Team news: Russia start Dzagoev and Golovin in World Cup opener

World Cup hosts Russia start both Alan Dzagoev and Aleksandr Golovin for their opening match against Saudi Arabia.

The hosts' squad has been ravaged by injury in the build up to the tournament but manager Stanislav Cherchesov is still able to call upon two of his most influential players.

Dzagoev has been the darling of Russian football for some time whilst Golovin made waves when he scored a free-kick against Arsenal in the Europa League.

Fyodor Smolov starts up front whilst 38-year-old Sergei Ignashevich starts in the centre of defence.

For Saudi Arabia the talismanic Mohammed Al-Sahlawi starts up front whilst the exciting Fahad Al-Muwallad is an option of the bench for Juan Antonio Pizzi.
