PANAMA CHANCE!

And this was probably their final chance! A lovely ball over the top finds Godoy, but he tries a first-time volley and gets it all wrong, firing high and wide. It wasn't an easy opportunity, to be fair.

90'+1

We are into the first of five additional minutes.

90'

Ovalle's devilish cross somehow evades two or three Panama players inside the penalty box - it was begging to be turned in. Anyway, the offside flag was up so it wouldn't have counted.

After a slow start, the game improved and it's actually been mildly entertaining. Probably better than England's match with Belgium, by the sounds of things.

85'

Tunisia have suffered nine losses and drawn four times since their last World Cup victory in 1978 - but they are just five minutes away from ending that embarrassing record, if they can hold on.

83'

Hernan Dario Gomez almost lets his frustration boils over as he has words with Naguez at the touch-line. The Panama manager is just about up to his chest, so he finally comes to his senses and the pair share a hug!

75'

Fifteen minutes remaining, but Tunisia's job is far from complete. There are just one or two signs that Panama aren't prepared to go down without a fight.

73'

GOAL DISALLOWED!

A lovely finish from Barcenas as he curls the shot into the top corner from 20 yards. It's ruled out though as Tejada is adjudged to have fouled Naguez in the build-up.

70'

Panama can't capitalise on some sloppy defending as Rodriguez is allowed space for a shot but his effort is straight at Mathlouthi.

68'

Escobar leaves his foot in and Sliti goes down inside the box, prompting strong appeals from Tunisia for a penalty! The referee signals play on - the Panama defender got just enough on the ball.

GOAAAAALLLLL! Panama 1-2 Tunisia

Lovely inter-link play from Haadadi and Badri as they exchange passes, before the former looks up and drills the ball across the face of goal to leave Khazri with a tap-in at the back post. It's his second goal of the World Cup.

Comeback complete!

64'

Tunisia's worst nightmare isn't quite realised as Mathlouthi gathers himself to his feet and looks OK to continue.

63'

Oh, what do we have here? Frantic defending from Tunisia - and they just about get away with it! Mathlouthi flaps at a cross, the loose ball falls to Barcenas whose volley catches the goalkeeper straight in the face.

Mathlouthi, who is Tunisia's third-choice goalkeeper is hurt - and they have no back-up goalie!

62'

Khazri tries his luck from 20 yards with a low, powerful shot, but it's comfortable enough for Penedo. Youssef is furious, he had made a lung-busting run to the back post but wasn't spotted by his greedy team mate.

61'

Panama remain camped deep in their own half, hindered by the fact they are unable to keep a hold of the ball. Surely it's only a matter of time before Tunisia score their second.

59'

The corner count is rising as Tunisia continue to build pressure on the Panama back-line but again the set-piece comes to little.

56'

This is a real shame as Torres, the giant defender who scored the winning goal to secure Panama's place in the World Cup, is going to limp off.

54'

There is a break in play as Torres is treated for an injury.

53'

SAVE!

Panama are floundering now! Khazri and Torres have a coming together, the referee allows play to continue and suddenly Youssef is through on goal... but his effort from point-blank range is saved by the feet of Penedo.

50'

Belgium have taken the lead against England in the other Group G game. That means Roberto Martinez's side would top the group, with three wins from three.

48'

Panama have gone to a back five in a bid to protect their slender advantage. They were defending extremely deep towards the end of the first-half and I would imagine their approach will be similar for the remainder of this match, providing they lead.

47'

Gabriel Torres made way for Harold Cummings for Panama, with Tunisia bringing on Anice Badri for Sassi.

HALF-TIME!

The referee calls time on the first-half. Panama had to defend for the majority of the opening 45 minutes but they lead, thanks to Yassine Meriah's own-goal.

TUNISIA CHANCE!

Khazri's initial volley is blocked but he gets a second bite of the cherry, this time forcing Penedo into a fine save. The loose ball is hacked desperately clear.

YELLOW CARD!

Sassi catches Rodriguez from behind in a deliberate foul to prevent Panama's counter-attack and it's absolutely no surprise to see the referee produce the first booking of the match.

40'

OVER!

A promising break down the left is wasted! Haddadi races down the left and arches a cross to the back post. Khazri tries a first-time volley but his own team mate Chaalani gets in the way, resulting in the Tunisian midfielder blazing his shot miles over the bar.

38'

WIDE!

Well that's much better from Tunisia. Haddadi gets involved from full-back, swinging a cross to the near post for Youssef but he slices his header wide of the far post. That's the closest they have come to an equaliser.

35'

Tunisia have had 71 per cent of possession, but find themselves behind. They have struggled in the final third and it's difficult to feel sorry for them.

34'

It's a goal against the run of play, but Panama won't care. There is a long way to go but can they hold on for their first ever World Cup victory?

GOAAAAAALLLLL! Panama 1-0 Tunisia

VAR is checked for a hint of offside... no, it's going to count. Panama are ahead with just their second World Cup goal.

