'You never know' - Arsenal's Mesut Ozil open to Real Madrid return
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has refused to rule out a possible return to Real Madrid, saying that in football you never know what may happen.
Ozil joined Arsenal from Real in the summer of 2013 and he has since helped the club to win two FA Cups.
However with his contract saga still on-going there had been reports in the Spanish media that the German wanted to return to the club.
"I am very happy playing in such a big club like Arsenal, which has amazing fans and they also encourage me a lot. I am playing very well in London, but in football you never know...We'll see what happens in the future."
During the interview Ozil was pushed on whether or not he missed being in Madrid.
"I miss the weather [laughs]. That sun is...there is always sun. I tell you, I have great memories from there, with the club, the city, people...Of course, sometimes you stop and think and well, you can miss it....Now I am happy at Arsenal, but you never know what can happen in the future. We will see..."
The interviewer also asked Ozil whether he felt he had made a mistake by leaving Madrid to join Arsenal.

"I do not make mistakes. I'm happy to have taken this adventure in England, having grown as a player and as a person. I am also very happy to play in such a big club like Arsenal."
Ozil's current deal with Arsenal runs until the end of the 2017-18 season, the same as team-mate Alexis Sanchez, and fans are starting to become concerned about the possibility of losing them.
