Cooper comes on to replace Gilmour.
GOAL FOR SCOTLAND! McTominay deflects home with his chest from a yard out after McGinn's corner was flicked on at the front post by Hendry and the Manchester United man by hook or by crook put it into the net.
Six minutes of injury time to be played.
What a chance! McGinn was brilliantly found eight yards from goal by Christie on the right flank but his low effort was blocked by Marciano's legs.
Patterson picks up a yellow card he will be happy to take as he stopped Solomon getting away on the counter-attack.
McGinn latches onto a Tiernay header but sees his shot deflected wide of the target.
McGregor now on the left flank forces a corner and the fans roar to salute Gilmour but his corner is cleared by Israel.
Strange move from the referee. Initially he seemed happy with a crunching tackle from Gilmour on Kinda but then he had a change of heart and booked the young Chelsea star.
Abaid is down and being worked on after stretching something lunging to deny Christie. The Scottish fans are booing, believing he is slowing the pace of the game down.
Kinda comes on for Arad for Israel.
McGinn with another corner and another foul on Marciano is given.
Israel are not looking like getting back in the game. Here McGinn wins a free kick 35 yards from goal which Gilmour curls to the back post and Marciano drops under pressure from Dykes allowing Tiernay to tap home but the goal is rightly ruled out.
Christie replaces Adams for Scotland. Seems a strange call. The Southampton man had a big impact as the hosts got back into the game in the first 15 minutes of the second half.
Double substitution for Israel with Dabbur and Natcho and being replaced by Weissman and Glazer.
Somewhere in the maelstrom, Robertson was shown a yellow card.
What a chance for Dykes. Another amazing cross from Robertson but Dykes heads within reach of the keeper who does make one hell of a save.
Patterson gets to the by-line but cannot get the ball to Adams at the far post with Marciano lunging to get in a crucial hand to the ball.
So close to going behind again. Solomon has all day to cross in from the left flank and Hendry allows Zahavi to ghost behind him unmarked but his header is soft and Gordon can save.
Zahavi instead gets a yellow card for his complaints.
GOAL IS GIVEN! Dykes' goal stands. What a moment here at Hampden Park. Dykes' yellow card for a high boot is nullified too....kind of lesser a deal that.
VAR! The referee is now looking at the incident on screen. It seems harsh but he was jumping with boot above his waist. A superb cross from Robertson.
GOAL FOR SCOTLAND! Dykes has Scotland back on level terms - NO! The referee has ruled it out for a high boot.
McGinn is given time 25 yards goal amazingly but his effort is blocked.
McTominay exchanges passes with Adams but cannot control the ball to get a shot at goal. All Scotland now though.
McGinn swings the corner in and Marciano holds on to the ball despite a firm challenge from McTominay which is penalised.
A mistake from Peretz puts Adams through in the right hand side of the penalty area but his centre is put behidn for a corner.
McGinn is late on a slide tackle taking down Solomon and picks up a booking.
Israel get the game back underway.
What a half at Hampden Park. Scotland missed a golden chance to come in level but you still feel they will have chances to get back into the game.
SAVED! Dykes slams the kick low down the middle and Marciano blocks it with his left foot.
PENALTY! McGinn's corner was punched out by Marciano and then Gilmour got to the ball before Natcho on the edge of the box and the referee has pointed to the spot.
Scotland looking more dynamic now and have won a corner which McGinn will swing in.
Scotland having a lot of possession in the Israel half now but not able to forge any openings.
GOAL FOR ISRAEL! What a nightmare. Dreadful defending from a long free kick from the left flank and Arad heads the ball into Peretz who deflects the ball goalwards and though Gordon parries the ball with his right hand, Dabbur taps home to restore the advantage.
GOAL FOR SCOTLAND! McGinn curls home from the edge of the box after fantastic work from Robertson who played a one-two with Adams before playing in the Sheffield United man who made no mistake.
Dykes heads at goal from Gilmour's free kick but Marciano is comfortably behind it.
McTominay leaps high at the back post to meet Robertson's cross but does not get a great contact on the ball and it is blocked by a defender.
Tiernay gets a first chance to launch a throw into the Israel area but the visitors clear comfortably.
Dykes is penalised for an elbow on Arad, which looked a harsh award, especially galling as it stifled a rare Scotland attack.
Dabbur again caught late in the central area of the field, this time by McTominay. The official still keeping his cards to himself.
Dykes does well to get around Bitton on the left hand side and shoot at goal but Marciano paws the ball away.
Solomon is found from a long ball over the top of the Scotland defence with McTominay in his wake but the Israel striker cannot control the ball.
Patterson comes through the back of Dabbur and is maybe lucky not to get a yellow card.
McGinn plays in Adams but he cannot get a shot in at goal.
It is too easy for Israel to play through Scotland at present with Dasa getting numerous chances to cross from the right flank before Peretz's effort is deflected over the bar.
GOAL FOR ISRAEL! Zahavi takes it and curls an unstoppable effort over the wall and past Gordon's right hand.
A poor mistake from Hendry sees him bundle into Zahavi on the edge of the box giving Israel a great chance to test Gordon.
Scotland move well down the right hand side and the ball is fed to Adams 10 yards from goal but his shot is straight at the keeper.
Scotland get the match underway...
Hampden Park is jumping...we're just about ready to go.
Israel come into the game on the back of a 5-0 humbling from Denmark and Willibald Ruttensteiner has made five changes with Arad, Abaid, Peretz, Bitton and Dabbur coming in for Dgnai, Tibi, Elhamed, Glazer and Weissman.
Two changes for Scotland from the side who won in Vienna last month with Scott McTominay coming back into the side for Grant Hanley and Nathan Patterson replacing Stephen O'Donnell at right wing-back.
Scotland currently have 11 points and Israel 10, both having played six games. Austria are three points further back but play Faroe Islands today, so a draw at Hampden Park will likely bring them back into contention. A win though will have the Scots feeling they have one foot in Qatar. Maybe even cause to boogie.
A big match this. A battle between the two sides likely to vie for second place in the group behind Denmark. The first match in Tel Aviv between the pair finished one apiece.
This is the Israel XI who will take to the field in Hampden Park in around 40 minutes' time:
Marciano; Dasa, Arad, Menachem, Abaid; Peretz, Natcho, Solomon, Bitton; Dabbur, Zahavi.
This is the side Steve Clarke has selected for this evening's game...