31'

Dear me, that is poor. Nagguez anticipates his marker missing the interception and he has all the time in the world to deliver a decent cross. He has team mates queuing up in the middle but inexplicably slices his delivery out for a goal-kick.

30'

Half an hour has been played, with little to none goal-mouth action to reflect on. Panama's manager will be content with how his side have coped with the Tunisian front-line.

28'

I am impressed with the number of spectators in attendance for this 'dead rubber'. Sadly they haven't been able to get excited about.. well, anything really.

27'

A switched pass has Haddadi racing but there's just too much zip on the ball as it rolls out harmlessly for a goal-kick.

The game is yet to spark into life, it has to be said.

24'

Barcenas drives Panama forward with his blistering pace as he races down the channel but his cut-back fails to find Avila and Tunisia have the ball back.

22'

Sliti makes a clever run behind the Panama defence to reach a long ball over the top and tries an improvised shot, but fails to generate any power with his effort.

21'

Saying that, Panama allow Bedoui to wriggle free unmarked to meet Khazri's corner delivery but his header is straight down the throat of Penedo who makes a comfortable save.

20'

Panama's approach to defending set-pieces against England was quite physical, if not crazy. They are dealing with Tunisia's free-kicks and corners much better tonight.

18'

Tunisia dominating the game, as expected, with 60 per cent of possession. They are yet to make it count though.

17'

The ball is cut back to Youssef on the edge of the penalty area... but his shot is charged down by Escobar. Pamana are defending rather well presently.

15'

Penedo is off his line quickly to gather Nagguez's deep cross. Panama have conceded the most goals in this tournament but their goalkeeper hasn't been to blame; he's been rather impressive, in fact.

13'

Schoolboy stuff from Gabriel Torres as the Panama forward is caught miles offside as the goalkeeper hoofed the ball his direction.

11'

They have mostly been under the cosh but Panama finally threaten in attack as Machado hurls in a long throw-in, finding the head of Gabriel Torres but he's unable to direct his header goalwards.

9'

OVER!

The ball sits up perfectly for Sliti to have another crack at goal! It's a better effort but his dipping volley doesn't come down in time to find the top corner.

7'

Tunisia's front-line is beginning to find its groove - Youssef sets up Sliti for an acrobatic bicycle-kick but inevitably sends it over the bar.

6'

Tunisia work the ball to the left channel where Sliti effortlessly skips past his marker. He whips a dangerous low cross to Youssef at the near post but Escobar is in the right place to make a crucial intervention.

5'

Panama clear their lines relatively comfortably and without any real drama.

4'

Avila commits a needless foul on Khazri, and now Tunisia have a free-kick in a wide position. Watch out for the WWE action inside the penalty area as this cross comes in...

3'

The pressure is off for both nations so I am expecting quite an open game. Neither side can defend as we have learnt in the other games, but what are they capable of in an attacking sense?

2'

Tunisia pressure! But there's no way past the giant frame of Romero Torres who heads clear for Panaman (who else?).

KICK-OFF!

Off we go, then. Panama get us underway.

18:56

And now it's Tunisia's turn. There has been only two victories for African nations during this tournament - and Senegal crashed out earlier. Can Tunisia restore some pride for the continent?

18:55

Right, it's time for the national anthems - Panama first. Who knows when they will make another appearance at the World Cup, so the players and fans will be enjoying and savouring this moment.

18:45

Tunisia are using their third-choice goalkeeper this evening, Aymen Mathlouthi who makes his World Cup debut.

The Tunisians were refused permission by FIFA to add a goalkeeper after losing their first and second choice, meaning they won't have a backup tonight.

Just imagine the scenes if Mathlouthi is sent off or injured!

18:40

Tunisia have been rather poor, it has to be said. They were expected to be a strong, difficult team to beat but they were pulled apart by Belgium in a 5-2 defeat on Sunday.

Their embarrassing World Cup record may play on their mind - they haven't won in 13 games, since 1978 - but I fully expect them to overcome Panama this evening.

18:35

Gomez has made six changes to the Panama side that lost heavily to England.

Thankfully Roman Torres keeps his place in defence, as I think he is simply brilliant.

Panama's national football team Roman Torres raises his shirt to reveal his tatoo during a press conference at the Olympic training center in Saransk-Russia on June 10 , 2018, ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
18:30

Panama have conceded eight goals in their two games, but have they really disgraced themselves? Not for me. The supporters are loving every moment of this experience and it was heart-warming to see manager Hernan Dario Gomez smiling after his side scored their first World Cup goal against England, even at 6-1 down.

They played OK for 45 minutes at Belgium but ultimately didn't possess the quality in the second-half to keep the likes of Lukaku and Hazard out.

Unfortunately I can't see them winning tonight, either. Tunisia will be too strong.

18:20

Good evening and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of the World Cup Group G clash between Panama and Tunisia.

Having lost their respective two matches, neither side can qualify for the last 16 - but pride is still very much still at stake.

Panama are playing in their first ever World Cup and will be determined to pick up their first points, while Tunisia haven't won in the competition in over 30 years.

It's clear then that both nations are desperate for some joy. Who will be smiling at full time?
