saving at his near post.
The frustration is starting to grow around Hampden. Scotland started well but there are signs that Slovenia are beginning to take a grip of things. The hosts look vulnerable at the back.
This will be a concern for Strachan. So many times before Scotland have started well then faded away to record a disappointing result. That's exactly what has happened here. Can they avoid the disappointing result this time?
CHANCE FOR GRIFFITHS! Forrest did really well to get to the byline and dig a cross out for Griffiths, but the Celtic striker can't quite direct his header on target. Not too far away.
That was a risky one! Martin played a dodgy backpass back to Gordon, with the Scotland goalkeeper coming to the edge of his box to play a pass with his head. Audacious.
It's an extremely low attendance at Hampden for this one. The enthusiasm has been sucked from the Scottish football public with regards to the national team in recent years.
The tempo from the game seems to have dropped in the last few moments. Slovenia have got a grip of the contest and are now looking to pass the ball around themselves.
Of course, Scotland must win this match if they are to stand any chance of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup. They have suffered a dismal start to the campaign, picking up just four points from four games.
It must be said, this has been an excellent start to the match by Scotland. Slovenia have been pegged deep inside their own half, with the home midfield pressing high up on them.
SCOTLAND HAVE A GOAL CHALKED OFF! Martin rises highest from a corner kick to head home, but he pushed his marker to get there and the referee awards the foul. Right decision.
YELLOW CARD: Bojan Jokic (Slovenia). That's a foolish booking for Jokic to pick up, taking down Forrest when the ball was probably heading out of play.
GREAT TACKLE! Slovenia come flying forward on the counter attack, with Ilicic bursting into the Scotland box. But Robertson tracks him all the way and makes a wonderful sliding challenge.
Now it's Tierney who breaks into the Slovenian penalty area, getting the shot away on goal, but his effort takes a deflection and Oblak makes the diving save. It probably wasn't on target.
MARTIN COMES CLOSE! Scotland almost force an opener within minutes! Snodgrass' corner kick into the area finds Martin, but Oblak gets down low to prevent the ball from finding the net.
First attack of the game comes from Scotland, with Oblak almost caught out by a bouncing ball. Griffiths was very nearly in on the Slovenian goal there. Good start by the hosts.
- 1st Half
The match is under way at Hampden Park! It's Scotland against Slovenia.
Strachan has made a number of interesting calls this evening. Tierney is playing at right back, with Mulgrew playing as a centre back. There's no place for Darren Fletcher, with Armstrong in there instead. Griffiths will lead the line.
